00:00What are you talking about?
00:07He was going to be wanting to help me with my kids.
00:09I think it's Steve, but I haven't seen him maybe dead anywhere.
00:15And this is the same person we're talking about right here?
00:18Yeah.
00:19What is going on?
00:21It looks to me like he went bad and he ended up dead.
00:24We're kind of going through all those contacts to find out who could have done this to him.
00:28So that's why I was talking to you because he's not here to tell us.
00:35He knows exactly what happened.
00:38It's true, but you don't know.
00:40I don't believe that's true.
00:43I received a call from our dispatch to check on the well-being of Mr. Wilson.
01:00The front door was unlocked.
01:02Walking into the back bedroom, we located Mr. Wilson on the bed.
01:07There was a lot of dried blood coming out of his mouth, down his chest.
01:10It had pooled in his lap and also under his head.
01:15There was blood clearly on the ceiling and wall and soaking the mattress.
01:20It looked like he had been inside the home for a few days, deceased.
01:24We found that Steve was stabbed four times in the back and shoulders and then four times in the neck and head area.
01:39The fatal wound was to his spine.
01:41The stab wounds were, you know, so severe they broke through bones.
01:48There was no forced entry at the residence, but we did locate some watch boxes that were emptied out on the vanity.
01:56We could never locate those in the home, so we assumed they had been stolen.
02:01As we continued the investigation, I noticed that all of the cigarette butts were white Marlboro cigarette butts.
02:09But when I opened the lid to the ashtray and the cup holder, there was one brown, cool cigarette butt.
02:17I believe that it had to have been recent.
02:20The DNA from the cigarette butt may point us towards a suspect.
02:26The one thing that stood out were some cash app transfers to a person named Daniel Diamond around the time that we believe he died.
02:47We learned that she was an escort that Steve Wilson liked to frequent and she would come to his house.
02:54We started to recognize that that's going to be her street name.
02:58And just a Google search located some selfie photographs of a white female with red hair.
03:05We entered into a mugshot recognition program and we were able to match it to Paige Lane.
03:15Paige had an extensive criminal history.
03:17She was an escort and she frequents hotels around St. Louis County area.
03:23I also found body camera video with her.
03:26Police Department.
03:28Is there anybody else in there?
03:30Yeah.
03:31Who is in there?
03:32My boyfriend.
03:33There was a black male in the room with her with the name of Sydney Bias.
03:37You have a probation violation.
03:38We got to give you a new court date and I know you're also soliciting.
03:43Sydney Bias had an extensive criminal history of violence and drug related offenses.
03:48He was a documented gang member with gangster disciples and he goes by the name of King.
03:53We believed that he was Paige Lane's pimp.
03:56On the night that Steve died, she had progressively gotten closer and closer to the house until she was just outside of Steve Wilson's home.
04:16We were able to go obtain video footage from those locations.
04:21We saw that she had left a hotel on March 31st at around 11pm.
04:27She was with a person who appeared to be Sydney Bias.
04:32A mile away from Steven Wilson's house in Wentzville, Paige was seen at the gas station.
04:39When the tags were ran, we came up with the name of Sydney Bias as the owner of the vehicle.
04:47However, we could not determine if Sydney Bias was actually with her during that time at the gas station.
04:54Long time no see.
04:55A little bit.
04:56Cool Blue 100, please.
04:58We discovered she had purchased a pack of cigarettes.
05:01We recognized immediately that the cigarettes that were recovered on scene matched the same pack of cigarettes that she had just purchased.
05:08Shortly after that, we found a text message from her to an unknown number stating,
05:14I'm going to kill him.
05:18She returned to that hotel around 4am wearing different clothes.
05:22The DNA was a match to Paige Lane.
05:35We put all manpower into locating her.
05:38We found Steve had text conversations with Paige Lane to the fact that he had given her money to help out with her children.
05:55I think he almost thought that they were like boyfriend and girlfriend.
05:58But in the recent weeks, Steve Wilson seemed pretty upset.
06:03He accused her of leading him on to gain more money from him.
06:09And then shortly after that, we had messages sent by Steve asking other people to post negative reviews on her escort ads.
06:22Steven was trying to burn her pages.
06:27Burning an escort's page limits what type of clientele they get.
06:31Steve is taking away her business.
06:33If she was not able to earn money, then she wouldn't have been any good to Sydney, her pimp.
06:38Between the two of them, that would definitely be a motive to kill Steve.
06:43Steve was just like a kid at heart. He was so happy.
