00:009-1-1
00:07I just got home and I opened the door and my husband's dead on the floor.
00:14Is he awake?
00:17I don't know. I can't do it. I can't look.
00:20Okay. Can you take a deep breath from me and go in there and see if he's awake?
00:26Yes.
00:27Do you feel like that's something you'd be able to do?
00:32I can't do it. I can't do it. I can't do it.
00:36Okay.
00:46Every suspect accused of a crime has the right to remain silent.
00:51Many agree to be interrogated anyway.
00:53But they can stop the interview at any moment, making it a race against time.
01:00Justice hangs in the balance.
01:02That morning, I was dispatched to a call of what's called an investigated death.
01:19That's where someone dies outside of a doctor's care.
01:22And when I showed up at the house, Kelly Baker was sitting on the front step side of the house.
01:29Kelly told me that she had come over to the house expecting her husband, Randy, not to be home and at work.
01:37She had gone in the house and had found her husband on the floor.
01:45And he was deceased.
01:46When I went into the home, I found Randy.
01:54He had a little puddle of blood underneath him.
01:57I could see Randy's phone, and he had some fast food bag and a drink cup that had spilled from a local restaurant.
02:08He had purchased a meal, it appears, and then fallen on the ground and hit his head.
02:15Kelly told me that Randy was suffering from some serious health conditions,
02:19and she thought Randy might have passed away due to some cardio issues.
02:35They announced that there were two bullets in Randy's body.
02:40One was in his skull, and another had been shot into his chest.
02:45Once we found out that was a homicide, we were really in the dark at this point in time as the who had shot Randy Baker.
03:01I always described him as like a big teddy bear, because he was 6'5", like 260 pounds.
03:09So to everyone, he seemed very intimidating.
03:12But to me, he was so loving.
03:17Every night, my entire childhood, we would write notes to each other before bed.
03:23So I would leave it on my nightstand, and he would switch it.
03:27Most of them were about how proud he was of me, and I'm going to love you no matter what.
03:34My dad was actually very quiet about his past.
03:38But what I do know is, once his mom died, he was 18 years old, and that led him down the road of alcohol and drugs.
03:48My aunt, Carol, told me she's the one who took him to rehab, and he finally got clean before I was born.
03:55And that's when he decided to become a drug alcohol addiction counselor.
04:00He graduated with his master's when I was 4 or 5.
04:03So, growing up, you saw the light in him helping other men.
04:08And you could tell it was a huge validation for him and love and passion.
04:13Kelly revealed that they had been married for many years, but now they were separated.
04:32And that she was living with a lady named Terry Lager in a town just south of Greeley.
04:37But that she would come to the home during the day and operate her hairstylist business that she ran out of the basement.
04:48We walked through the house and asked Kelly if anything looked out of place or if anything was missing.
04:55She said there was nothing else in the house that seemed out of place.
04:58But she pointed out that she couldn't find Randy's car that he would have driven home in when he returned home from work.
05:06I contacted his co-workers to see if possibly someone had given Randy a ride home, but was told no that he hadn't.
05:13They collected video from the treatment center he worked at and found what time he left work.
05:33And then I found the drive-thru video from the fast food restaurant, and that showed that Randy had driven himself home.
05:41The restaurant's about a 10, 15-minute drive from his house on the other side of Greeley.
05:46And based on the evidence that we have, that Randy likely drove home, went into the home, and was shot and killed.
05:53The restaurant's about a 10, 15-minute drive from his house on the other side of the house on the other side of the house on the other side of the house.
06:23is when that occasion comes to reveal how he died, to observe and document the reactions of the person you're talking to.
06:32Okay, I'm going to go through all this with your brothers, just we're going through everything with the kind of fine-tooth comb.
06:41So, Tuesday, were you working at the house?
06:44Yeah.
06:45Alright.
06:46And what time did you get out of there?
06:505.30?
06:53Okay.
06:53I'm 45 at the latest, and I walked out with my client.
06:59Did you go anywhere?
