00:00Previously, 10 complete strangers divided by their views.
00:13There's 80% of people coming in without a passport.
00:17Is this a situation now where people are just going to make up statistics?
00:21Faced questions designed to spark debate.
00:23Feelings are totally subjective.
00:25Feelings when it comes to race.
00:27You're probably my biggest enemy at this table.
00:30That's perfect.
00:32You have decided that Dermot will be leaving the conversation.
00:35Oh God, where is this going to lead?
00:38I'm well able to handle confrontation.
00:40That's not the scene! What the hell?
00:42No one is listening to the other.
00:44If I was to put a head at the table at the minute, I'm just going to go with Andy.
00:48Why on earth are we going to go with the straight white man?
00:51I'll be your leader.
00:53Andy, choose someone to leave the conversation.
00:57I think you speak more than most people.
00:59So, I'll choose Izzy to go.
01:02Quite a few people were upset that Izzy left.
01:05You tell me what you want me to do.
01:06Just turn, not a human. Just have a heart.
01:08Anyone.
01:08That's a politician.
01:09I'm dictated.
01:10Oh...
01:11Are you serious?
01:12I am not happy.
01:13Why might that be?
01:14Because our lovely Stephen decided that he wants to contribute to Conor McGregor's pocket.
01:19I will blow for you eventually.
01:21Something's got a hold of me lately.
01:35Though I don't know myself anymore.
01:39This is our final dinner, and once we go out there, we can be blocked.
01:43There's nothing that we have to face after this, so people may be going in and ready to
01:48throw hands.
01:48And there could be twists and tricks we don't know.
01:50Out of my mind, how many times did I tell you?
01:54I think with this being the last dinner, it does put into perspective that this is the
01:59last opportunity for you to get your point across.
02:02So, maybe I'll grow a pair of balls tonight and actually say what I want.
02:15So, the last supper?
02:18I feel like some people are holding away a bit back, but I feel like tonight's gonna be it.
02:22Natasha, she wasn't happy with Stephen.
02:24I feel like it wasn't finished.
02:26I feel like there's still more to be said.
02:27I just don't know what is going to be said.
02:30Some people are playing it a little bit safe, but we're at a level of comfort now that's
02:34almost dangerous.
02:35Yeah.
02:36Now that we don't have to see them tomorrow, is people gonna expose their true colours?
02:40I wonder now.
02:41It's kind of the unexpected with tonight.
02:46I know the tension is definitely bubbling.
02:49It started yesterday, and I think there could be a few more fireworks today.
02:52Sneezing and teasing, I'm sitting on it.
02:54All of my diamonds are dripping on it.
02:56I just hope everybody speaks with their chest tonight.
02:59And anything that you've been feeling or anything that you feel like you weren't real
03:02on during the week, bring it up now.
03:04Get it out.
03:05Whether we can leave the table tonight as friends remains to be seen.
03:08I think there's still a few dark horses there.
03:10Ben is still holding back.
03:13Even Amy.
03:14You know what I mean?
03:15I don't know a lot about Amy yet.
03:16So maybe she's playing me close to her heart so she can break mine.
03:20Hi there.
03:21Greetings.
03:22Hello, hello, hello.
03:23Fancy seeing you guys here.
03:24Amy and I were just saying that maybe yesterday we could see that some people were not giving
03:28their full to the table and you could kind of maybe see a bit of discomfort in them with
03:32some questions that were asked, but they didn't say anything.
03:34They just let it slide by.
03:35So hopefully.
03:36Stephen.
03:37I'm going to be honest.
03:38Like, I think Ben is like a robot.
03:39Yeah.
03:40I don't trust Ben.
03:41Even though I have my differences with Stephen and Tyam, I don't think it's personal between
03:46them.
03:47Whereas with Ben, I just think he's always looking to gain something from a conversation.
03:51And I think Stephen is going to be the one to let loose.
03:54Hey.
03:55How did you feel after the dinner last night?
03:59Um, I definitely have an unresolved issue with Stephen in regards to his support of Conor
04:06McGregor.
04:07I am going to try not to go in with the fire I feel.
04:16I know I won't get anywhere if I'm just shouting at him and that's what I want to do.
04:20I just want to scream at him and kick him off the table.
04:26Natasha, you can really see why she's so passionate and sometimes she jumps in before she thinks
04:31because she's coming from a wounded place.
04:34My attitude at this point is it's the last night I'm kind of tempted to say screw it
04:39and just start blurting things out left, right and center.
04:42Stop talking about them.
04:44We were just talking about you.
04:47Hi guys.
04:48Ben, you're just saying that you might have a plan.
04:50You might be a bit calculated.
04:52Andy and I are just different people.
04:54He doesn't see us being friends outside of this show.
04:57I don't see that either and that's okay.
05:00I'll say just for the sake of bluntness and clarity, like I feel like there's probably
05:09a couple of controversial issues that we didn't fully get into and I'd like to get
05:13into them tonight.
05:14Steven, he has just crossed some lines that if you cross those lines, I do not respect
05:21you as a human.
05:22I suppose we'll see how it goes then.
05:25Natasha started off yesterday by attacking me about going to a certain premises but today
05:33I'm a little bit more prepared for it because I'm sure she'll bring it up again.
05:36Firstly, she didn't let me even finish the story.
05:40Secondly, it's none of her business where I go.
05:47From day one, I haven't shied away from any conversation that people got upset about or
05:52they differed in my views.
05:53My views are my views.
05:55They're backed by my logic, they're backed by life experience and I'd like to think they're
05:58backed by divine wisdom so I'm not afraid to tell things as it is and I do understand
06:03how the truth will offend some people and it is what it is.
06:06Hi guys.
06:07Hello.
06:08Hi guys.
06:09The best has arrived.
06:10Excellent.
06:11Why should I hold back?
06:14You know, I have fought long and hard to be here.
06:17I've fought hard to be myself and I'm not going to compromise myself for anyone.
06:22It's the final day so if there's anything in there, you know what I mean?
06:25If it's ever going to be said it has to be tonight.
06:27100%.
06:28Natasha, I think she's using this to get headlines to further her career outside of
06:33this.
06:34But, yeah, it's not my show.
06:40I'm just like a nobody really compared to you guys.
06:42Do you know what I mean?
06:43I'm just a mother and worker and that's it.
06:45That's where I go.
06:46You're real.
06:47Well, I think you're real anyway.
06:48I am.
06:49There's a little dark hot in there.
06:50Why would you think I'm not?
06:51I'm asking you.
06:52I'm telling you.
06:53Really?
06:54Put me on a lie detector.
06:55Honest to God.
06:56Tell me the truth.
06:57Yes.
06:58Are you being real with me?
06:59Look at me eyes.
07:00I have been real with you.
07:01You've watched my porn?
07:02Yes, I have.