06:48Steve's daughter was his entire world.
06:51He was at every activity that she had going on. He didn't miss not one.
06:56He had pictures posted everywhere around all her accomplishments and how her grades were doing.
07:02He was a proud father.
07:04And he loved rehabbing those cars.
07:07He really had his heart set out to fix them for his daughter.
07:10He's like, when she turns 16, this car is hers, this car is hers.
07:15She was everything to him.
07:17And he got taken away.
07:19He got taken away.
07:21They believe Page Lane was residing at a hotel near the airport in St. Louis.
07:40About 45 minutes into doing this actual surveillance, we observed Page Lane leaving the hotel with city bias.
07:49Police units converged on their vehicle, and we were able to take Sidney and Page Lane into custody.
07:58We kept them completely separate from one another the entire time.
08:07We knew that if he was involved or had any involvement in telling her to do this, that it would be very difficult for us to get that out of her because there's a fear relationship between her and her pimp.
08:20The challenges that Sidney had an extensive criminal history.
08:27He's been through this before.
08:29They were looking to feel him out first to see how he was going to react.
08:33So who were you with today whenever you got picked up?
08:43Page.
08:44What Page is last name?
08:46I don't know.
08:47Is that just a girlfriend of yours?
08:52Or how are you guys associated with each other?
08:54I don't know.
08:55I don't know.
08:56I don't know.
08:57I don't know what she got to want.
08:58I just don't want to get nobody.
08:59We know what Page does.
09:01Alright.
09:02But there's-
09:03I don't know what Page does.
09:04I don't know what Page does.
09:05I don't know what She's all right.
09:10I don't know what Page does.
09:15I don't know what Page does.
09:16But there's-
09:19So we can talk openly and honestly about it.
09:21I know she solicits herself-
09:23Okay, you-
09:24For-
09:25Alright, I'm sorry.
09:26You can-
09:27Alright.
09:28Would you say that you help her manage this?
09:30Help-
09:31Not a gun.
09:31No, no, no, no.
09:33Okay.
09:33Nope.
09:33Nope.
09:34Nothing to do with it.
09:35Nope.
09:35Never ever.
09:36No.
09:37This has something to do with licitation or something?
09:41So what, man?
09:41Just a little bit more serious than so what?
09:44Okay.
09:45You know, you know what's happening right here?
09:47At all?
09:48Never ever.
09:49Never ever seen that, man.
09:50Never.
09:50You never seen me?
09:51Never.
09:52Never.
09:53But have you ever heard of the name Steve Wilson?
09:56No.
10:00No.
10:01Oh, man, she knows.
10:02And I'm just gonna come clean.
10:04I don't know.
10:04We're investigating the homicide.
10:08Okay, I'm not involved in the homicide with nobody.
10:11This person right here?
10:13I don't even know him.
10:15I've never seen him.
10:16He's never seen me.
10:17I don't even know him.
10:18And we have, okay, and we have five.
10:20They don't have got nothing to do with me, though.
10:22That's not true, though.
10:23We know that's not true.
10:24Okay, I don't, I don't, there's nothing I can tell you because I don't know nothing about
10:28this, and I know y'all, y'all got to be lying.
10:31Do you think we would be lying about something of this magnitude?
10:35Yes.
10:35We do have a lot of evidence that suggests that you are involved in the homicide.
10:51Okay.
10:52You can't.
10:53Hang on one second.
10:54What capacity?
10:55We don't know.
10:56You can't.
10:57This would be your opportunity to go ahead and tell us what capacity you're involved.
11:03We don't know this person.
11:04Did you know what was going to happen when you went up there?
11:09It would have been in the middle of last week.
11:11You weren't out here in the middle of the night?
11:14And when did?
11:15It was pretty easy to recognize that he didn't want to provide any information, especially
11:23about Paige.
11:24Between his drugs, his escort bracket, and this murder being investigated, there's little
11:31incentive for him to talk to us.
11:33Hey, oh, I don't even know this person.
11:35It seems like y'all trying to, like, frame me for something, to be honest.
11:38He was not intent on cooperating in any fashion, but we wanted to keep him to see if any information
11:51would come alight from Paige's interview.
11:54Our hope was that she would give us information putting him at the scene or involved in Steve
12:00Wilson's murder in some fashion.
12:05All right.
12:07Now you.
12:08Here, we want to talk to you about.
12:12So.
12:13What was his name?
12:14Oh.
12:14You know who he was with?
12:15King.
