00:00Let's say, for whatever reason, the Patriots decided to stick with Mayo
00:05and give him another chance and not fire him after year one.
00:10And Mike Vrabel goes to the New York Jets.
00:12How different does tonight's game look?
00:14How different does this season go?
00:17Can you imagine if it were Mike Vrabel coming here on Thursday Night Football
00:20with the New York Jets?
00:21It's a great question.
00:22I do believe that he would be the head coach of the Jets if this one wasn't available.
00:26Because it's a big market, and you've got an owner in Woody that's desperate.
00:30They would give money and control because they just don't know what to do.
00:34They're just taking shots at a board trying to make a dart stick right now.
00:40And, yeah, I mean, Mike is ready to get back into being a head coach.
00:44I spent a year as a consultant with Cleveland, and I'm ready to jump back in
00:47and get my own team.
00:49And the Jets were one of the openings there.
00:51But you look at it, you see, oh, they got Drake May.
00:53They got money to spend.
00:55I got a history there.
00:56Yeah, I'm going there.
00:58By the way, because I think it was Drake May.
01:01I don't think it was some connection to New England that landed him here with the Patriots.
01:05I don't think it was that.
01:06I think it was the situation that the Patriots were in versus the situation that the Jets
01:10were in.
01:10And looking at the two and saying, you know what?
01:13They have potentially a franchise quarterback and some cap space like you said.
01:16That's going to be a lot easier to mold into what I want versus what the new –
01:21I just think the situation in New England was better.
01:22I don't think it was a yearning to come back to New England because that's where I'm from
01:27and that's my – that was not it.