07:00Did you go out at all, or anywhere else?
07:02I stopped in that house before I went.
07:04Before you went home?
07:05To Terry's house.
07:06Okay.
07:07In Pato.
07:08Alright.
07:08Mm-hmm.
07:10So, you're separated.
07:11What was the reason for the separation?
07:14My name is 36, and he's been very sick for a long time.
07:17He had cardiomyopathy, and he was diagnosed in 03.
07:22The doctor just gave him five years, so he'll sit and make the best of it, and that was in 2003.
07:29So, we're in 2017.
07:31Uh-huh.
07:32He'd been in a hospital several times.
07:39Just very weak, very tired.
07:41Uh-huh.
07:42Very grouchy.
07:43And I go tell him, don't call me a bitch.
07:47You know, I'm taking care of you.
07:48I'm feeding you.
07:49I'm taking care of your clothes, your house, your car.
07:55And then I just said, at that point, I'm done.
08:01Initially, you're thinking, well, maybe he is grumpy because he's sick or something like that,
08:06but she's basically putting her dead husband in a bad light,
08:11which is the last thing I think someone in that situation would do.
08:15And I was really surprised by that.
08:17Did you have any kind of weapons in the house, firearms, or anything like that?
08:28No.
08:29Do you own any kind of firearm?
08:30No.
08:36Okay.
08:37So, I take that back there.
08:39I have two 90 millimeters and a shotgun, and it's a carriage.
08:46And I took them out because I was afraid that Randy would do something to hurt me.
08:53Okay.
08:54Why are you, and I'm not trying to be rude,
08:58why would you answer that you didn't have any if you had three?
09:02You're kind of freaking me out.
09:09I guess I didn't realize there'd be a lot of questions about my personal life and stuff.
09:14I didn't dig it, Randy, pass away from a heart.
09:16There are a lot of questions, and that's why I'm asking so many.
09:22Yeah.
09:22Because stuff has come to light since then.
09:29Do I live in a train?
09:31Am I in trouble?
09:32Right now, that's what I'm saying.
09:34I'm just trying to get information about this, okay?
09:37Okay.
09:37In this county, it's more often than not expected that you have guns.
09:52And so, a question like that is innocuous.
09:55And yet, for some reason, Kelly opted to initially deny that there were any firearms.
10:01And he said he took them because you were concerned that he would do something to you, or him, or both, or what do you think?
10:08Both.
10:08That may mean he didn't make a statement that he would, if he ever found out I was with somebody, he would kill me, them, and himself.
10:18Okay.
10:22And since the split up, have you started seeing anybody or anything?
10:27Do you know, has Randy started seeing anybody?
10:29No.
10:30Okay.
10:31Can I just wait here for a second?
10:35Sure.
10:36Do you need me to do the bathroom, or coffee, or water, or anything?
10:38No.
10:39All right.
10:50Kelly?
10:51Hi, I'm John.
10:52How are you?
10:53How are you?
10:54Good job.
10:55Um, just a quick introduction.
10:58I'm a detective at the police department.
10:59Just have a bunch of, uh, stuff to follow up on.
11:02Were the car missing and those types of things.
11:04His phone can offer some answers to us.
11:08And what I'm asking you, as the person who pays the bill on this phone, and kind of the owner of this phone, is if you would consent for us to go through this phone.
11:17Would you allow us to do the same with your phone?
11:20Hi, I have a question.
11:22I have a question.
11:22I don't know if you're going to break down on my wife.
11:27Are you under arresting us?
11:29No, you're not under arrest.
11:30We're doing an investigation.
11:32Okay.
11:33Okay?
11:33Um, you're not under arrest.
11:35I'm just, uh, sorry.
11:37I don't...
11:37I understand, but you...
11:40Okay, I don't want to explain to you.
11:42The coroner has ruled that the man or Randy's death is a homicide.
11:46To me, he was my protector.
11:57He always tried to tell me, like, I am proud of you.