12:16Kidney.
12:16Yes.
12:17Oh, you know who he was like, King?
12:19Well, I mean, that's what I call him.
12:21Oh, so, who was he to you?
12:24That's the man who raised my son.
12:27So I did not.
12:28His blood father, no.
12:29He helped me when he was.
12:30So do you guys live together or stay together?
12:32Uh-huh.
12:33Because you ride with them today.
12:34Do you ride with them often, or?
12:36No, not really.
12:37Okay.
12:37We've been broke up since mid-last year.
12:41There's no other friends of yours that might give you some money or help you out financially?
12:47Um, I mean, like, I had, like, no, I don't know.
12:51Um, yeah, that was, like, a sugar daddy for a while.
12:53Like, she was like, quote unquote.
12:55Uh, I mean, sugar daddy, what are you talking about?
12:58Like, um, he would send me money, um, help me with my kids, help me get around.
13:02Who was that?
13:02So, um, his name is Eve, and I don't know his last name, though.
13:09But I haven't seen him because I haven't been talking to him.
13:13And, like, uh, what did I go see?
13:17Maybe February?
13:20That's the last time I've seen him.
13:22And this is the same person we're talking about right here?
13:24Yeah.
13:25She says that she last met with Steve in February, but we know that she was meeting with him in March and getting money from him in March.
13:34We knew she was lying the whole time right off the get-go.
13:39He had a lot of contacts with a lot of people.
13:41Right.
13:41You ever seen anybody at his house when you were over there?
13:43Uh-uh.
13:44No, but, like, I've had, like, other girls call me because, like, he messaged a whole bunch of...
13:49He was mad at me.
13:50Yeah.
13:50Like, he messaged a whole bunch of girls, like, other workers, and told them to set me up, to beat me up, to beat me up, like, to beat me up, to, oh, she robbed me, you know, no.
14:03And girls are calling me.
14:04A girl who set you up to beat you up?
14:06Yeah.
14:06Like, yeah.
14:08And to burn, like, quote, unquote, burn my page, you know, say, um, this, that, you know, or whatever.
14:12Because, like, he was mad.
14:14What is going on?
14:15We're kind of going through all those contacts to find out who was the last people there.
14:19Okay.
14:19You know, they could have done this to him.
14:21Could have done this to him.
14:23Yeah.
14:23So that's what was talking to you, because we believe you're one of the last people there.
14:30Oh, okay.
14:32Right when he brings up about, we're investigating something with Steve, then all of a sudden both shoes come flying off.
14:40The nervous twitches with her are all over the place.
14:43Most people that are innocent, they're not so fidgety, you know.
14:49So I want to catch up here.
14:51Uh, that's a different one.
14:53That's a camera.
14:54That's what we're doing now.
14:55On your phone.
14:57That's what we do.
14:57Uh-huh.
14:58You know, we located some documents that we had some questions about.
15:05One of which was this one right here.
15:08What is this?
15:09Okay.
15:10This is a screenshot.
15:13Okay.
15:14From your account on March 31st at 2346, which is 1146.
15:23Uh-huh.
15:25Okay.
15:26Yep, that's a hit house.
15:27Okay.
15:28So that's what I'm asking about.
15:29He said you weren't there since February.
15:31Right.
15:31I went down the street and picked up another girl.
15:35That was a hit house?
15:36Yes.
15:36And she didn't have a right.
15:37Was this other girl seeing Steve?
15:41Yes.
15:42And who was she?
15:43Uh-huh.
15:44But she goes by Niche.
15:46Niche?
15:47Yes.
15:47So where did you start her up at?
15:50Uh, at the end of the road.
15:52They didn't go in a driveway?
15:54No.
15:55No.
15:55You didn't go in his house?
15:56No.
15:57This was from the cloud.
15:58Okay.
15:58From your old phone.
15:59Okay.
16:01The location that you're telling us doesn't match up.
16:03I didn't know exactly what happened, you know?
16:07I sat in the passenger seat and waited for it.
16:09Where?
16:09In the driveway.
16:12In the driveway?
16:13Yeah.
16:14What did you do during that time?
16:15Uh, sat there and I was on the phone and played on it.
16:20Was he done with you there?
16:21No.
16:22No, he was not there.
16:24Okay.
16:24So none of the area checks for the device IDs or anything like that
16:28and showed him being there.
16:30Uh, no, he wasn't with me.
16:32Not at the street or anything like that?
16:34Up the street?