07:03Okay.
07:04I believe her.
07:05I believe her.
07:06This has to be a dream.
07:07There's no way this is real.
07:08Another one where you're kind of like swinging.
07:09Oh, yeah.
07:10You've seen that one?
07:11See, there you are.
07:12I believe you.
07:13She's telling the truth.
07:14She's being real.
07:15You're one of the good ones.
07:16And then the peeing in a cup thing.
07:17You didn't like that?
07:18Well, it's a bit...
07:20He peed in a cup.
07:21I haven't a breeze and I don't want to know.
07:22He peed in a cup.
07:23Who'd want to see that?
07:24This evening the only thing I want is a hug from a porn star.
07:27I'd like to say my whole life I would like to have had a hug from a porn star.
07:31But definitely this week I definitely want that.
07:34I want to check Amy.
07:36Yeah.
07:37I said it as we were walking into the room and you hadn't even spoken yet and I knew.
07:40Knew what?
07:41Yous were going to be a thing.
07:42Nah, what if it's only friendly flirting?
07:43No, I don't think so.
07:44No?
07:45No.
07:46Okay.
07:47What we're hoping for in this very short window is that we push people towards having
07:53very real, very authentic conversations.
07:57To show them that, yes, we should have the difficult conversations and discourse, whether
08:02you agree with someone or not, it's so vitally important for healthy individuals.
08:06To see somebody perhaps even assume a position of self-reflection or even analyzing something
08:12that they came into the room with feeling very, very strongly about at the beginning would be really fascinating.
08:18Good evening, everyone.
08:19Good evening.
08:20And welcome to your final night of dinner with the enemy.
08:23Woohoo!
08:24At the beginning of the week, you started out as perceived enemies.
08:28Now you've had this lovely shared experience together.
08:31However, will that be enough to bridge your divides?
08:35We have heard a lot of discussion and debate over the last week and we've seen that, at times, you've actually managed to listen to each other.
08:45So this evening, we want you to make sure that you leave nothing unsaid at the table.
08:51You came in here to share your views and to have your voices heard.
08:54So we're asking you, we're inviting you this evening to say what you feel, not what you think you should say.
09:01Yeah.
09:02So diners, enjoy your final meal.
09:08We won't see you tomorrow.
09:09So we might as well get it all out tonight.
09:11Absolutely.
09:12For our final dinner, they get to choose their own seats.
09:21I'm fascinated to see who sits beside who.
09:24Where are we sitting today?
09:39No name tags, I guess it's all a free-for-all, I guess.
09:44I liked tonight's seat arrangement.
09:46I think everybody really just, like, showed who they kind of became closest to.
09:51Like, the lads all kind of stayed to themselves.
09:54Amy and Andy sat beside each other, we literally called on the first day.
09:58They didn't even have to speak a word to each other.
10:00I was just, like, used to look like a good couple.
10:02I know yous are going to be attracted to each other.
10:04Some people will struggle more than others with this.
10:06For some people, especially if you feel on the outside,
10:08it might be actually more difficult to not be told where to sit.
10:13I feel like there's a little bit of dirty laundry to air, which I will be airing.
10:17Hello, Stephen.
10:18You mentioned yesterday that you had attended Conor McGregor's pub.
10:22You said it was for a business meeting.
10:24I think the fact that Stephen didn't react to this last night,
10:26it's been simmering away in Natasha, hasn't it?
10:28Mm-hm.
10:29And she really wants to have this heard.
10:30I took the stance yesterday that I didn't answer you back at the table,
10:33and that was for the good of the table.
10:34Yeah, I was really feeling of it because I did.
10:36But after thinking about it last night, I thought to myself,
10:38do you know what, I'm too long a cat to be booked by a kitten.
10:41Wow, I think Stephen's getting a little angry now.
10:43Yeah.
10:44At the end of the day, I've been in there before.
10:45I just don't understand why.
10:46I'm asking you why.
10:47I know the other people in there.
10:48I was in to have a business meeting, okay?
10:49That was me.
10:50Why couldn't you have gone somewhere else?
10:51Hold on a second.
10:52I was looking forward to Natasha bringing it up to Stephen about everything,
10:56but I didn't like really how she went in on him.
11:00I was kind of like, being like, Natasha, relax, let him get her word in.
11:04First of all, if anyone knows me, I'm 42 years of age, I have five kids,
11:09I have achieved stuff that I'm very, very proud of.
11:12Anyone that knows me knows that I don't condone any type of violence towards women.
11:17You're saying one thing and doing another, Stephen.
11:19If you were really tired about it, you would go to another business.
11:22I went to another business afterwards.
11:24When I conducted my business, I was gone.
11:26I think Natasha needs to relax.
11:28The chap went and had a work meeting there.
11:30Like, calm down.
11:31It's not as if he's, like, putting money directly into McGregor's pocket.
11:36It just really upset me because I really did appreciate you
11:39when you came in and said that you do your best to hold your friends accountable.
11:43And then to hear that from you, that was like, what the hell?
11:45I told the truth.
11:46I didn't have to tell you.
11:47I only had done it as a private conversation.
11:49It's getting kind of heated here, isn't it?
11:51It really is.
11:52Actually, people are staying quiet and not getting into the conversation.
11:55I can understand why I got really upset.
11:57You've made a bigger deal of it than it did.
11:58I think it would be normal for me to have an extreme reaction
12:00to someone going into his pub.
12:01I thought Natasha was very unfair in targeting Stephen
12:04for him going to the Black Forge
12:06and trying to label him as somebody that supports those acts.
12:09At the end of the day, he's a father.
12:10He's got children.
12:11And I'm pretty sure any father that has love for their children
12:14will not support such things.
12:15From the minute I got in here, you have hint picked exactly every time...
12:19Because the minute you got in here,
12:20you said you'd be disappointed in your child if they were gay.
12:23So you've been...
12:25And that disappointed me.
12:26What?
12:27I didn't.
12:28The minute he got in here, he said if he found out his child was gay,
12:29he'd be disappointed.
12:30I said, as a father, you'd be naturally disappointed.
12:32There's more context to it.
12:33There's more context to this.
12:34And you're very good.
12:35You're very good at virtue signaling, Natasha, let me just tell you.
12:37You're very good at taking stuff out of context
12:39like you did me going into Black Forge.
12:41You're very good at it.
12:42You love the headline.
12:43You're waiting for the headline.
12:45A hundred percent.
12:46It is a question, Stephen.
12:47Would you go again?
12:48What I said...
12:49After hearing Natasha's point...
12:50Tell her the context of what I said.
12:52No, no.
12:53Would you go into the pub again after this conversation?
12:55At the end of the day...
12:56It's just broken my heart because, like, I did respect you a lot.
12:59No, actually, I don't particularly think you did.
13:01The system's failed so many families.
