00:26Since Brexit, British travellers have been among the largest groups required to use the new system.
00:33But are those warnings changing the way that Britons travel?
00:36A new YouGov poll found that 75% of Britons had heard reports that EES could lead to longer border
00:43waits.
00:44Among those who had travelled since the system came into force, 36% queued to provide biometric information,
00:5030% experienced longer passport queues, and 37% experienced none of those issues.
00:57Overall, 53% said the system had no impact on their trip.
01:0127% said it increased their travel time, while 19% said it caused stress or anxiety.
01:08Looking ahead, the data suggests most travellers are adapting rather than changing their holiday plans.
01:1464% said they planned to travel to Europe as normal, while 41% said they would simply allow more
01:20time for border checks.
01:22Meaning that while EES is changing the way Britons are preparing for their journeys,
01:26it has done little to reduce the appetite for European trips.