16:35Uh, he went somewhere and went to a little bit like I didn't connect with him or anything.
16:41Okay.
16:42Do you still look like you're there?
16:44No.
16:45Uh, uh, I mean, in the cloud.
16:49Yeah.
16:49So you're telling me you were not in his house?
16:51No, I wasn't in his house since everywhere.
16:54Okay.
16:55So you understand that anything that you touch leaves DNA, right?
17:00Mm-hmm.
17:01That's only unique to you?
17:02Mm-hmm.
17:03I did not go in that house.
17:04You didn't?
17:05I did not go in that house.
17:06Okay.
17:07No.
17:07Okay.
17:08No.
17:09Because Steve's not here to tell us.
17:12Okay.
17:13So that's the problem.
17:16Yeah.
17:17Okay.
17:17I was right.
17:19I was right for a second, I should think.
17:21Mm-hmm.
17:22Well, I was, like, hearing.
17:23Right.
17:25Yeah.
17:25Okay.
17:27When you bring up Steve's name, it's a, you know, a little laugh.
17:32She's thinking hard now.
17:34The wheels are really turning in her head.
17:37It's the time to really start buckling down on her.
17:41We know you're lying, so you need to start being truthful with us.
17:46I'm just telling you that if you're saying you never went in that house at night,
17:50the evidence inside that house from your DNA suggests otherwise.
17:54They have all his phone text messages, all that text messages, all your messages,
17:59all your location data, all the accounts data.
18:03Right.
18:03Okay.
18:03And consistently just goes back to you.
18:06I'm hoping everybody who I think had possibly had contact with them during their time frame.
18:11Like, you're just kidding me.
18:12Okay.
18:14So, just because someone ends up dying doesn't mean it's a murder.
18:18Obviously, we think worse.
18:20Right, no.
18:21So, when we have evidence, we have to follow the evidence.
18:24No, I, I, I, I, I understand.
18:27I would love for you to explain to me what happened and how it happened so that I can understand.
18:32And truthfully, you don't know.
18:34I don't believe that's true.
18:35I, I did not know what happened.
18:36Based on the evidence we have, I can tell you this much.
18:39Steve was a funny person.
18:53He was always laughing, always smiling.
18:56But I felt that he was lonely.
18:59He started using other means of dating women.
19:04And I told him that lifestyle that he chose at that particular time, that is a dangerous thing.
19:12It made no sense at all.
19:22So, I just need to understand and be able to reason why you're in the house.
19:29I wasn't.
19:31I wasn't.
19:32That's, that's not meshing with the evidence we have.
19:36It's one kind of type.
19:37I truly don't need to know what happened.
19:40Like, I, I, I, I.
19:42I believe you do know.
19:43But I don't.
19:44I don't.
19:45It's very tough to stay patient when the lies start getting circular and they're not changing.
19:51And you can't break out of that.
19:53It becomes an issue because you're at a dead end.
19:55All right, I'll be right back.
19:56I'll just smoke.
19:57I'm going to break your phone, okay?
19:58Okay.
19:58So, at this point, I asked Detective Sergeant Meyer to be part of the
20:02interview.
20:02He has more of a softer approach.
20:05The both of us in there together, maybe she would feel like she had somebody on her side.
20:09I'm sure you guys never talked about this.
20:13No, yeah.
20:14When you went out there at the end of March, the end of April, you were with a friend.
20:18Yeah, we, she, and that's the end of all of that.
20:21So, this, this gal that was with you, that you drove out to, uh, to Steve's house.
20:27Mm-hmm.
20:29You don't know her real name or anything like that?
20:31No, I, I don't, no, no one, no.
20:34So, that night they just knocked her out, did you get a hold of her?
20:37How did she get a hold of you?
20:37She had one of my phone, but so I let her have it that night.
20:42So, there was ongoing messages between this account back and forth, the last text from
20:48that thread said, I'm going to kill them.
20:50They were sent from a text app registered to this Gmail.
20:55Okay.
20:57So, who would have sent those?
20:59Uh, like if it, she had my other phone, there was, I, there was a, you know, so she could
21:05text her client.
21:06Well, she's not texting that.
21:08Right, no, she told me, no, she told me she got something that's true.
21:11So, you're saying that's the only possibility that it was her texting and stuff?
21:16Yeah, because I did not.
21:18And then she wrote out there with you.
21:20Right, yeah, she said she had a visit out there.
21:23Yes.
21:24Okay.
21:26Do you understand why it's a really important rest of the world of this Nest?
