00:00Hello everybody and welcome to this video where we're gonna dive deeper into the

00:28life of lions and especially the entire Hakuna Mipaka pride

00:46so first of all the Hakuna Mipaka pride consists of six lions we've got Dexter

00:52the current king of the pride then we've got Naila the queen

01:03then we've got Leo the current challenger of the king we've got Snow the huge gentle

01:11giant

01:14and we've got Chiara and Khaleesi the young ladies or if you want to say so the

01:18upcoming queens

01:23now I know they all look huge but keep in mind none of them is a fully grown adult

01:28yet so they still got time to grow in physics but also to position themselves

01:33amongst each other in the pride and this is what is happening exactly right now as

01:39we are speaking so let's look a little bit closer into this all right guys so

01:45let me lead you through the past three to four days where I monitor the lions very

01:50closely throughout the entire day it basically all started on the day of the

01:56reunion like always the lions came up running towards me greeted me in a very

02:01loving way everything was amazing and felt totally normal

02:08but then in the next moment Leo would turn around and show dominance towards Dexter

02:27they ended up in a short fight where of Leo and Snow would walk away after the

02:47fight roar out loud as if it was a victory

02:54but that was not all a few moments later Leo would walk around the entire camp and

03:03mark and spray all the trees and after that he would dominate all the ladies in

03:09the same way Dexter did it back then when he wanted to prove to everybody that he's

03:14the king of the pride

03:25now after this entire scenario Dexter would slowly walk up to me to get some

03:30backup and confirm that we're all good with one another this was crazy

03:35so here's Dexter coming for a little bit of backup but it's not a serious fight

03:41it's just boys amongst each other and this was actually the moment where I

03:47personally realized that something major changed amongst them I honestly wasn't

03:53expecting that Leo would take over the pride so soon but then again two days later I

03:59two days later I was super confused because during the feeding something totally unexpected happened

04:06and if you can't watch graphic content blood or dead animals then don't watch the next few

04:12minutes because we all know that lions they can only survive if they feed off

04:16another animal and this is simply the reality of the circle of life

04:29all right guys now this is super interesting after the reunion yesterday

04:43I personally thought that Leo took over Dexter spot and became the new king

04:48but now I can actually monitor a different behavior

04:52I was expecting to see you doing the patrol walks but you not

05:04that's amazing guys

05:06this feeding session is showing us a completely different behavior of Leo

05:10as we can clearly see here Leo is simply part of the rest of the pride

05:14trying to open up the animals

05:16Wils Dexter is doing his patrol walks which are a task of a king

05:20he doesn't sees it as a duty to open up the animals like the rest of the pride

05:34he's just doing his nonsense around the car

05:37and in the end when the animals are open and the food is ready

05:40that's when he's gonna join

05:42look there

05:44this is the king of the pride

05:51did you guys see that?

05:53he decided to take over this animal

05:56and that's what happened

05:58the king spoke

06:04I know guys this must be brutal for some of you guys

06:07some of you guys find it gross

06:09but fact is

06:10these situations

06:11the feeding sessions

06:12they teach us the most about these animals

06:15and apart from that

06:16it's simply reality

06:17this is just part of nature

06:23so he had his meal for now

06:25he must have filled up his belly

06:27and now it's nose turn

06:33this is incredible guys

06:35I mean I remember when they were way smaller

06:56but now this is a different level

06:58you always like some cuddle sessions

07:19in between eating

07:20don't you?

07:21I know

07:22a lot of people would think

07:29that's so gross

07:30she's dirty

07:31she's bloody

07:32and stuff like that

07:33but honestly

07:34if I would push her away

07:35in such a situation

07:36it would show that I'm not part of it

07:38because they actually enjoy that smell

07:40they actually enjoy such situations

07:42right my girl?

07:52all right guys

08:09all right guys

08:10now this was the first feeding session

08:12after the reunion

08:13we learned a lot

08:14but we still got a lot to learn

08:16all right guys

08:17now this is day number two

08:19after feeding

08:20and as you guys can see

08:22the situation is pretty chilled

08:23and calm amongst them

08:25we saw in the very beginning

08:26when I entered the camp

08:27some dominant behavior

08:29from Leo

08:30towards Dexter

08:31he wouldn't allow him

08:32to come to the front

08:33and greet us immediately

08:35but that was all

08:36no fight so far

08:37and everything is chilled

08:50so my personal conclusion

08:54in this is

08:55that on one side

08:56Leo is definitely

08:57on a big mission

08:58of taking over the pride

09:00but on the other side

09:01we've got Dexter

09:02right over there

09:03who is not willing

09:04to give it away easily

09:06so you guys

09:07gotta keep in mind

09:08that they see each other

09:09as brothers

09:10as one family

09:11and their intention

09:12is not to kill one another

09:14in a fight

09:15in order to take over the pride

09:17this might happen in the wild

09:19when two adults

09:20non-related males

09:21would meet each other

09:22and one wants to take over

09:24the other one's pride

09:25but amongst them

09:26they basically

09:27just want to position themselves

09:29above the other

09:30in order to be able

09:31to rule the pride

09:32so analyzing the past

09:34three days carefully

09:35it is clear to me

09:37that overall

09:38Leo is the more dominant male

09:40amongst them

09:41but we also gotta be fair

09:42he got back up from snow

09:44cause every single time

09:45Leo would pick up a fight

09:47with Dexter

09:48he would get back up from snow

09:50so it's two males

09:51against one

09:52but on the other side

09:53then

09:54often the ladies

09:55they would pop in

09:56and try to calm down

09:57the entire situation

09:58or sometimes

09:59even support Dexter

10:01so at this stage

10:02it's not 100% clear to me

10:04who the entire rest of the pride

10:06is seeing as their king

10:08but when it comes to feeding

10:10we could clearly see

10:11two days ago

10:12that he's still acting

10:13like the ultimate king

10:15in the pride

10:16whilst Leo

10:17is rather following

10:18the steps

10:19and the duties

10:20of the rest of the pride

10:21now my personal opinion

10:23is that this situation

10:24is gonna be an ongoing thing

10:26and only in weeks

10:27or even months

10:28we're gonna see

10:29who's the true king

10:31don't we?

10:32but I'm pretty confident

10:34to say that

10:35even though Leo

10:36is a tough challenger

10:37Dexter

10:38is still standing his ground

10:39as the king of the pride