12:01And I just remember he would call me at least once a week and be like, life's hard, Betty, but you're amazing.
12:08Like, I am so proud of you.
12:12Ugh.
12:12In days when my husband and I are fighting and arguing about something stupid, I would call him and he'd be like, well, this is marriage.
12:21He just always spoke to my heart, and that's what I miss.
12:29Being a mom and a wife's really hard, but...
12:33He made me feel like I could do anything.
12:42Okay, your husband is a victim of a homicide, okay?
13:03So that is why I'm asking a lot of tough questions right now.
13:07And that is why I'm going to ask you for your phone, okay?
13:11So I'm sorry to be the person that has to tell you that.
13:16However, uh, it's sometimes it's just, it's not the fun part of my job, but it's what we do.
13:22She appeared to start crying.
13:34However, Detective John Kinney would notice no tears.
13:39I was extremely suspicious of her at that point.
13:43I can't force you to do anything, okay?
13:56Okay.
13:56Kelly, the reason that I want to ask you these questions
14:17is because I think that you could provide some insight to who did this to him.
14:23You didn't answer anything, Kelly.
14:26Take as many as you need and wait a little more.
14:33I will try.
14:39So, I know you don't want to answer a question about if you've been seeing anyone or doing anything like that.
14:50Eventually, someone says something and we figure out who it is.
14:54So, is there someone?
15:01Do you have to carry your brother?
15:08Do you want a breakup?
15:12Do you want a breakup?
15:13Okay.
15:14So, is this kind of part of the reason for your breakup?
15:19Do you want a breakup?
15:20Mm-hmm.
15:21So, what happened after?
15:22Okay.
15:26It just seemed like she was telling a lot of small lies that she didn't need to.
15:38That raises big red flags when you're investigating a case.
15:41It leads one to think, what else hasn't she been truthful about?
15:45Okay.
15:46It's a hard lie.
15:47It's a hard lie.
15:48It's a hard lie.
15:49It's a hard lie.
15:50Do you know what to answer any more of the follow-up questions that I have?
16:10What's that?
16:12Okay.
16:14All right, well, we can certainly follow up.
16:16We can certainly do that.
16:17I will tell you this, as part of the investigation, I'm going to seize your cell phone.
16:22You can't have it.
16:23All right, we'll be taking it.
16:25And we'll ask her to get us to go around us into it.
16:29She's really apprehensive about Detective Kinney taking her cell phone.
16:33She essentially just shoved it across the table.
16:41There are things that aren't adding up.
16:43We were all wondering if she was, in fact, involved.
16:47It may pan out down the road that Kelly has nothing to do.
17:17But she's raising her hand, saying, look at me as a suspect, and we need to clear her of any wrongdoing.
17:26Carol said that she had been in the house the night before, as she cared for the dog while Randy was at work, but had left prior to Randy coming in.
17:53We were hoping Carol Baker gives us an insight into what happened to Randy Baker.
17:59I'm going to shake your hand, but my name is Mike.
18:03The reason we asked you to come down is, one, we just wanted to check in, let me see how things are going.
18:10But for the most part, it's kind of up.
18:13It's what we've done, quite honestly.
18:16It's all the evening of Tuesday, August 15th.
18:20Do you have any recollection of what time you left the house?
18:24I went over there at 6.30, and I was there five minutes at the most.
18:28I just went in there, got the laundry, put the dog away, and then that was it.
18:31I always helped out with everything, with my brother being sick.
18:35And it's at 6.35, 6.40.
18:38Where did you go from there?
18:39Went over to my aunt's house.
18:41Not very far from there.
18:43Manly handicapped, and I spent the night with her.
18:46Did you see anybody suspicious in the neighborhood?
18:48Did you see any cars?
18:50No.
18:50Okay.
18:51But I was in a hurry to get back, because, you know, I didn't want to leave her too long.
18:57All right.
18:58Did the door stay open while you were in the house?
19:00No.
19:01I'm not positive.
19:03But since I got older, I can't remember things.