21:30Yes, yes, yes, my life.
21:33Right.
21:35So.
21:36My three of them, my kids.
21:37A2 was with you.
21:38Nest was, I thought.
21:41I swear.
21:41I just, I swear I'm like, no, it's got you.
21:44I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I.
21:51I'm sure there's an understandable reason for what happened that night.
21:59I don't know what it is.
22:01I need you to help piece it together so we can understand.
22:03I'm literally trying to do what I know.
22:07I'm not going to take the rap for any less.
22:11I'm going to love my baby.
22:13I'm going to love my kids.
22:14I want my life better.
22:18Your kids need you.
22:18And let's get to the truth, okay, please?
22:23We need to find the story that actually fits the facts.
22:26And that's what we're trying to do.
22:27You know what I'm saying?
22:29I'll meet you first time.
22:30Okay.
22:32Hello?
22:33You understand what you're saying?
22:34Okay.
22:35Yeah, no, I just, I do, I do.
22:39I just, I didn't, I didn't, I didn't have this in with him.
22:45I didn't, I didn't.
22:48In a setting like that, the table creates a barrier between you and them.
22:53So I made a decision to move my chair closer to her.
22:57I don't want to be behind the table.
22:58I want to open up to her as I want her to open up to me.
23:02Here I am.
23:03Focus on me.
23:05Tell me what happened.
23:06Something happened that night.
23:08I didn't need to figure it out, okay?
23:11That you're in the house.
23:14Okay?
23:14We got to get past the, your story, okay?
23:18The story's broken.
23:19It doesn't, it doesn't fit.
23:21That's science talking.
23:22That's not me thinking this or him thinking that.
23:25That's science.
23:26Okay?
23:26Hey, hey.
23:27How did you go?
23:28What time did you go into the house?
23:30I saw him earlier that day.
23:36I popped up and saw him.
23:38That's it.
23:39Like, I don't know.
23:41Like, during the day, yeah.
23:42Daylight.
23:44Who did you go out there with?
23:45Myself.
23:47But you went out to the house earlier in the day and you saw him.
23:52What time?
23:53Because he had, he messaged me, he messaged me, actually called him, like, saying, like,
23:57he broke his foot.
23:59And, like, I saw his hat for him.
24:01Like, I said, like, that's why I always messaged him.
24:03You know, like, I usually, like, saw his hat for him.
24:06You know, like, I don't know.
24:09Did Steve being out there give you anything?
24:13Any jewelry?
24:14Any mementos?
24:15Any items?
24:17Any money?
24:18Anything like that?
24:19Did he give you anything when you were there?
24:21No.
24:21Anything at all?
24:22No.
24:23When I was out of the room, we learned that when the investigators initially went to Paige's
24:27hotel room, they found several watches.
24:30We knew at Steve Wilson's home, there was a large jewelry box, which the jewelry was clearly
24:36missing out of.
24:37And we were able to determine that the watches that were in her room did, in fact, belong to
24:43Steve Wilson.
24:43There's some watches, I guess, in your hotel room?
24:46Yeah.
24:46Who did those?
24:47They are in here.
24:50Well, I mean, she, the, who?
24:52I mean, she, the, who is, what?
24:56What do you think the odds of those watches having Steve's DNA on them are?
25:03I said pretty high.
25:09Huh?
25:10I'm saying pretty high.
25:11She told me they were in here.
25:21She told me they were in here.
25:25Who told you they were in here again?
25:28Nested.
25:29Nested.
25:29Uh, but it was five, six, six days ago when she stopped by.
25:36She stopped by six days ago and gave you those watches?
25:38Yeah.
25:39She said she was going out of town.
25:41Well, you don't know what town it was.
25:42No, I didn't ask her where she was going or anything.
25:45But, you know, she said she was going, like, she said Chicago or Kansas City.
25:49And she said she was going up that way.
25:51But I don't know which one that she stopped at.
25:54Obviously, those were lies.
25:56You got to be patient.
25:58Let them tell you half-truths until the half-truth becomes a full truth.
26:01And we just had to push her over the edge to get her to say it.
26:04I know you're saying that Anonymous Nets gave you the watches.
26:09But it's just one more of those factors that I'm telling you that when you put it in a line of everything going on and now you have his watches.
26:16I trust it.
26:17I know.
26:18I don't.
26:20I don't.
26:20The whole street guy, I think that whole life, like, that's never me.
26:25That's not me.
26:26I'm going to be f***ing game with it.
