Two adults and a child from the same family have died in a collision between a truck and a car in Victoria’s west this afternoon.

00:00Emergency services were called to the accident between a truck and a car at this rural intersection in Stonely in Victoria's West this morning at about 9.30.
00:10Police believe the car that was filled with three generations from the one family failed to stop at the intersection and was hit by an oncoming B double truck.
00:19The crash killed a three-year-old child and their two parents, the mother aged 31 and the 41-year-old father who was driving.
00:26The grandmother, who was trapped inside the vehicle, has life-threatening injuries and has been flown to hospital.
00:32Inspector Craig McEvoy from the Major Collisions Unit said they believe it was no fault of the truck driver and he is assisting police.
00:39He said one life lost is too many and for it to be three generations is tragic.
00:45The area surrounded by farmland has been blocked off and detectives from the Major Collisions Unit will investigate.