13:03It's failed you.
13:04It's failed me.
13:05There's no good people who take drugs.
13:06They're all scumbags.
13:07That's not true.
13:08Pain is pain.
13:09My whole life has fallen apart because I fell in love with the wrong person.
13:20The next thing I know, I'm in handcuffs.
13:22That's when I realized he was a con at that point.
13:25And I know a hundred percent those are packages of drugs.
13:28There was no way they were gonna let me go.
13:30This is where I was gonna die.
13:32I don't know, Dad.
13:37I've just been away from it for too long.
13:39You'll be grand, love.
13:41Now, on your bike.
13:57Just like our mammy.

14:08Thanks, Anto.
14:10He did some job, Dad Anto.
14:12I don't know what it was, but broadband is only bangin'.
14:16He does it with the router?
14:18Ugh!
14:19Lovely young fella.
14:20Whatever this yoke is be plugged in, the signal is unreal, boy.

15:11You've around 29,000 days.
15:12So don't live in the someday.
15:13Because life isn't measured in years.
15:14But in moments.
15:15At AIB, we're here to help you get those moments.
15:17So go after everyone.
15:22AIB.

15:56Oh, can I have a coffee?
15:58Coffee? I do more than coffee.
16:00I do delicious Starbucks coffee.
16:02Shall we?
16:03It smells so good your nose will go...
16:06It's so rich and smooth your palate will just...
16:10It's more than coffee.
16:13It's Starbucks by Nespresso.

16:57And serve up something special with our finest whole leg of lamb.
17:02Tesco, helping feed your Christmas spirit.
17:10Would you go into the pub again after this conversation?
17:13At the end of the day...
17:14It's just broken my heart because like I did respect you a lot.
17:17No, actually I don't particularly think you did.
17:19I don't gel with you, I can say that.
17:21But there are lots of things about you that I do respect.
17:23I respected that you came in here and you were so honest and open.
17:26And I did not like...
17:27He did open it, just want to say right.
17:29When he did say the gay comment right.
17:32We did delve into that and he did open his mind and his heart from that.
17:36The reason why I just had this immediate negative response to you was because my own mom was disappointed in me when I came out to her.
17:43Yeah.
17:44So it was personal, it just felt personal.
17:46Just for context, Dale.
17:47I know I got that but I just want to hear, would you still go back into the pub after this conversation?
17:52If the meeting was there, yes I would.
17:55I just don't think Stephen really listened to me or heard me when I was confronting him about Conor McGregor.
18:01I think he didn't want to hear it.
18:05She's coming from where she thinks is a very good place.
18:08She just has slightly different views to me on certain things.
18:11I think she does crave a little bit of attention.
18:14I think if she thinks she shouts the loudest that people are going to listen to her.
18:18That is not my style.
18:20In fact, it really crates on me.
18:22As I said earlier, empty vessels make the loudest noise.
18:25People have painted over his, you know, murals of him, you know?
18:29And that's why it really, really triggered a visceral response in me when I heard that you walked in there.
18:34Yeah, but the way you said it...
18:35I know because I was just furious, I was up, I just heard it.
18:38It was like I was standing stand by side with...
18:41I know because if you stand in his business, you are standing by his side.
18:45It's a strong accusation.
18:47I just think it's a strong accusation to make towards somebody.
18:49I do understand the sensitivity of the situation.
18:52It's just highly sensitive for me.
18:53I can't help you feel triggered, Stephen.
18:55I'm not trying to come at you, I'm trying to understand why.
18:57Again, from a male...
18:58Yeah, sorry, just to kind of help out.
19:00Again, from a male perspective, you know, the traumas that women go through,
19:03we don't fully understand that.
19:05And that's something you guys have to empathise with us a little bit on.
19:07Pain is pain.
19:08No, I get that.
19:09I know, and in that situation, it's a big thing.
19:11But in his case...
19:12He's empathise with you.
19:13No, in his case...
19:14I would have really loved for you to have said, after hearing Natasha speak...
19:18You know what, I'll think twice the next time.
19:20And there's enough pubs in Dublin.
19:22I'm a mother of two sons,
19:24and I'm concerned that people like Conor McGregor right here in Ireland
19:28have huge power to influence young men.
19:32But I was really hoping that Stephen, through the passionate engagement that we all had,
19:39that he would say, you know what, next time I'll think twice.
19:43Can I finish off the context?
19:45I was asked, as a father, would you be disappointed?
19:48Right?
19:49And I was talking primally.
19:51I'd finish it off by saying, I'd never project that.
19:54And I know that there's...
19:55And Stephen, you can say all that you like that you will not project that,
19:57but your child will know that.
19:58I will always, always support my kids, no matter what they do.
20:02If they told me that they were unicorns, I would say, what type of saddle do you want?
20:06Get a light relief with some humour.
20:09Unexpected.
20:10The group needed it.
20:11It's like a little valve release.
20:12One day my kids are going to have to come up to me as being straight.
20:15One day they might tell me that they want to be capitalist, Catholic bankers.
20:20What do I do then?
20:22I was like, but not.
20:24I don't think she's leaving with any secret animosity towards Stephen.
20:27I think also he probably has learned that he needs to just be more mindful
20:31because of how it looks and how he can be perceived very easily.
20:34Like if someone catches you in a place and you preach about something else,
20:37but then you're automatically tied to it as much as you may not be.
20:42What drugs should be legal, if any?
20:46Go.
20:47No, none.
20:48No explicit drugs.
20:50And especially weed.
20:51I don't care what you say.
20:52It makes people tick a shit.
20:54Say what you want.
20:55I don't care.
20:56It makes people stupid.
20:57Andy has really strong views on this.
20:59You can even feel the emotion.
21:00Yeah.
21:01What about the reality that people do take drugs?
21:03People do take drugs.
21:04And how do we support those people if we're just criminalising them?
21:07No.
21:08How do we give those people support that they do?
21:10No, listen, listen.
21:11People take drugs.
21:12I have no sympathy for them.
21:13And I'll tell you why.
21:14Drug users and drug takers have ruined my life.
21:17And I don't have any sympathy for them because they say they want help.
21:20They don't.
21:21If you're taking drugs, you don't want help.
21:23You can stop taking drugs.
21:24You can seek help.
21:25And those people who are seeking help, definitely they should be helped.
21:28I don't feel like drugs should be legal.
21:29It's easier to reach to your phone and call a dealer than it is to reach to a therapist.
21:34And I'm passionate about more so not focusing on legalising drugs but to push out more mental health services and also addiction services to actually get to the root of the problem instead of just hitting the surface.
21:46I think the biggest issue in Ireland right now is that young kids, like, drugs are socially acceptable.
21:50Yeah.
21:51Personally, for me, the drug that opens that door is alcohol.
21:55It is.
21:56That's what opens that door for people to do all those things.