26:29I don't break my covers for people.
26:32I f***ing take a s*** for no one.
26:35I'm not going to be my baby for no one.
26:38It looks to me like either you went over there with the intention to kill him or you went over there with the intention for something else to happen and s*** went bad and he ended up dead.
26:48That's what it looks like.
26:49One of those two things.
26:51There's something that you're not telling me.
26:53Exactly.
26:54I can tell people are not telling us the whole truth.
27:00You've been full of half-truths all night long.
27:02I didn't say anything about it.
27:04I don't know.
27:05I really don't.
27:07I didn't kill him.
27:08I didn't even go with it.
27:10You lied to us earlier.
27:11You lied to us several different times.
27:14And you came out earlier and you said, well, you know what?
27:17I did there earlier in the day.
27:19I'm ready.
27:20I did.
27:20But that took forever for you to get sad a little bit and may be treated out of you.
27:27I don't know.
27:28I don't know.
27:29I don't know.
27:30I don't know.
27:31So the real truth here is that if you don't tell us what happened, you're not going to see your baby's fault.
27:39The whole time in the interview, it was a battle to get her to tell anything that was truthful.
27:51She's given it a little bit at a time.
27:54Eventually, you have to quit with all the niceness and be stern with somebody.
27:59So it would be murder at this point because nothing could be justified in what happened.
28:06And for murder, you're going to sit down on it for 20 years.
28:10Now, you understand the difference between murder, right, and murder?
28:15You can tell us what had actually happened in order for us to be able to do anything other than that charge.
28:21That's the only charge that goes right now.
28:22You've given us nothing.
28:25You're out there.
28:26This man's dead.
28:27You got his watches.
28:28You're working in the house.
28:30I mean, like, texting him about, I'm going to kill this guy.
28:34Like, it looks like it was completely planned and set up to go murder this dude.
28:38If that's not the case, then you better start to 100% information because otherwise, you're sitting down on the murder charge.
28:43You're not going to see your kids.
28:46Like, that's the only thing you do.
28:48You're saying there's no difference between me, you think.
29:00There's a big difference.
29:01What do you think?
29:02There is a murder charge of life in prison and total probation.
29:09Yeah, there's a lot of people living in three years.
29:14That beat the hell out of 20 with no probation.
29:17What do you think would happen if you get convicted of murder?
29:20Like, something happened and the only way out of it,
29:26the only way to see your kids again within the next 20 years
29:30is going to be legitimate to tell the truth so we can get it figured out.
29:35Without that, there's 20 years.
29:37There's remorse.
29:38Or there's nothing.
29:41If you keep talking about your kids and that,
29:44this is your opportunity to be able to see your kids.
29:46If you're not in a mass security prison somewhere far away,
29:49you're not going to be locked up for 20, 30 years.
29:54This is what happened.
30:00And I don't want to be more alive.
30:02I want the truth back.
30:04We're getting somewhere real close now,
30:06breaking her down a little bit.
30:07And at that point, I notice she really starts rubbing on her wrists
30:11and her arms in one spot in particular that appeared to have been a cut.
30:17So I call her out on that.
30:19Did he do that to you?
30:29Did he make that mark on your knife or what?
30:38What happened?
30:39How did the arm, how did your arm be cut?
30:46He protected myself.
30:48Okay.
30:49What happened?
30:50I've been hurting somebody lately.
30:56And so I went to take a visit.
30:58Was it night time or day?
30:59I'm sorry.
31:00That night.
31:01That night.
31:02Were you by yourself or stayed with you?
31:03I was by myself.
31:07So what happened when you got there?
31:09I was in.
31:10He gave me a hug.
31:12I sat there on the couch.
31:14I was in.
31:15He gave me a hug.
31:16I was in.
31:17I was in.
31:18He gave me a hug.
31:19I was in.
31:20I was in.
31:21I was in.
31:22I was in.
31:23I was in.
31:24I was in.
31:25I was in.
31:26I was in.
31:27He gave me a hug.
31:28I was in.
31:29I was in.
31:30I was in.
31:31He gave me a hug.
31:32I was in.
31:33I was in.
31:34I was in.
31:35I was in.
31:36I was in.
31:37I sat there on the couch.
31:38For a while.
31:40Then.
31:41We.
31:42We.
31:43Went up there said.
31:44I.
31:45I.
31:46Wouldn't get a dress.
31:47And.
31:48Like.
31:49He told me if I come over here.
31:51You know.
