00:00Let's say hello to Jackie!
00:30Hey guys, hey guys!
00:42What's up you beautiful people?
00:44Alright, the time has come where I decided to start vlogging again.
00:49Four years ago I did my last vlog, over 20 million views, that means you guys loved it.
00:54And because I extended the content creator team here at the Akurumi Park Oasis,
00:58I decided to start vlogging again and take you guys with me into my day-to-day adventures.
01:04First of all, you guys can see I haven't done nothing with my hair in a while.
01:08So first of all, I gotta do a haircut and then we're gonna dedicate some time to the animals.
01:13Alright, so welcome to the Hakuna Mipaka Barbershop.
01:16That's the setup, I still gotta get the mirror out here.
01:19We've got the monkeys cheering me on, whilst cutting my hair.
01:23And yeah, let's do what needs to be done.
01:28And here we go, here we go with a fresh haircut.
01:40The monkeys have helped me a lot.
01:42Hey little boy!
01:44What's up?
01:46Whilst I was cutting my hair, the dog spotted an animal down there in the pond.
01:52Can you guys see her?
01:56There she is!
02:00Here we go!
02:02So I have to actually hold her like this, because she has really sharp claws and they can actually hurt you.
02:10If she tries to run away whilst I'm holding her, let's put her back into the wild.
02:15Now this is already much more water here.
02:18She'll definitely enjoy this one much more than the one up there.
02:21Let's give her her new freedom!
02:24That's how easy you can make a turtle's life better.
02:40What a great start for a vlog, right?
02:42Good morning and happy Sunday everyone!
02:46I hope you guys are doing well.
02:47So today I'm going to start off my day with feeding the meerkats.
02:51How do we feed them?
02:53This forms a very important part of their food.
02:57So what we are doing, because the mealworms are low in calcium, we add...
03:02Can you guys see that?
03:04Some calcium to that.
03:07So we make sure that the meerkats got a good bone structure too.
03:13They also get fruits and veggies and all other important things.
03:18So the worms, I pour them around inside of these steel structures.
03:25Because you're going to see it at any moment.
03:27In this huge big tree here above me, there's a lot of birds.
03:32And especially the big birds, the Zazu's, the hornbills.
03:35Do you know Zazu from Lion King?
03:38So we have a lot of these guys here.
03:40And they always try to steal their worms when we feed them.
03:43That is Eli.
03:44Coming here to say hello.
03:54What is that?
03:56What is that?
03:57No, no, no.
03:58What is that?
04:00Did he make it dirty now?
04:03Why did you do that, bro?
04:05Now I have to clean it.
04:10What a pity.
04:11As I wanted to go out, Elliot came to me and I...
04:15What are you doing here, Eli?
04:20What are you doing?
04:22And I gave her a little pet and then Lina came and I was like, okay, that's gonna be fine.
04:28Nothing's fine.
04:30She just bit me.
04:31And I didn't catch it on camera because it turned the camera off too early.
04:35But anyways, it is what it is.
04:40And let's say hello to Jackie.
04:44What's up?
04:46Did you eat over the past couple of days?
04:48I can actually smell when she ate.
04:50Because it smells like rotten meat.
04:54And she got a...
04:55Or he got a big belly.
04:57It's actually him.
04:58I don't know.
04:59Those ones who follow me for a while, they know his story.
05:01The first, I think, one and a half, two and a half years, we thought it's a female.
05:07Both of them, they have a penis.
05:09And you call the female penis a pseudopenis.
05:12And yeah, through a blood test, we then finally found out that it's actually me.
05:17But it actually didn't change anything in my love to him.
05:21And he can now smell the dogs.
05:23He can smell the meerkats most probably.
05:25Meerkats make a good snack for them in the wild.
05:29You have so much dried up blood in your fur.
05:34So it's very important to first let him just receive and absorb all the scents which are on me.
05:46Can you guys remember before I showed you that Lina bit me?
05:50And there is some blood.
05:52And a lot of people keep on asking if Chucky or the lions or another predator is smelling my blood.
05:58If they don't get aggressive or so, I can basically see.
06:04He definitely smells it.
06:05He knows there is blood.
06:07But he's not really interested in picking up fights or it does not even activate his, you know, his wild instinct.
06:16And last but not least, let's say hello to the Chica brothers.
06:21Good job, my boy.
06:22Good job, my boy.
06:23Good job, my boy.
06:24Good job, my boy.
06:29Quick checkup on all the animals on a Sunday morning.
06:34I can't do that every Sunday morning because sometimes I have completely different responsibilities.
06:39But when I can do it, then this is my perfect Sunday.
06:49Let's go and see where his brother is and then I'm gonna have some breakfast.
06:54He's so much bigger.
07:01I don't know if you guys can realize that on camera, but he's much, much bigger, much more playful.
07:07He might gonna grab my leg now any moment or maybe not.
07:12But what I can see, we've got a lot of these fine thorns.
07:19So the drier it gets, the more these thorns start to stick into all the paws and shoes and everything.
07:27We have to redo the whole ground.
07:30But actually not because next week is line movement.
