Two candidates from Sabah Peace Party (SPP) failed to join in the race in the upcoming 17th Sabah State Election as they arrived late at the nomination centre on Saturday (Nov 15) to submit their nomination forms.

00:13Abdul Hattah Abdul Hala and Ahmad Daud Awang were named as the party's candidates for the
00:18Sulabayan and Bugaya seats, respectively.
00:22Abdul Hattah said he accepted the outcome after missing the submission deadline,
00:26arriving just two minutes late.
00:28He nevertheless expressed his gratitude to the election commission and the staff at the nomination centre,
00:34praising their professionalism.
00:36The closing of nominations at 10am marked the start of the 14-day campaign period,
00:42which will end at 11.59pm on November 28th.