21:58And I'm more strong on this opinion.
22:00I don't care what people say.
22:01Oh, but I need drink to let me relax or it helps me to escape other problems.
22:05But that's your problem.
22:07That's the problem there.
22:08I have a great relationship with alcohol.
22:10Yes, there is a culture in Ireland where it's maybe a little bit too heavily depended on.
22:16But it's my drug.
22:19OK?
22:20And have I used it to excess on occasions?
22:24Of course I have.
22:25Would I like to go out and have a night out without alcohol?
22:28I would.
22:29But I've tried it a few times and I've just wanted to run out of the pub.
22:33It's just not the same.
22:35I've never drank a drop of alcohol.
22:37I've never touched a drug in my entire life and I never will.
22:39I hate drugs for addiction reasons in my family and all of that.
22:42But with that said, I do believe that there are people who genuinely with all their heart
22:48hate that they're on drugs.
22:50Yeah, absolutely.
22:51They're there sobbing, crying in confession because they relapsed again.
22:55And they'd love nothing more than to press a button and just be clean of this thing.
22:58I believe that that's a real thing.
23:00It's a mental health issue.
23:01I was certainly surprised on the drugs issue because Andy does have a very kind of
23:06libertarian way about him, I think, in many ways.
23:09He's obviously all about the sex industry and he doesn't see anything wrong with
23:14living your life in various alternative ways as long as you're not hurting anybody.
23:20So then to hear him say, no, I don't care if a person wants to take drugs.
23:26It shouldn't be allowed.
23:27It's absolutely off the table was a very different stance to the one that I thought he would take.
23:34I have the prime example.
23:35So my mom is exactly your example.
23:36My uncle David that passed is exactly your example.
23:39You can see with this topic how many of the diners have been touched by addiction, by drugs,
23:45and the impact it's had on their lives.
23:47It's very prevalent around the table.
23:48Yeah.
23:49My mom, I've never called her mom.
23:50I'm just calling her mom because that's like what you say in society.
23:52Like, she was taking drugs from before I was born, like, Seshma, you could say,
23:59and then just like after I was born, heavy.
24:01She went to prison like when I was a year old for actually smuggling drugs into the UK.
24:05Did she take drugs while she was carrying you?
24:07Um, I don't know.
24:09From stories from other people, apparently so.
24:11I came out, okay, a little bit tough, but I don't know.
24:15I watched drugs ruin the best people.
24:19Oh, so well, yeah.
24:20You know, and then we can say mental health and stuff like that,
24:22but we all have a choice.
24:23You don't take heroin.
24:25You just don't take drugs because you know it's bad.
24:27No excuse.
24:28Like, there's no excuse for drugs.
24:29There's no compassion.
24:30You have to have compassion for people.
24:32I don't have compassion for people.
24:34People who take drugs are scumbags.
24:36I totally understand his condemning of drugs, you know,
24:39but harm reduction is the most important thing for society,
24:43and he can't paint everyone with the same brush.
24:46There's no good people who take drugs.
24:48They're all scumbags.
24:49That's not true.
24:50It is true.
24:51That's not true.
24:52They don't care about their family.
24:53They don't care about their friends.
24:54I know it's sensitive for you, but it's sensitive for me as well,
24:56and we both come from a very similar background.
24:58So let me say my piece, please.
25:00Right?
25:01So one side of it, my ma.
25:03David was the other side of it.
25:05Very wholesome.
25:06Very hippie vibe.
25:07Psychedelics.
25:08Went to Peru.
25:09Done ayahuasca.
25:10He was the sunrise swimmer.
25:11Person that organised them out in Port Marnock Beach.
25:13The moonstocks.
25:15The yoga.
25:16The pilates.
25:17He'd done all that.
25:18And I don't know.
25:19After COVID, he kind of slipped into a hole.
25:21Couldn't get his business off the ground.
25:22Couldn't get investors.
25:24Was disheartened by everything.
25:25Felt like he made a failure of everything.
25:26He was like, well, people are microdosing ketamine.
25:28I'm depressed.
25:29I feel like I might need this.
25:30He took the microdosing into his own hand,
25:32which is another thing a lot of people are doing,
25:34is microdosing and taking it into their hand.
25:36I'm not saying he's a bad person.
25:37You said they're all bad people.
25:38No, I said...
25:39You did.
25:40I think Andy just really stuck a needle in me.
25:43Like, obviously, he's not talking directly to me
25:45or about anyone in my family.
25:47But when he says, like, everyone,
25:49there's not, like, a good soul that takes drugs.
25:51Nobody.
25:52They're all this.
25:53They're all that.
25:54And I was like, David wasn't.
25:57Well, I didn't mean it like that.
25:58I mean, right, listen.
25:59No, but let me say something.
26:00I want you to take something from this experience, right?
26:02And it's think of what you say before you speak.
26:04Because you don't know, you also said,
26:05I don't care about Palestine.
26:06It doesn't affect me.
26:07Think of...
26:08Okay, okay.
26:09I'm taking in.
26:10I'm taking in, right?
26:11I'm taking in.
26:12Obviously, you're passionate.
26:13Yeah, I didn't...
26:14I didn't mean...
26:15What I'm saying is drugs turn people into bad people.
26:18No, I feel like...
26:19I feel like drugs amplify a person that's already bad.
26:21I feel like if you're a good person...
26:23I agree.
26:24You'll never be a bad person on drugs.
26:25I've seen so many good people that were good people.
26:27Just suffer.
26:28They never change from the amount of drugs they took.
26:29They never changed into a bad person.
26:31I feel like that's really complex that...
26:33It is complex because...
26:34It is complex because when people are good people
26:37and they get hooked by this drug, whatever drug it is,
26:39they get hooked by it.
26:40They will do anything for that drug.
26:42My friend was taking drugs every day for three months
26:44and I didn't even know.
26:45You know what I mean?
26:46And that person is a dirtbag.
26:48Turned into a dirtbag or was a dirtbag?
26:50No, he was a great...
26:51He was like my friend.
26:52And now we don't talk.
26:53There's no excuse because we had the same life.
26:55He made his decision.
26:57My views on drugs, it's very similar to Andy's view.
27:00That I have no sympathy towards drug users, junkies,
27:04whatever you want to call them.
27:05It's not a case that you, you know, fall to peer pressure.
27:09And even if you do, even if you are taking drugs to escape your reality
27:14and get temporary peace, or you're going out and partying and taking a drug,
27:18it all boils down to the one thing.
27:20It's a choice.
27:21I was there for him.
27:23My whole family was there for him, and he kept turning his back.
27:26You know, and he was.
27:27He was a great person.
27:28But now he's a scumbag.
27:29See, every single point, 100%, I relate to you on that.
27:32But then I see the other side to it.
27:33David was a pure soul.
