00:00Super Typhoon Phuong-1 battled the Philippines' northeastern coast ahead of landfall on Sunday,

00:06leaving at least two people dead and forcing more than a million people to evacuate.

00:11The climate phenomenon approached the Pacific coast while the Philippines was still dealing

00:16with the devastation caused by Typhoon Kalmaegi, which left at least 224 people dead

00:23in the central provinces on Tuesday before hitting Vietnam, where at least five people

00:28lost their life. The typhoon reached maximum sustained winds of up to 185 km per hour

00:35and gusts of up to 230 km per hour. More than a million people were evacuated from high-risk villages

00:42in northeastern provinces, including in Bicol, a coastal region vulnerable to pacific cyclones

00:49and north floods from Meijon, one of the country's most active volcanoes.
