A senior Polish official has issued one of the clearest warnings yet about the direction of Ukraine peace talks. Speaking in Brussels as high-level negotiations continue in Berlin, Poland’s Secretary of State Marcin Bosacki said Ukraine must be “ready for difficult territorial decisions” as part of any potential truce with Russia.

Bosacki stressed that while Poland fully supports Ukraine, the reality of negotiations involves painful compromises — but also insisted that Russia cannot be rewarded for aggression and that Ukraine should not permanently lose sovereign territory.

The remarks come as US–Ukraine talks enter a critical phase, European leaders meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky, and discussions intensify around security guarantees, financing Ukraine’s war effort, and the role of frozen Russian assets.

Watch Bosacki’s full comments and hear how Poland, Europe, and the US are positioning themselves at a pivotal moment for Ukraine’s future.

00:00Good morning, good morning, good morning.
00:04Today we are going to talk about Rady Spraw Zagranicznych Unii Europejskiej,
00:08mainly three topics.
00:10Of course, the situation in Ukraine,
00:14Ukraine, which fought against the aggression of Russia,
00:17the perspective of the peace or peace.
00:21The second, the situation in the Blitzkrieg West,
00:23especially in the Strefie Gazze and in Syria.
00:26And the third, the discussion about the European Union to China.
00:32What is interesting, and not only interesting,
00:38is that we are connected with the representatives of the Spraw Rozmów Pokojowych
00:42both in the Blitzkrieg West, as well as in Ukraine,
00:44the President of the USA, Donald Trump,
00:46which is the President of Witkow and Kushner,
00:49and they will talk about the ministries of foreign affairs.
00:55It is important, because it shows that Amerykanie,
00:58who are not always having such a way,
01:01in this situation, want to talk to Europeans.
01:05Not only, as you know, as you know,
01:07today, personally, in Berlin,
01:10what is also very important,
01:12there will be the President of Donald Tusk,
01:14but also with the Red and the National Republic in Europe
01:19with the European Union,
01:21with the United States.
01:23The President of the United States,
01:25it is important to me,
01:27and today I represent Poland
01:28in the Rant of the Vice-Ministra.
01:30It is important,
01:31because it shows that Europe are in the discussions,
01:34and Europe is not only because Ukraine, but also because of the U.S.
01:40It is a strong and powerful.
01:43If it comes to a few europeans in Berlin,
01:46do you think it will be a new point that Europe will be now?
01:51Are you talking about these discussions?
01:56Yes, we are real.
01:59The broker of the U.S. are and will remain in the United States.
02:05Without the administration of Donald Trump,
02:09only Donald Trump and his team are able to
02:13help between Ukrainians and Russians.
02:16The U.S. are now talking about three things.
02:21First, the territory.
02:23The U.S. will be able to be prepared for the territory.
02:31We support the U.S. because the U.S. must be ready to be prepared for the territory.
02:42Our opinion is because the U.S. must not be able to be prepared for the territory,
02:52that they will be able to have a true territory.
02:54In the case, we will not be able to be prepared for the territory.
02:57in the territory of Russia.
02:59Secondly, there is a talk about
03:02financing Ukraine in the future.
03:05Today we will talk about it.
03:07We will talk about the European Union
03:09in the end of this week.
03:11There will be a decision in the future.
03:13We still believe that
03:15it should be a kind of
03:17a sort of a
03:19use of rosyjistic
03:21activity.
03:23But as we know,
03:25there are countries that are
03:27przeciw to see,
03:29we will see how it will be.
03:31But the financing
03:33for the next month,
03:35maybe the next month of Ukraine
03:37absolutely must be found.
03:39And as we know,
03:41we will see that the financing will be
03:43on the European Union.
03:45And finally,
03:47the third point
03:49that is the
03:51security of Ukraine.
03:53And here,
03:55from what we hear,
03:57the position of Ukraine
03:59from the United States,
04:01from the United States,
04:03of the United States,
04:05are more close.
04:07We will see good news,
04:09but they will be
04:11as soon as
04:13in this week,
04:15today in Berlin.
04:17If you can ask,
04:19what is the question?
04:21What is the question?
04:23What is the question?
04:25What is the question?
04:27I think that
04:29I think that
04:31after a half a year
04:33of the president,
04:35of the United States,
04:37of the United States,
04:39of the United States,
04:41of the United States,
04:43of the United States,
04:45the United States,
04:47of the United States,
04:49in the United States,
04:51that he has to come to the United States.
04:53He does not to do this.
04:55We are supported
04:57not only because of the moral support of the side, which was attacked in a brutal way by the agresyvist Russia,
05:07but also because of the interest of the political interest, or even mainly because of the interest of the political interest.
05:12If there was a son of Putin, which is a war or strategic attack of the Ukraine, Poland is at the same time in its own borders,
05:29apart from a few kilometers from Lithuania, from the perspective of countries that are in this or in a way,
05:39which are controlled by Russia, or controlled by Russia.
05:44To be an absolute strategic nightmare.
05:48If you don't get into the agreement in grudnia in terms of the reparation,
05:53then what do you think about?
05:54Because we have already talked about many months ago.
05:58Why would you say that?
06:00In grudnia must be found the financing for Ukraine in the near future.
06:08This is a thing that must just be implemented, because without that it will be difficult to imagine the next successful fight of Ukraine with Russia.
06:18In English, the reparations loan, we saw that statement circulated over the weekend signed by Bulgaria, Italy and Malta pushing the EU to explore other options for financing Ukraine.
06:29Are you worried that the support is wavering for the reparations loan for Ukraine?
06:34No, we don't. We think that the reparation loan should be used. Poland is in favor of it.
06:43But what is absolutely necessary is the securing the financing for the Ukrainian war effort for the next at least half a year, maybe a year.
06:53What needs to be done between now and the European Healthy Summit on Thursday to convince those England and the States to come along, particularly Belgium?
07:03There are many options possible.
07:05Let's put the trust in our diplomatic effort and our, I mean, European ones.
07:13Thank you very much.
07:59You