19:06Part of this investigation is looking at cell phones, so I'm going to have to take a cell phone.
19:11I'm not sure Kelly told you we took hers for a while.
19:13Yeah.
19:13It's next in line.
19:16Yeah.
19:17Carol was, by all appearances, extremely helpful in answering any questions with law enforcement.
19:23At this point, we have no indication that she was involved.
19:26But let's not turn our backs on anyone.
19:29At this point in time, the entire city of Greeley is a potential suspect.
19:34You got any car?
19:35Yeah.
19:35Yeah.
19:36They learned that both Carol and Kelly deleted their cell phone text history the day that Randy Baker's murdered.
20:03But even if it's deleted, a lot of times things are still on there.
20:09In the coming days, we would recover a lot of cell phone data.
20:12What I'm finding is Carol and Kelly had an extremely close connection.
20:20It was astronomical, the number of text messages exchanged between the two in any given day.
20:29And they would disparage Randy, Carol helped support Kelly's hatred and these two little hens would just bicker about Randy and it was upsetting.
20:44I was struck by a couple of text messages.
20:51Around the end of July, Carol sent a phone number to Kelly.
20:57And that phone number comes back to a person named Kelly Raisley, who goes by the moniker Grizz.
21:03And it turns out Kelly Raisley is Carol Baker's son.
21:07I learned that he had recently ended a prison sentence in Greeley and was out of custody living in the Denver metro area.
21:22There was conversations just outright without hiding his name.
21:26There's comments like, yes, he'll do it.
21:33I promise you he'll do it.
21:35Talks of he'll do it for $10,000 or a Harley Davidson.
21:41There was discussions showing that Grizz was coming up to Greeley to collect the motorcycle after Randy was killed.
21:48There's a ton of evidence pointing towards his involvement in the conspiracy to commit murder.
21:54It appears he was intimately involved in this homicide and Kelly and Carol were behind all this.
22:09I've never seen anything like it where someone's own sister and wife conspire to kill him and get his nephew to do it.
22:18It was huge.
22:23But I was still lacking in certain evidence that Grizz was our actual trigger man.
22:28It was frustrating at that point.
22:47Finding Randy's car was one of the top priorities for the investigation to see where we would go to next.
22:53We tracked those individuals down and spoke with them.
23:15And they revealed to us that a guy named Mark Raisley had given them the car on the night of the murder.
23:24And when they discovered through media accounts that the car was connected to a homicide, they dumped it in the location where we recovered it.
23:31So they looked into them and it turns out Mark Raisley, when you look at his family lines, is Carol Baker's nephew.
23:40It was a big break in the case.
23:48When we learned Mark Raisley had it, we were trying to link, well, how did Mark Raisley get it?
23:53Mark Raisley said that the night of the murder.
24:22Randy's car was parked in front of Carol Baker's house.
24:26And Carol Baker was texting Mark Raisley, get rid of it either on Facebook or at a chop shop.
24:31But you just needed to get rid of the car.
24:34And Mark Raisley said Grizz wanted Randy's car burnt.
24:38I believed him when he said it.
24:40Mark Raisley was helpful in answering any questions.
24:42At this point, I believe Grizz murdered Randy at the direction of Kelly and then took the car to his mom.
24:48And Carol Baker helped get rid of all the evidence.
24:51Now I had to prove this.
24:52Remember Mike, right?
25:17I devised the plan and I created a fake photo array.
25:26In this photo array, her son has been placed in position number two.
25:32We're hoping Carol would think that Kelly Baker came in and said her son did it.
25:37If she felt like Kelly Baker double-crossed her, then she's going to just give up the whole story then and probably blame Kelly Baker more than anyone else.
25:45We went into the interview room and I'm orchestrating this puppet show and unfortunately forgot to turn on the video in the room.
25:55But I had my redundant backup audio recording going the entire time.
26:00So like Chris told you, we wanted to show you a photo array.
26:06We talked with Kelly.
26:08So I want to see if you recognize anyone in this array.
26:12Okay.