27:34He spent his whole life trying to save his sister.
27:37What family knows how to handle an addict in their family?
27:40It's literally impossible.
27:41And I don't think the rehabilitation in this country is anything
27:45that's going to help anyone to heal or to get any part of their inner self.
27:50back.
27:51They're cold.
27:52They're dull.
27:53They're dark.
27:54The food is shit.
27:56They're not treated with love.
27:57David wanted to get clean.
27:59He went into somewhere to get support.
28:03These places are fucking disgusting.
28:05Yeah.
28:06Sorry, I just feel like the system's failed so many families.
28:10It's failed you.
28:11It's failed me.
28:12It's failed so many of us.
28:14Look, I don't like to upset anyone.
28:16You know, like, I am brutally honest.
28:18People can be the nicest people ever, but when they take drugs,
28:21it takes over their life and they become selfish gunbags.
28:24It's just very personal.
28:27I didn't stop wetting the bed till I was, like, 15.
28:31That's the effects that being around drug abuse has on kids.
28:35And I'm just thinking of how many kids are in the country.
28:38Sorry.
28:40How many kids are in the country dealing with that right now?
28:43And I didn't mean to come off rude across.
28:46No, no, you weren't.
28:47You're getting your point though, and I appreciate it.
28:48I just think there's no support at all.
28:50Like, even watching my nanny struggle with my mom for so many years.
28:56And then the attention going to David, and I was like,
28:58oh, not you too.
28:59Like...
29:01I don't think anything's going to change unless the government changes,
29:03and the government is never going to change.
29:05So things are just going to stay the same, realistically.
29:11Yeah, but you probably think like that because you came from one.
29:14Am I going to give it away?
29:15No.
29:16I'd love to be a billionaire, like...
29:17Oh, here we go. Something's happening.
29:18What the hell is this?
29:20When I saw that box, my heart sank.
29:35Oh, here we go.

32:49He does it with the router?

33:15Thanks!
33:16There's nothing quite like a delivery.
33:17You in?
33:18We have a new question on the tablet.
33:19How much money is enough money?
33:20Oh here we go.
33:21It's not just to say I want millions or whatever, but there's a number that I feel I'd live comfortable and it's enough for me.
33:22Anything excess I tend to give away most times.
33:23You do when you're a nurse.
33:24No.
33:25No I genuinely do.
33:26So this is honestly the reason the
33:48I tend to give away most times.
33:50You do when you're a nurse.
33:51No, I genuinely do.
33:53So, and this is an honest thing about me,
33:54like the most expensive thing I've bought myself in the last year
33:58is a suit that I bought from Tiffany, which is like 500 quid.
34:02Right, so I tend to not spend my money.
34:04I tend to give it to people.
34:05So I do have a number where it's just uncomfortable
34:07and I can pay for things and I can afford...
34:09Can we get out of the number?
34:11Yeah, 80 grand a year is my number.
34:13That's a good number.
34:14From that, I'm good because it just gives...
34:15And it gives that because that gives you comfort.
34:17Because that pays for my bills and then I've extra...
34:19Which is like comfort, security.
34:20Yeah, I've extra...
34:21Which enables happiness.
34:22You would not accept any further than that.
34:24Like I do get further, so look, NDA, I'm not going to go into it, but...
34:29Realistically, there's not many people that's making that a year.
34:32Yeah.
34:32True, very true.
34:34So like, that's more than comfort.
34:37I come from poverty, so at a certain level, it changes my life.
34:41Some people doubt it because, you know,
34:43they look at it from their own experience that they think that,
34:46Yeah, when you want more, you'll always want more.
34:48But I'm different.
34:49My life is different than most people at the table.
34:54As long as I have enough that the kids are happy,
34:56they get treated to a nice childhood and they're getting older
35:00and if they want to go to college and everything like that,
35:03and my bills are paid, after that is an absolute bonus.
35:06Am I going to give it away?
35:07No.
35:07I'll give it a little bit to charity.
35:09I do charity runs.
35:10Yeah.
35:10In that respect.
35:12But I know for a fact, when you have five kids,
35:14you don't get a chance to save money.
35:16I have a very, like, Kim K mindset when it comes to money, so...
35:19Which is?
35:20I'd love to be a billionaire, like...
35:23Yeah, look, I'm the same.
35:24I'd love to have my own playing called Sophia.
35:26I know it's very superficial, but, like, my family's had such a traumatic life
35:30and, like, I watch my nanny and her excitement every day
35:33when my PR is coming through the door,
35:34when I take her to these fancy events, like,
35:37she's living la vida loca.
35:38And I always say to myself,
35:39the day I can buy my nanny a Birkin
35:41and she doesn't have to buy a bag every few months
35:44that goes meldy on her, do you know that way?
35:46Like, she deserves it. She's had too much of a hard life.
35:50Like, I just feel like la dolce vita, you know?
35:53Absolutely.
35:54Genuinely, as I said, I came from a lot of wealth.
35:57My parents were very wealthy.
35:58And when I was growing up, I always wished we were, like,
36:01the poor relatives.
36:02Because our poor relatives, they had smaller houses,
36:05they didn't have staff, they didn't have intercom systems
36:08that you called the cook to order your breakfast.
36:10That was my life growing up.
36:12But we never spoke to each other, you know?
36:14So sometimes I think money actually gets in the way.
36:16I really resonate with Dil on her, you know, views on money.
36:23I hate that we live in such a materialistic world.
36:27And I'm not saying I'm not a material girl.
36:29Like, I do buy into that.
36:31Of course I do, because that's the world I live in.
36:33But I wish that I could just go off and live on a commune
36:37and live by the land with a big community.
36:39Like, I'd love to do that. That would be my dream.
36:41Yeah, but you probably think like that
36:43because you came from money.
36:44So other people won't experience it first
36:47and then say that.
36:48I get it. I get it.
36:50No, I get it. I get it.
36:52Let us try that.
36:53Oh, Jacob, Jacob, Jacob.
36:54What about you?
36:56Eh, look, I'd say, look,
36:58definitely I'd love, eh, probably...
37:00Give a figure.
37:01Yeah, 60 to 80 would be great.
37:03At the end of the year, like, that would be fucking class.
37:04That's very humble.
37:04Because, look, at the end of the day,
37:06if I could just afford surgeries
37:08and, as you said, give back to my family
37:09because they gave me so much of their money.
37:11My dad especially worked, like,
37:12his back off to provide for our family.
37:14If I could give back to them
37:15and make sure that I'm comfortable
37:16for the rest of my life
37:17and I can afford surgeries and even,
37:18if I, you know, keep giving in to what I need in life,
37:21then I'd be happy.
37:22Like, it doesn't take a lot to make me happy.
37:24Not all.
37:25I always say I get 2,000 every two weeks into my hand
37:29and I always say I wish I was getting that weekly.
