00:10Russia launched a massive strike on Ukraine on Saturday night with over 450 drones and
00:1445 missiles, according to Kyiv.
00:17There are at least 2 dead and 12 injured.
00:21Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban has announced that U.S. President Donald Trump
00:25will exempt his country from sanctions for their continued imports of Russian energy.
00:31Washington had previously warned of heavy sanctions for countries who continue to buy
00:36Russian oil and gas, but Orban argued that Hungary was in a unique situation.
00:41We were told that Hungary is in a very important situation from the most European countries.
00:48We asked two positions to make sure to make all sanctions.
00:52Trump agreed to exempt the landlocked European nation from sanctions for one year.
01:11The Hungarian Premier also announced that his meeting with Trump reached a deal on acquiring
01:15U.S. liquefied natural gas, worth around $600 million.
01:21He also shared that they've reached an agreement for Budapest to begin purchasing U.S. nuclear
01:25fuel, as well as boost nuclear energy collaboration.
01:34Russia launched a new massive strike on Ukraine on Saturday night.
01:39President Vladimir Zelensky said Russian troops launched more than 450 drones and 45 missiles in total.
01:43In Dripro, a nine-storey building was partially destroyed, killing three people and injuring 12.
01:55In Kharkiv region, a guided bomb strike on community injured eight people.
02:03The strikes also targeted energy infrastructure, causing a fire at a facility in the Odessa region.
02:09Policy power cuts were introduced in Kyiv and supplies were also hit in the Poltava region.
02:15Vladimir Zelensky expressed condolences to the victims' families and called on the West to increase pressure on Russia.
02:21He said the Russian strikes showed that the pressure should be stronger and called for sanctions on all Russian energy.
02:28Senate Republicans have rejected a Democrat offer to reopen the government as the longest government shutdown in U.S. history nears the 40-day mark.
02:40Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer made the offer to end the shutdown and extend expiring healthcare subsidies for one year.
02:46But Senate Majority Leader John Toome quickly swatted down the offer, calling it a non-stop for up to 10 minutes each.
02:52Republicans reiterated that they would not trade offers on healthcare until the government is reopened.
02:58Toome said he thinks the offer indicates that Democrats are feeling the heat.
03:02With the partisan impasse continuing, lawmakers are feeling increased urgency to reopen the government.
03:09Airlines have been forced to cut more than 1,000 flights, workers remain unpaid, and food aid has been delayed for millions of Americans.
03:17Republicans met on Friday afternoon without reaching a resolution, with one senator saying,
03:22we're back to square one.
03:24The Senate remains in session over the weekend as a small group of moderate Democrats work on a possible compromise.
03:30However, that plan would likely include only a promise of a future healthcare vote, which many Democrats have said is unacceptable.
03:37Gaza health officials said on Saturday that more than 69,000 Palestinians have been killed so far.
03:47The latest jump in death occurred as more bodies were recovered from the rubble since a ceasefire began on October the 10th.
03:54The announcement came as Israel returned the bodies of 15 Palestinians to Gaza a day after Hamas returned the remains of one hostage.
04:02The returned hostage was identified as Leo Rudaif, who was killed in the Hamas-led attack on southern Israel on October the 7th, 2023.
04:12For each Israeli hostage returned, Israel has been releasing the remains of 15 Palestinians.
04:18And since the ceasefire took effect, the remains of 23 hostages have been released, with five still in Gaza, while Israel has handed over 300 Palestinian bodies.
04:28Relief efforts under the pact still fall well short of what is needed, according to the United Nations.
04:34Also on Saturday, Israeli settlers staged two attacks on Palestinian farmers, paramedics and journalists in the occupied West Bank.