26:15My son.
26:31Okay.
26:31And what position is he in?
26:33Two.
26:35Okay.
26:35And what's his name?
26:37Kelly.
26:37So when Carol looks at this array, she sees her son.
26:43She was clearly shocked.
26:44Her eyes grew wider.
26:47Her mouth twitched.
26:50Did you see him at all the day Randy was killed?
26:52No.
26:53He was going to work in Wyoming the last I heard.
26:56What time did he have to get to Wyoming on August 15th?
27:00I don't pay attention to that stuff.
27:02The day Randy died, didn't call you, text you, anything like that?
27:06No.
27:06What's his relationship with Randy?
27:10Nephew.
27:11But I mean, what's it like?
27:13They were really close.
27:15I mean, his whole life, Randy was his idol.
27:18Did he come to the funeral?
27:19No.
27:20I don't even know if he knows it.
27:22Oh, really?
27:23You haven't, you never reached out to him to tell him that a guy he loved died?
27:27I couldn't find him.
27:28You know, there's no number.
27:29I have no number, no nothing.
27:31Okay.
27:31How long had Randy owned that Pontiac, the car?
27:35Quite a while.
27:37Why was it at your house an hour after he died?
27:41It was.
27:43Mm-hmm.
27:43So it would have been, what, 50 minutes, 5-0 minutes after Randy probably died?
27:50No.
27:50Who's Mark Raisley?
27:54My ex's brother's son.
27:57Do you talk to Mark?
27:59Not very often.
28:01Mark Raisley said you texted him the night Randy was murdered and asked him to come pick
28:05up the car and get rid of it.
28:07No.
28:07You didn't tell him, too bad you don't know where a chop shop is.
28:12Now, there's a lot of stuff we know, quite honestly, Carol, so I'm just hoping that you're
28:16telling me the truth instead of being scared and not wanting to tell me the truth.
28:21Did Kelly Raisley come to your house in that car?
28:25She doesn't respond, but she nodded her head.
28:28And now I'm just going to keep throwing the questions as quick as I can to see how far
28:32she'll go.
28:33And so what did he say exactly?
28:35Kelly.
28:35He goes, I took this car, but I don't want it.
28:39Did Kelly tell you that they wanted the car burned?
28:43He might have.
28:45And did you ask him, why do you have Randy's car?
28:48Mm-hmm.
28:49I said, how'd you get this?
28:50Why wouldn't you tell me all this?
28:53Kid.
28:54Your kid?
28:56You know, trying to protect him.
28:57Mama Bear.
28:58I get it.
28:59I've done it for his whole life.
29:01But he killed your brother.
29:02But I didn't know it.
29:04Suspected everything.
29:05And when she started to confess, I just wanted to keep it going for as long as she's willing
29:10to let me to get evidence further implicating Kelly and Grizz and exploiting just how deep
29:18she was in this conspiracy.
29:20Why did you wipe your phone clean?
29:22I don't even know.
29:23You know, the funny thing about cell phones, even though you press delete, a lot of stuff
29:29stays inside of them.
29:31And in Kelly's, Kelly Baker's phone, a lot of the stuff she deleted stayed there.
29:38She's your best friend.
29:41She tells you everything.
29:42You exchanged 4,500 text messages with Kelly Baker from June 1st up to the murder.
29:51She discussed murdering Randy with you.
29:54Why would she do this?
29:57Why would she kill him?
29:58Wait for him to die.
30:01She has been 14 years.
30:04And she just didn't want to wait any longer?
30:08He was unbelievable to live with.
30:10So in July, when she's planning this murder, is she meeting with Kelly Raisley?
30:16Is she?
30:17Not in front of me.
30:20When we were in the room watching it live, one of the other officers looked up and said,
30:24the light's not on.
30:26It's recording sound, but not picture.
30:28So one of the other officers quickly turned on the video.
30:32Who was with Kelly in the house when he murdered Raisley?
30:36Nobody was there.
30:37Just Kelly.