37:31So, yeah, 2 grand a week.
37:34OK, I'd like 10 million a year.
37:35I'd like 10 million a week.
37:37No, I'm, like, absolutely broke at the moment
37:40because I was on illness benefit
37:42when I got really sick two years ago after the attack
37:45and then my court case happened 12 months ago
37:48and so the last 12 months
37:50I have literally been living on
37:53two, three hundred a month
37:55because I've been lucky enough
37:57to be back at my mother's house
37:59the last year or two
38:01but, like, it's been hard
38:02but I'm so happy.
38:05I feel so rewarded.
38:06I've been able to qualify for a medical card
38:08because I'm not making real money.
38:11Like, you know, it probably would be nice
38:12to be able to afford a holiday every now and again
38:14because I really can't, like,
38:15but, like, money just isn't on my radar.
38:19If there was money in activism
38:21we would have world peace already
38:22and Greta Thunberg would be Elon Musk.
38:25You know what I mean?
38:26Like, it was surprising when Natasha said
38:28how little money she's getting by on.
38:30When somebody is on television
38:32or if they're well-known
38:33I think there's an assumption
38:34that, oh, they must be getting good money
38:36but you don't realise
38:38that somebody could be incredibly influential
38:40moving the needle
38:41on various major political issues
38:44and also not be doing terribly well financially.
38:48Money just isn't something I really care about.
38:50There we go, something's happening.
38:51What the hell is this?
38:53This is a twist.
38:54A box.
38:56When I saw that box my heart sank.
38:58We were all terrified.
38:59I was just hoping Dermot wouldn't pop out
39:01but it was a bit too small for Dermot so
39:03I didn't really know what was going on to be honest.
39:07Good evening, diners.
39:12Good evening.
39:13You're probably all wondering what's in this box.
39:17Inside is a considerable amount of money.
39:20You will now have ten minutes
39:22to decide how you'd like to split it
39:24but only five of you can walk away with a share
39:29and you must unanimously decide
39:31how you're going to split that money
39:33between the chosen five
39:34using these cards.
39:38Oh my God.
39:45We will start the clock shortly.
39:48If you can't as a group reach consensus in ten minutes
39:51you all walk away empty-handed.
39:57We'll be back when your time's up.
40:00But look.
40:00This is mad.
40:02We all know what it's like
40:04to live in a polarised, divided society.
40:07The motivation for the money experiment
40:09is to see if our group has found some cohesion.
40:13Can they come together to make a decision
40:15or are they willing to lose it all
40:16because they can't agree?
40:18I knew we would see the real people now then.
40:22People said money wasn't important to them
40:23and I knew that we would see
40:25if they're being real or not.
40:32Now choose between you.
40:33I don't think it should be like
40:34because Ben has a child.
40:36Thayam's been trying to speak this whole time.
40:38But really please, we don't have time.
40:39I feel disgusting.
40:41Like I feel so bad.
40:48Oh, can I have a coffee?
40:51Coffee?
40:52I do more than coffee.
40:53I do delicious Starbucks coffee.
40:55Shall we?
40:56It smells so good your nose will go...
40:59It's so rich and smooth your palate will just...
41:04It's more than coffee.
41:06It's Starbucks by Nespresso.
41:08If you love amazing Christmas value,
41:13you'll love this festive frozen party food selection.
41:16This amazing low price on Budweiser
41:19and these delicious festive biscuits.
41:22Go on, treat yourself, your friends and your family.
41:25If you love Christmas, you'll love Aldi.
41:27We carry those off long before the day breaks
41:33who make our lives better, whatever it takes.
41:36And for those who need some extra assistance,
41:39we'll get you on board and we'll go the distance.
41:42With new electric vehicles, quiet and cleaner,
41:46our growing TFI network helps keep Ireland greener
41:50for the days of your life and the big nights out too.
41:55We're Transport for Ireland.
41:56We're Transport for you.
42:00Will you tell me a story, Granddad?
42:02Stories? I'm not good at those.
42:04A story?
42:05In Brussels today?
42:07Granddad!
42:09Okay.
42:15That should get me a bit of peace and quiet over the Christmas.
42:26Once upon a time.
42:31Granny's coming!
42:32She is!
42:33She's in a taxi.
42:37Alan!
42:38She's in the airport.
42:42She's in the air.
42:43It's a long way.
42:45She'll be here in the morning.
42:45We trace and we check with 38 quality checks on the journey
42:52from our farmers to your family.
42:55Having more milk.
42:56Make every day this good.
42:59Hmm, how to prevent lime scale build-up in a washing machine.
43:02Vinegar, bicarb, washing detergent.
43:04Really?
43:05Instead, just add Cowgon 4-in-1 gel to every wash.
43:08Compared to vinegar, when Cowgon gel is added to hard water,
43:10it removes more lime scale, up to 95%.
43:13Preventing lime scale build-up in your machine.
43:15Now that's a cleaning hack.
43:16Pushing machines, they blow, come and blow, blow.
43:20That's your fibre broadband installed.
43:22Thanks, Anto.
43:23He did some job, that Anto.
43:25I don't know what it was, but broadband is only banging.
43:29He does it with the router?
43:31Ugh!
43:32Lovely young fella.
43:34Whatever this yoke is de-plugged in,
43:35this signal is unreal, boy.
43:38Yes!
43:39Our Virgin Media Red House technicians
43:41know how to get the best from your fibre broadband installation.
43:44Every look, every cranny, guaranteed for life.
43:50You may not have known,
43:51but Vodafone Business are experts in a lot more than connectivity.
43:54Game-changing for your business.
43:56Sort of like you mightn't have known
43:57that surfing,
43:59baking,
44:01and fishing
44:03are actually expert skills
44:05of these guys.
44:08Game-changing.
44:09Like cybersecurity, cloud solutions,
44:11and collaboration tools from Vodafone Business.
44:14They form some strong bonds here,
44:26but nothing tears bonds apart.
44:29Like good old money.
44:33Well, I think the people that said that money means nothing to them,
44:36that they find happiness, nothing to them.
44:37Can I just say something, yeah?
44:38I'm not going to be out of it.
44:39No, no, no, hang on.
44:39I've been trying to speak this whole time.
44:43Immediately, the whole thing descended into a shouting match.
44:47When there's actual money on the line,
44:49then you're people on a mission.
44:51Let Andy talk.
44:52One at a time, please.
44:53Andy was trying to talk first.
44:54Hang on.
44:55Let him.
44:55I'm just going to say two points,
44:56and then that's it.
44:57I want to take my name out of it,
44:59and I do give my vote for 60% to go to Natasha.
45:02Wait, so I think that's a good...
45:05Let's start with the people who want to be out.
45:06I'm out, too.
45:07Yes, yes.
45:08So, Tyam, Andy, me, out.
