The European Union must carefully consider Belgium’s concerns over using Russian frozen assets to support Ukraine, Dutch Finance Minister Eelco Heinen said. He emphasized that Ukraine remains under daily attack from Russia, making European support vital for the continent’s security. Heinen stressed the importance of listening to Belgian citizens and exploring ways to free up resources for Ukraine. Lithuanian Finance Minister Kristupas Vaitiekunas added that Ukraine urgently needs funding, recommending reparation loans and urging a decision by December.