30:39It had to be just Kelly.
30:40Well, you know.
30:41You know.
30:43When we've been talking, you know that they planned this out.
30:46You said that, right?
30:47Mm-hmm.
30:49You didn't shoot your brother?
30:50No.
30:52But how do you know Kelly Raisley was alone in the house when you murdered Randy?
30:57Just was.
30:58Was he in the house, Randy Baker's house, when you left?
31:02No.
31:03He was.
31:04I didn't see him.
31:05You remember one time in a text message you sent to Kelly Baker
31:09that he fantasized about Randy sitting in his home alone
31:12when somebody broke into the house through the back door
31:15and he would just sit there and scream like a little girl?
31:18Remember saying that?
31:19I guess my questions now are kind of, what role did you play in Randy's murder?
31:26When you play a role, when you pass messages from Kelly Raisley to Kelly Baker,
31:49you knew they were planning the murders, right?
31:51I think I need an attorney.
31:59You do?
32:01Okay.
32:03Well, you're under arrest for first-degree murder and conspiracy first-degree murder.
32:07You're going to be processed, transported, to the Well County Jail, booked in.
32:10You have no bond warrant.
32:11You'll be seeing a judge, I would assume, sometime tomorrow.
32:14I had some concerns that Carol might not give up as much information as she did,
32:32but Detective Prill's interview techniques led to her talking
32:36and she gave us a lot of information that helped the case.
32:41When Kelly was transported back to the police department,
32:53I wanted Kelly to actually walk past Carol in the interview room.
32:57We wanted to see what Kelly's reaction would be.
33:00They locked eyes.
33:10They both saw each other and realized now that both of them are in custody for this.
33:15So I'm leaving both sides to believe that the other gave them up.
33:19Now we switch Carol out and put Kelly in the room.
33:28Hi, Kelly.
33:32Spoke with Carol for quite a while.
33:34I advise her of her legal rights just to see if she's willing to talk.
33:38She had two options, give me more lies or confess.
33:42Having these rights in mind, do you wish to speak with me now?
33:46I'm an attorney president.
33:48Okay.
33:49You want an attorney president, as we said, okay.
33:52You're under arrest for a degree murder.
33:54Any conspiracy you commit for a degree murder?
33:57For the murder of Randy Baker, your husband.
33:59I didn't do anything.
34:01Okay.
34:01Well, you prove that court.
34:05I didn't care.
34:07It didn't hurt the case.
34:08Is that it for you?
34:09You don't have anything to say.
34:11See you later.
34:11See you later.
34:41So now we have Kelly Baker, Carol Baker, and Kelly Raisley in custody for this.
34:52But an arrest does by no means halt the investigation.
34:57We are seeking justice, and we continue to collect vast amounts of evidence proving their guilt.
35:03Months later, Kelly Raisley ended up sending me a few letters.
35:19And it's clear, he wants to talk to me and provide information on what happened.
35:26And so we arranged with his attorney that if he tells the truth, the only benefit he would receive is that we would not pursue the death penalty.
35:34He's a big guy.
35:35He's a big guy.
35:45He's a killer.
35:46My concern is this entire setup is a means for him to either attack Chris or I or hoping for a chance to escape.
35:55So I laid out the room in such a way to put barriers up in case that was something he did.
36:02I call you Kelly.
36:02But I'm laid back and casual with him because he asked for this.
36:09It was an opportunity for me to have a lot of unanswered questions finally answered.
36:14Were you approached ultimately and talked about what you get paid for doing this?
36:22Yeah, I mean, it was, uh, I was approached through my mom, but it was via telling me to give you the $10,000.
36:32Okay.
36:32And ran these motorcycles.
36:33And so how do you know specifically that Kelly Baker wanted your help and killer Brandon?
36:40Paraphrasing.
36:41It would be, uh, that she couldn't take it anymore.
36:45That, you know, she basically used her, him or her, and she was willing to do anything.
36:52To kill her.
36:54To get her in here.
37:03He said that he was very, very close to Randy growing up.
