00:25Então Clout, Fonvielle, Jules Pietra, Cannon, e Bourdon, e Bourdon,
00:30e Bourdon slides his way into 3ª, great move that, but Pietra
00:34looking to bounce back and get around the outside of the inside of him,
00:37maybe, if he can, doesn't quite work out for him, though.
00:40E aí, for Clout, just that inside, if you get off relatively clean,
00:45he can sneak around that inside, he's been making that work all weekend long.
00:48He's a great starter anyway, but, you know, between his quick lap times
00:53and also just the savviness to be able to move around that inside.
00:56He's put himself in good position, and yes, he's had a little bit of an edge
00:59in Race 2 and Race 2 over Bourdon, but I would say the starts have really been
01:03the biggest factor, because you're talking about marginal differences,
01:06but Clout already has, you know, 3ª lead over Bourdon.
01:11That's, you're asking a lot to close that down in a short race.
01:14Yeah.
01:14We have less than 4 minutes plus a lap to go.
01:16Into that, so just to the right where these guys here, that far rhythm section,
01:20down the back into that left-hander. See the spark come off the footpeg there of Bourdon's Honda,
01:26where he obviously titanium onto maybe a little bit of hard dirt slash rock.
01:32I don't know if they got that on a slow-mo. Nothing fancy, but anyway, here is Luke Clown.
01:40He's not the Tiger King today.
01:42No. Bright, though. Got some neon going on. But, I mean, Clout's a veteran at this point, right?
01:48This would be arguably the only race of the year, you know, if it's arguable,
01:52that he'd be racing a 250, 450 veteran, battling for Australian Supercross championships,
01:56was on the podium at Stuttgart a week ago, so he has a lot of experience.
01:59And that was on the 450?
02:00Yep. He had a lot of experience, not necessarily in Paris, but it all translates,
02:04and I think you've seen that comes to a race for the first time, has been running up front all weekend
02:09long. And really, outside of race one, where he lost the lead, it's been basically flawless.
02:14Well, obviously, if you are joining us for the first time, this SX2, this 250 class,
02:18is pretty much, it's got two prongs to it. It's part of the French Supercross championship,
02:23which Calvin Pompier there on the red plate, number 11, currently leads over Michael Hicks.
02:28But it's also the Prince of Paris, so there'll be two separate podiums at the end of the night for
02:33the SX2 guys, one for the overall on the day, and one for the overall Prince of Paris. So,
02:39but in terms of that Prince of Paris, the best 250 rider in this Paris Supercross loop, Clout
02:44currently on four, he will move to five, as he looks to take a win. Bourdain, currently on five,
02:50he will pick up a third place finish, that'll put him on eight, so there'll be a bit of breathing
02:54space there for Clout, but Clout is not escaping the clutches of the two Frenchmen.
02:58Well, actually, I'm more impressed with Fonbiel, like Bourdain's closing the gap a little bit,
03:02but this is the closest he has been. It's really been a one-two kind of runaway after a couple laps
03:07in. You wonder if it's a lot of it because track is brand new, so like the margins compress a little
03:13bit as far as just skill and everybody can kind of go the same speed, but this is by far Calvin's
03:18best race of the weekend. Minute and a half to go plus a lap in this five minute plus one lap. Two of
03:24these races they get at this distance before a nine minute plus a lap final race of the day and of the
03:30weekend, which will determine the Prince of Paris. But yeah, Luke Clout looking like he's responding
03:36here. Fonbiel can't escape the clutches of Bourdain. Bourdain saw this a couple of times yesterday,
03:42apart from the first race where he hounded down Luke Clout, made his way past and won by a second
03:46and a half in the end. But that was the rocket on the backside that the Australian needed, wasn't it?
03:50And what we saw in that first race yesterday when Bourdain followed and made the move,
03:57sometimes easier, well most of the time it's easier to follow than it is to lead and Clout was probably
04:02caught in that. Am I doing everything okay? Right? Blah blah blah. Am I taking too much risk? Not
04:07enough risk? And then of course when he found himself in second in race two, he was able to do
04:11what Bourdain did to him, follow him, stalk his prey and obviously make the pass stick. And that seemed to be
04:16the sort of the icing on the cake. As Bourdain charges down the inside of Fonbiel takes second
04:21with about 30 seconds plus a lap to go. And he's still very much in contention for this Prince
04:27title. And Clout has changed one line and they're coming up to it. He changed one line at the end of
04:33this next straightaway. He'll go to the inside here and that was where he got past in race one yesterday.
04:38Ever since then, you'll see him up the inside. He skips on, skips off. Ever since he switched that,
04:43he's really been in control since then. So Bourdain's line is really quick there. I just
04:47think he did a great job of identifying where he was past. He's made a change, has never gone back.
04:52And really his results have never looked back either. Look how choppy that right turn is at
04:56the end of the FMX jump there. Just you see the front end fighting there from Luke Clout. Slippery as
05:00well. And slippery, yeah. Day two, moisture coming up through the ground. Yes, it's a little bit flatter,
05:05but the dirt kind of breathes differently inside here. The roof is closed. So just that moisture
05:11starting to come up all the time. Yeah. And you can tell like this race, when you talk about 42
05:15years of history, you're going to get a little bit of everything. I've raced this race and watched
05:18this race where it's hard pack, slippery, especially 80s and 90s, really hard. Then you went into 2000s,
05:25ruddy, really treacherous, soft. And you just wonder if it's the precipitation levels coming in. What is
05:31the difference? But this is kind of a happy medium. Yes, a little bit tricky, but also there is traction.
05:35Two corners to go. Are they getting ready for the checkered flag? Yes, they are. The white flag is
05:39about to come in here. And it's going to be Luke Clout who wins race one here. Day two,
05:45three wins in a row now because he was second in race one yesterday. Back to back wins in the final
05:50two races. He gets off to a winning start here, will extend his lead at the top of this Prince of
05:54Paris competition. There you go. Look, five, seven, because obviously Bourdain pulling back a point
06:01when he made that move on Calvin Fonvier. Fonvier is going to sit third on 13, Pietra on 18. And so,
06:08yeah. Cannon's so excited. He's just going to celebrate right there. Not really. He's trying to
06:14give knuckles to you.