31:52He sent me $100.
31:53Like.
31:54I said.
31:55I don't do anything for $100.
31:56Like.
31:57He was like.
31:58Sitting on his back.
31:59And he was taking his boot off.
32:01And I was standing.
32:02And.
32:05And.
32:07Then.
32:08He.
32:09He got mad at me. I should have turned around. I should have walked away. But I just stood there when he held me. You bitch. And he came towards me and he grabbed one of his knives and he came towards me.
32:26And I put my arm up and I grabbed mine out of my pocket. I don't know. I know but I don't know what happened.
32:56He came at you and cut you and you pulled your knife.
32:59I pulled mine out. When I pulled mine out, I hit him on the side of his neck.
33:12Like this?
33:13No.
33:15So he came and I was like, ah. And I turned and mine was in my hand. And I took back lash.
33:21I just grabbed my arm. And I was like, ah, you know, freaked out. And I don't even know. So then I just sent him.
33:36He came and I was like, ah, went like this way. And oh my gosh.
33:42Did you like go towards him to get him? Or were you like, go away?
33:48No, I stayed crouched down. I crouched up and protected myself like this. And it was just like, like closed eye just like stabbed, you know.
33:59And then I like peeped and he was just like looking at me. You know, really, it just all like flashed.
34:07We know how Steve Wilson was murdered. He was stabbed in the back with a violent force.
34:16Clearly, as she acted it out, it does not fit the evidence. She made some backhanded stabbing motion gingerly towards him.
34:24Well, we know that's not possible given where the stab wounds were located on his body.
34:28It was, it was, it was a freak out panic. I, I, I.
34:34Did you check him or anything? I checked the skulls or.
34:36No, no.
34:36Trying to wake him up, shake him?
34:37No, no, I was just telling him he was dead though.
34:40I, he looked like it. I don't, like, I, it just, it was like it all happened so quick.
34:47I wanted to call, but like I'm.
34:49When something accidental happens, you're going to stick around, make sure somebody's going to get the help they need.
35:11At least I didn't believe it was self-defense.
35:12Those were lies to, you know, minimize your involvement in any kind of crime.
35:16And then what, what happened after that?
35:19Uh, I, I left and then, what is, I, uh, I left and the, with the, the watches he had, like, he had stuff, like, backed up, like, on the side or whatever.
35:34I know some of my bullets got on that back from, like, when I turned and that's why I grabbed the bag.
35:41The bag with the watches?
35:41Yeah, it took it with the, I.
35:43Take anything else with you?
35:44I threw, I threw a phone.
35:47Yeah, I don't know, with the, with the, with the, with the, uh, with the knife.
35:55Where are the clothes you were wearing?
35:57I threw them away.
35:59Where at?
36:00Uh, in a, in a dumpster downtown.
36:04Did you talk to anybody else about this?
36:05I, I, I, I'm so, so, so, like, I, I, I've been drinking a while, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I.
36:16What were you worried about?
36:18The reason you said you were going to follow the police but then you were worried?
36:22Because I was a murderer.
36:23I don't, like, this is the way I, I, I, I, I.
36:26He knows he's got her on the ropes.
36:29You're so close.
36:30You're so close to telling the truth.
36:42It just, it was like it all happened so quick.
36:46I don't, I, I...
36:48I'm sure it weighs any on you.
36:53Especially when you said, you know, you kind of hit a soft spot for him because you felt sorry for him and everything.
36:58Like, I really, I really did, though.
37:00I believe you.
37:01It's, it's in my nature, like, compassion.
37:06Like, I, I help people.
37:07That's what I, I...
37:09Well, I said, we're, I mean, we're clearing it up.
37:11We're telling the truth now.
37:12We're on the right track.
37:14Yeah.
37:15Like, King doesn't know unless you guys told him.
37:23There's still some inconsistencies in, in your story.
37:32And I appreciate that you are, you know, you, you, you've taken a leap, right?
37:37You, you're, you're telling us stuff.
37:40But there's some things that still don't add up.
37:45Okay.
37:46So I want you to just backtrack to where you're up in the room.
37:49Uh-huh.
37:50And tell me exactly what happened in that room.
37:53Do no extra, no bulls**t.
37:55Just straight up on the street, please.
37:57I, I, I, I would have never heard him or heard anyone unless it's just anything myself.
38:05I, I wouldn't.
38:07And he posted, uh, it, uh, on one of the, like, in-care sites, you know, saying I'm a robber.