37:25He was the only father figure, uh, Grizz ever had.
37:28But these two women convinced him that Randy was abusive.
37:33And then with eerie, almost fascinating detail in this quiet room, Grizz detailed the murder of Randy from start to finish.
37:45How did you get to the Baker house that day?
37:494-1.
37:52Okay.
37:53Did she accompany you into the house?
37:55No.
37:57Did she leave?
37:58Yeah.
37:59What were you going to do?
38:00I was trying to make it look like a suicide.
38:06But I didn't hear the garage door open because it's raining and I summoned my peripheral vision cut.
38:14And what happened?
38:15I got a little .22 in my hand, and just from the feeling the way I was feeling there, and I spun in fire.
38:25You said in the letter, it's important to you to relate, I think.
38:28Do you think through me that whether or not he suffered?
38:31No, he was, when he fell, when he collapsed, he was, I mean, to my knowledge, he was unconscious.
38:39Okay.
38:39My mom became trapped in the middle of whatever she was being said from Kelly, I feel like I got played.
38:51Did these ladies think they were going to get away with this?
38:53Apparently, apparently, yeah.
38:57And then I decided, you know, they were in order to find it, and it actually, and the way I intended it to say it was 13 minutes.
39:07I kind of started to panic a little bit because I think the garage door was open, and so I was like, I'm just going to get out of here.
39:15And so then I took the car over to my mom's, and then she goes, well, how did you do it?
39:24So I didn't know what to tell her.
39:25And I said, you want to f***ing know?
39:26Because I'm, honestly, I'm kind of pissed because I've been putting this in, like, I feel like I'm going to put this f***ing bad spot anyway.
39:34Sure.
39:34And then she says, uh, go around, and then I tell her.
39:39Exactly.
39:41And what's her response to that?
39:43I think I'm going to be sick.
39:46Which, that's why I left pissed off.
39:49You know, she makes a sound like you did something.
39:51You turn me into the animal, but you're the one that's pushing it.
39:54Because I could have just taken G6 and left completely, and just came back from the stolen ride.
40:01And, um, I thought it was more of a, kind of a f***ing year, you're getting your hands dirty.
40:10So you made that decision from the house, and you get your mom involved.
40:16Interesting.
40:19So ultimately, how much were you paid?
40:23I'd say it would have been, uh, 13.
40:26And a bike.
40:27And a bike.
40:30I'd say G6.
40:31Obviously, Griz's confession was massive, but I think every interview, especially in
40:41this case, big or small, produced evidence that was necessary for the ultimate arrest and
40:47conviction.
40:47Kelly Raisley pled guilty to first-degree murder and got sentenced to life without parole.
41:09Carol Baker pled guilty to conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
41:13She received 30 years in prison, and Kelly Baker was made no offer.
41:18We tried her.
41:19She was found guilty of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder,
41:24and is serving life without parole in the prison.
41:26Anybody who could orchestrate another person's death, especially utilizing, uh, somebody's own family member, is, is a psychopath.
41:46I'm thrilled to know that Kelly Baker will never see daylight again as a free person, nor her nephew, and nor will Carol.
41:55Justice has definitely been found in the realm of crime and punishment.
42:03But Randy Baker's daughter woke up this morning without her dad.
42:06So, in that sense, there is no such thing as justice.
42:15But, ultimately, we recovered Randy's motorcycle, and we were able to bring that bike back to Betty.
42:23And that was huge for me.
42:25It was almost like the book was closed.
42:29They were all in prison, but he was coming home with me a little bit.
42:34It's in a garage, and I'll go when I miss him and just sit on it and talk to him.
42:39My youngest was sitting on his motorcycle the other day, and I'm like, God, he would have been so happy to see, like,
42:46one of his grandchildren on his motorcycle just loving life.
42:50And I found, like, peace in it.
42:52Like, Dad, you, like, raised me, and now I'm raising four, almost five other little kids, like,
43:00that might not have got to know you, but they know you.