45:10Anybody else who wants to be out?
45:12Stephen.
45:13If it was given to me, of course I'd take it,
45:15but I'm not going to be arguing with someone.
45:16I much prefer earning my money.
45:18That's four.
45:19One more.
45:23Seven minutes left.
45:24One more needs to come out.
45:26Oh, we have to vote.
45:26I don't get one.
45:28The C-Tyam deal and Stephen opt out,
45:30it was nice.
45:31You know, it shows they're real people.
45:33Now, the others that didn't opt out,
45:34I'm not saying that against them,
45:35like, they need the money,
45:37so absolutely own it, you know?
45:38Yeah, then we'll vote who doesn't get one,
45:40and we'll vote.
45:41Who wants the 60%?
45:43I'd love it, but I don't feel like I'd...
45:45Who wants it?
45:46I would love it.
45:47Okay, put your hand up.
45:48Who wants it?
45:49Me.
45:49Okay, four of you.
45:51Actually, I think it's quite brave
45:52to put yourself forward for wanting the money,
45:54to say, no, I either need or would like this.
45:56So, let's put this up.
45:57No, I don't want it.
45:59No.
45:59We're running out of time.
46:00Five minutes left.
46:01Four of you just want that.
46:02Who wants the 20%?
46:03I wouldn't mind the 27%.
46:05Yeah?
46:05I'd take it, but I feel like there's other people
46:07that should be prioritised before me.
46:08How much do you want?
46:09I just feel like I don't want to take any money off anyone.
46:12How much do you say you want?
46:12I just want to say one piece, literally.
46:17No, I'll say it, go on, say it.
46:18I just want to say that, like, look,
46:19a little bit of money with public health
46:21isn't broke, like, but at the same time,
46:23money means more to other people here,
46:24so, like, you know.
46:25Can we let Ben talk because he's got a baby
46:27and he's got a...
46:28All I was going to say is for the sake of speed
46:30and efficiency here, I trust Andy.
46:33He's out of it, so he doesn't have any personal stake.
46:35I would say if we just let Andy decide
46:37who gets everything.
46:38Great.
46:38Are we agreed with that?
46:39Great.
46:40I want someone to make a decision.
46:42That's actually very interesting.
46:43They've defaulted back to the de facto leader.
46:45I actually kind of think they're scapegoating Andy here,
46:47and I think he knows it,
46:49and maybe he's not that happy about it.
46:50We also have six people that want it,
46:52so we have to figure out...
46:54Okay, can I ask you what you want?
46:56I'll give you what you want.
46:56No, I don't...
46:57You pick a number.
46:58I don't want to pick.
46:59Jacob, take 20%.
47:00That's it.
47:02Who else was in it?
47:03We all would love the 60.
47:05Let's be for real.
47:05We all would love the 60.
47:06We all would love the 60.
47:07I like, everyone would say 60.
47:08Everybody's going to say 60.
47:08Everyone is going to say 60.
47:10Give Natasha the 60,
47:10and then we can change it if it need be.
47:12Give Natasha the 60.
47:13Yeah, give Natasha the 60.
47:14You said that?
47:14I love Jack.
47:15I'm here.
47:16I feel bad with that book.
47:19That feels awful.
47:20Now, you just choose between us.
47:21There you go.
47:22Are you happy with that?
47:23Sure.
47:24Are you happy with that?
47:25Sophie, you happy?
47:26Oh, sorry.
47:27I forgot you were there.
47:28Sorry.
47:29It's okay.
47:29Oh, no.
47:30I'm sorry.
47:30I didn't know.
47:31I can't believe I missed her.
47:32Like, I was throwing out the cards,
47:34and, like, it just...
47:35It blew over my head.
47:36Like, truthfully, I forgot.
47:36It's so okay.
47:38I think Andy obviously gave Amy money
47:39because he fancies the arse offer.
47:41No, choose between us.
47:42No, it's good because looking at...
47:43No, I just...
47:44No, no, no, no, no.
47:45I think just because you have a child...
47:48No, no, you earned...
47:49I don't think it should be, like,
47:51because Ben has a child.
47:52There's only one income.
47:53I'm not putting any pressure on you.
47:54I feel disgusting.
47:57Like, I feel so bad.
47:58Time is up.
48:02I hope he's got what he's...
48:03Yes, I really do.
48:04Really do.
48:05You know what I mean?
48:08Diners, have you decided on who holds the cards
48:11and the percentages they have?
48:14Yes.
48:14Yes.
48:14Yes.
48:14I was given the 20%.
48:16The reason that I feel like they did that
48:17was because they heard me when I said about my surgery.
48:20So, yeah, my heart was just full at that moment.
48:23So you have unanimously agreed.
48:25However, there is one more decision to be made.
48:30I was like,
48:30what the hell is happening now?
48:33I know I can't keep up.
48:36Earlier today, you were all allowed to choose the seats that you're sitting in.
48:40And if you could now check below your chair, one of you will find an envelope.
48:43I was nervous to see who got the envelope, because there's always that little bit of a twist where you think,
48:50God, this could, you know, end a little bit unpredictable.
48:53What the hell?
48:55What the hell?
48:56Me.
48:56I found it.
49:01Andy, can you please open the envelope?
49:04I'm sorry in advance.
49:08I was fumbling.
49:09I couldn't even open it.
49:09My big fat fingers was open.
49:10I was shaking.
49:11I was thinking it was probably going to be like, yeah, there's no money,
49:15and we hope you guys have learned a lesson from this.
49:19Oh, no.
49:23What's that for?
49:25Andy, you have chosen the seat with the envelope that now gives you the opportunity
49:30to keep all of the money in the box,
49:33or you can stick with the group's decision and keep the split how you've decided.
49:39What would you like to do?
49:40When Andy had to make that call, all I could think was it's his decision entirely,
49:45and I honestly wouldn't blame him for picking himself.
49:52You guys keep it.
49:53I don't want it.
49:53Ah, Andy.
49:55Gentleman.
49:55Okay, will we have a look inside the box?
49:58Yes.
50:01It's really hard for me to be like, oh, thanks for the money.
50:05You know, I just feel really awkward about it.
50:07But, like, when I'm realistic, I do want to study law.
50:11So, you know, that's going to help.
50:14That's going to, you know, go towards that.
50:16You know, college is not cheap.
50:18Accommodation in Dublin is not cheap.
50:19This test is not about the sum of money, but about whether you guys could work together collectively as a group when there's money involved.
50:28Diners, this experiment is nearly over, so if there's anything that's left unsaid, now is the time.
50:36Well, first, I want to say, like, yous have educated me a lot on things, and I've given myself a little bit of a reality check.
50:47There is one or two people at this table that have restored my faith in humanity, like, hugely.
50:51Even though I might have seen a bit more reserved on nights, yous created such a safe space for me to feel exposed.