38:18And I stole from him and all this, and all the girls were calling me and, and all that.
38:23And I was leaving a lot of money.
38:26And so, like, I initially went there to get him to take the post down.
38:30Is it still up?
38:31No, he took it down.
38:33Oh, he didn't.
38:33Why did you help him there?
38:34Uh-huh.
38:35My concern is that you get there and you text it, I'm going to kill him.
38:40And then you go upstairs with Steve, and he's leaning over the bed.
38:46Well, I, I initially helped him with the boot.
38:48Okay.
38:49And then.
38:49And then down in some way.
38:50Right.
38:51Because the way the wounds are and how his hands work, like this, that he was obviously behind him, and stabbed him.
38:57Right, because, like, when I pulled out my head, you know, like, I said, like, I, like,
39:00I, like, nicked him a little bit.
39:01I understand exactly what I told you that.
39:02I know.
39:03Based on this and the angle where he was and, and sitting and how you described the situation doesn't match.
39:10It doesn't match the wounds.
39:11It doesn't match the force necessary to be generated.
39:14It seems more like you would have been maybe kneeling on the bed behind him, but just, just stabbed him.
39:21Like, I, I wasn't, I wasn't directly behind him.
39:25No, I mean, like, I, and, you know, like, my arm, you know, so, like, that's a little bit of, like, adrenaline rush.
39:31So you're still like saying that he made that cut on your arm at this time?
39:34Yes.
39:35Do you mean that's still a story you're keeping?
39:39Uh.
39:40Yeah, yeah, the, yeah, the one, yeah, I, yeah.
39:45She's making the story up the way she wants to tell the story, not how it really happened.
39:51We've got a confession that she stabbed him.
39:54Boom.
39:55That's what you needed.
39:57We've got enough on you.
39:58We're going to take you to jail, and we're going to get charges on you for homicide.
40:01Nothing else, any cards?
40:02Let's go, certainly.
40:03There's anything right there?
40:06I don't know.
40:11I don't know.
40:11I had some information from Paige that Sidney had driven her during the night that Steve was murdered.
40:24Because Sidney Bias was her pimp, we thought maybe had forced her to handle the situation in whatever fashion she could.
40:32You know what we're talking about?
40:34Why would any of this have something to do with me?
40:37Because it has to do with Paige.
40:39And you and Paige have been seen together quite a bit.
40:42I bet.
40:42So Paige killed the man.
40:45Who did y'all tell me she killed the man?
40:47They looked that way.
40:48She said that you gave her a ride to give me a seat.
40:53And then out to, they went on to this man's house.
40:58And then you weren't there, but you were in the area.
41:01No.
41:03There's no way.
41:04She couldn't say that.
41:05That's what it sounded like her exact words.
41:07You weren't there, but you were in the area.
41:10Okay, how I wasn't there, but no.
41:12That's what I'm asking.
41:13How are you not there, but in the area?
41:14I'm trying to tell you, I don't know nothing about nothing, man.
41:17This is what I'm going to tell you.
41:18These people I don't even know.
41:20Let me ask you about something you will know.
41:21I think I don't.
41:22Because we had you on the camera at the hotel,
41:26and she was telling us that you guys had left that night together
41:29on March 31st in your car.
41:33Shortly after that, she ended up at Steve's house.
41:35I know that because I got to answer that.
41:37My question is, were you with her or not?
41:39What is this happening?
41:40You know, hell no.
41:41I don't even know.
41:42Listen, I don't even know this person.
41:46That's what I'm telling you.
41:47Okay, I just want to be clear that you did not drive her
41:50to that man's house on March 31st.
41:52No.
41:53No.
41:55Sidney did ultimately let me look into his phone
41:57and where his location data would have been saved,
42:00and it was just inconclusive.
42:02So we decided to go ahead and let him go.
42:04All right, man, time to go.
42:05There's no evidence to show that he was there
42:07or had any involvement.
42:09We were able to determine she acted alone.
42:12She took Mr. Wilson's life,
42:16and she's got to pay her time for that.
42:18There's a sense of relief.
42:38That confession was earned.
42:40You can never bring nobody back,
42:41but you can do what you can
42:42to put the person to do it in prison
42:45for as long as you can.
42:49I was glad that she was caught.
42:52It's hurtful when you lose someone,
42:55but when it's senseless, it's even worse.
42:57It hurts more than just the person
43:00that has left the world.
43:02Steve will always have that special place
43:04in my heart regardless.
43:04He's always going to be a good friend to me.
