Oregon Ducks Coach Dan Lanning discusses creative ways they ran the ball against Iowa . Lanning talked about how the rushing battle was a key part of the game and they did their jobs.

00:00Yeah, as much as, you know, the world tries to look ahead, we try to keep our eyes right,

00:08what's right in front of us.

00:09And I knew how our guys had to perform tonight, and I thought they did a great job of that.

00:13This is a tough team to run on.

00:14That's as good a defense as you'll get to play.

00:17And they play great, great D.

00:18But we felt like it was really important to run the ball.

00:20And we had a lot of creative ways to do that.

00:22I've got to give credit to our coaches and then credit to our players, you know,

00:25for Janoris to step up and play a really good game.

00:28And, again, we've got to go watch the film.

00:29But there's a bunch of guys out there that's numbers got called, Jamari and Roger,

00:33and those guys to show up and block the way they did and our backs to run the way they did

00:37and our wideouts blocking down the field.

00:39But we felt like that was an important key to the game is how we, you know, win the rushing battle.

00:43And we did that tonight.

00:44You know, where's it ranked when it's all said and done?

00:46I'm glad we got a W, right?

00:47And I'm already thinking about Minnesota because they've had a week off waiting for us.

00:50So we'll move to that one really quick.

00:54You mentioned guys that have kind of stepped up.

00:55I just wanted to get your thoughts on Jerry playing without Devin tonight.

00:59I think he's been a warrior for us all year.

01:08I think it's very clear that we trust him.

01:10He plays winning football.

01:11You know, I thought he did that tonight.

01:12We had a couple misfit issues early.

01:15And not necessarily Jerry, but just in general.

01:18They had a couple runs that they hit on us.

01:19And I thought our guys made great corrections on the sideline.

01:21And we were able to handle the run game.

01:23But there was never a doubt in their mind the way that they played.

01:26And I'm really proud of that.

01:29Let's just take a moment.