50:58And when I tell yous, it is the most uncomfortable thing for me to feel fragile or vulnerable in any way.
51:05So, thank you for creating that space.
51:07And I guess it's not the worst thing in the world to, like, everyone has baggage.
51:11Everyone has trauma.
51:12So, it's not the worst thing in the world to spill your guts out and walk away feeling uncomfortable.
51:18Maybe that's something you have to push yourself through.
51:20So, thank you for that.
51:21I'm proud of you.
51:22Oh, my God.
51:23I've learned so much about myself.
51:26Like, I suppose I've kind of viewed people with the opposite views to me as evil.
51:31And I can see that you're not evil.
51:34You're good people.
51:35You just have different views.
51:37And while there's things that we will never agree on,
51:40there's a lot we actually can agree on.
51:43And, you know, you've taught me to see the human in my enemy.
51:46Wow.
51:46What a statement.
51:47That's beautiful.
51:48I like that.
51:50I learned that it's okay to cry and not feel ashamed.
51:54People, they find it hard to even take me serious when I'm telling my story
51:56for the simple fact that I'm just so cold when I'm talking about my family situation and my life.
52:02And I feel like I came here and I actually, like, really felt it while telling yous.
52:09What about you, though?
52:09In scenarios like this in the past, I would have very much seen people as enemies
52:15because I would have been treated like the person who didn't matter.
52:20And Ireland, you know, in the last couple of years, I was losing a little bit of hope.
52:24But what I've learned in the last two and a half days is there's so much good in Ireland
52:28because of its people.
52:30So thank you.
52:31Oh, Jesus.
52:31Because I, when I came into this experiment, I did the worst thing that I said I'd never do.
52:35And I judged books by their covers.
52:37Like, and I couldn't believe it then to come out from day one to where we are now to hear so many different opinions
52:43and for once, not one of them being negative towards me or my story, which has impacted me in a way
52:49that I can't even, like, articulate to you guys, like, we love you.
52:52I love you.
52:52I love you so much.
52:54Yeah, for me, honestly, I want to say a huge thank you to everybody here at this table.
53:00I've learned a lot.
53:02And there's been a lot of things that have happened to me that I just, you know,
53:07I move forward very quickly in a short space of time.
53:10And the conversation about my daughters is something I hate from you guys.
53:14You know, I just, I avoid my dad because he always asks, how's the kids?
53:18And it's a hard one for me to respond to.
53:20So I didn't deal with that until the day when the conversation came up, it reminded me of that.
53:27Last thing I wanted to do was cry on TV, but here we are.
53:36Don't let me start crying.
53:38I just want to say I really, really appreciate everybody here.
53:42This is a fantastic, tremendous experience.
53:44You know, I went in with a mindset of getting into arguments with people.
53:50And, you know, I had all these talking points in mind where I thought,
53:53oh, they're going to say this and then I'm going to say that.
53:55And in the end, most of us want the same kind of world.
53:59We have the same values.
54:01We just disagree on how to get there.
54:04But we can have something which is more important than agreement on this or that point,
54:10but that we can actually form a relationship with another person.
54:13So thank you all for that.
54:15Firstly, I'd just like to say that it's absolutely beautiful to see you open up like that.
54:20So well done, the two of you.
54:22As for myself, I came in like Ben with particular views.
54:26I think the most thing I've been changed on is Jacob.
54:30Jacob taught me more about the trans community in the last couple of days than I've learned in my entire life.
54:35And going forward, I would be more conscious of that.
54:39There's a couple of people, maybe like Natasha, that we won't always see eye to eye,
54:42but I can say that at least we tried to meet in the middle.
54:46If you work together, it'll be okay.
54:49That's me.
54:49I suppose I've learned to take down this kind of persona of being kind of very quiet and reserved.
54:58I think when I opened up, you liked me better.
55:02You know, I'm blown away by you.
55:04Honestly, Jacob, you've just been amazing.
55:06You know, I have never met a transgender man before or a transgender girl,
55:11and I'm just blown away.
55:12I've learned so much.
55:14I appreciate that so much.
55:15Yeah, 100%.
55:16I came in here with my backup.
55:18I was expecting arguments, and I was ready for the arguments.
55:21I was like, these people are not my people.
55:23I might have even called Ben a bitch.
55:27You know, um...
55:28You know, um...
55:30I missed one hell of a first day.
55:32Seriously, though, like, you've all taught me something.
55:36Including Ben, like, you all have taught me something,
55:38and I'm grateful for it.
55:39I'm absolutely grateful for it.
55:40We're here at the end.
55:41We're all still smiling.
55:42We're all still happy.
55:44And all beautiful people still at the end of the day,
55:47even with different opinions.
55:49And me and Andy's getting married, so everybody's quiet.
55:51Yeah, I see ya.
55:52So should we do a cheers?
55:54I don't have anything in this, but, like, should we do a cheers?
55:56I really think this experiment shows that no matter what the difference is,
55:58we can all reach an understanding of each other
56:00if we give each other the time to talk and we listen.
56:02Which glass?
56:03We do the big glasses, because they look pretty.
56:04Cheers!
56:05Cheers!
56:06A little bit of discomfort brings a lot of growth.
56:08What a journey.
56:09Dinner with friends!
56:11The experience has been life-changing.
56:15If we communicated like this on a regular basis,
56:18or it was done in schools and colleges,
56:21I think the world would be a better place.
56:23Diners, this experiment is now over.
56:26You may leave the table.
56:27All right, here's a little song for everybody to listen.
56:29Yeah!
56:31It's talking about love, and it's talking about heat.
56:33I've just learned more, and I understand the importance of sitting down more
56:36and talking to people from, you know, where we differ in views,
56:39and having true, in-depth conversations with truth and transparency.
56:43There's so much hate going on today, on the right and on the left.
56:48I see things a lot differently, and I probably will stand up more for people,
56:53transgender, and things that have gone on between the table.
56:57I think I've learned a lot from them.
57:00Oh, they got it!
57:01They got it!
57:01And we have a romance at the end.
57:07Aww!
57:08I don't feel like I'm ever going to have a conversation the same way again
57:12after this whole experience.
57:14I feel like for the rest of my life,
57:16any time I'm discussing the trans issue,
57:19I'll have Jacob at the back of my mind.
57:21They could have just came in here and kept their opinions where they were,
57:25but they didn't.
57:25They gave me a space to open, to grow, to listen, to share, to learn.
57:30I'll never be able to thank them enough.
57:32That's why I'm singing now, I...
57:35It's birthdays, broken hearts, and missing grannies.
57:39So, you know, just another week in the Amine house.
57:41Our cracking comedy Faithless concludes Wednesday night at ten
57:44on Virgin Media Play and One.
57:46All sing together now, I be the good Lord.