07:33And after the lines, Leo and the ladies have been moved out their camp into the live wild area.
07:40The cheetah brothers are gonna go into the big lion camp.
07:44That's gonna be a super exciting event as well.
07:49Then here we go. Chill bro.
07:52Here we go with the update of the dog family.
07:55Actually, everything remained the same except of a couple of family members more.
08:01And one of them is right over here.
08:03Here is the big boss, Bongo.
08:10And then we've got Liam right next to him.
08:12And then we've got Logan the wolf.
08:16The only wolf living amongst us.
08:18With us inside of the house and outside of the house.
08:22And then we've got Rio.
08:24He is a German Dutch Shepherd.
08:27He's also a new family member.
08:29He's actually the dog of Andy, our farm manager.
08:31But having introduced to you guys all the new members.
08:36I did forget about almost one of the most important ones.
08:41The one who got the biggest spot in my heart.
08:44And I'm gonna call her right now.
08:46Lucky! Lucky! Come here my girl!
08:50I actually didn't say Rocky, I said Lucky.
08:53But Rocky also needs some love.
09:01Hello my girl!
09:02Look who's coming there!
09:05Yo my girl!
09:06So Lucky is basically like my shadow.
09:16What's up everyone?
09:21Alright, the weekend is over.
09:22The week has started.
09:23And we have a busy week ahead of us.
09:26But I want to start that whole thing with the monkey family.
09:29Because we've got some news there.
09:31You guys, let me try to get in first.
09:34And I'm not sure if it's gonna work.
09:36Because they're gonna fiddle around with the camera.
09:38But let's see what happens.
09:41So, the big news is we've got two new family members.
09:44Aisha.
09:45And right down here.
09:46Lupita.
09:47That's the younger monkeys.
09:49They're two females.
09:51We got them because we wanted to extend the Capuchin family.
09:54They live in big families.
09:55Up to 30, 40 individuals.
09:57And they live for 30 years.
09:59That's pretty crazy.
10:00And we were thinking about,
10:01Okay, what if JJ or Momo something happens to them along the way in the next 30 years?
10:06That could happen.
10:07Natural cause or so.
10:08And then one would remain alone.
10:10And that monkey will most probably get the prize.
10:13Depressive then.
10:14And hurt himself.
10:15And that would be a disaster for us.
10:16That's why we said in order to provide them life as natural as possible.
10:21We want to get them some more family members.
10:24And that's Lupita and Aisha.
10:26So, okay.
10:27I got the information out.
10:28And as we're talking about that.
10:30I want to update you guys about the monkey dome.
10:32Cause this is their current environment.
10:34Which is rather, I would call it a cage with an inside area.
10:38It is a nice cage, but it's not natural enough.
10:41So what I'm busy doing right now is building a monkey dome.
10:45That is a huge natural environment.
10:47It's still captivity though.
10:48I mean, they're not native to South Africa.
10:50They won't survive out here in the wild.
10:52So that's why I can't release them out into the wild.
10:55But I can give them an environment as natural as possible.
10:59Here on the Hakunami Park Oasis.
11:01And that's what I'm going to show you guys right now.
11:04Wow!
11:05And we made it out of there.
11:07The monkeys are super fun.
11:09But you guys felt that monkey energy with me right now.
11:12And this is the exact reason why they need a much, much bigger home.
11:16And more natural environment.
11:17To just strive and be happy.
11:19And this is what we're making right now behind me.
11:22Since one year, we're busy with the monkey dome.
11:25Which is located on 3,000 square meters.
11:28It's going to be 7.5 meters high.
11:30And it's going to have a lot of natural environments.
11:32And I want to just give you guys a quick update on where we are standing.
11:35Okay, the leaves are falling down in my face.
11:38No worries.
11:39Yeah, we've got a foundation.
11:41As you guys can see here.
11:42That is the main foundation on which the whole steel structure is going to be built on.
11:47We've got a lot of trees.
11:49As you guys can see here in the back.
11:50High trees.
11:51Trees as high as they have never been able to climb so far.
11:55Then what we also did.
11:57We have a water pond.
11:58A self-made water pond.
12:00Which is going to serve for drinking.
12:03But as well for cleaning.
12:04And of course, for having fun.
12:06Look at this thing.
12:08Pretty beautiful, isn't it?
12:10And the actually most important part of the entire monkey dome.
12:14Is going to be this construction here in the back.
12:17This is going to be the overnight quarter and the inside area.
12:21And this is going to be used mostly in winter time during the night.
12:25As I mentioned before, capuchin monkeys, they're not native to South Africa.
12:29They come from the rainforest in the Amazon.
12:31So the climate there is completely different.
12:34Now in order to keep them healthy and happy.
12:37We needed to build a setup here with heating control.
12:41Meaning temperature control.
12:43Moist control.
12:44That we have enough moist in the air.
12:46In order to be able to simulate the climate from the Amazon rainforest.
12:51And if we achieve to do that.
12:52Whenever they feel uncomfortable or too cold outside here.
12:56In the outside area.
12:57They have always the opportunity to go inside here.
13:00To feel protected, warm and just at home.
13:03And that is the basically entire concept of the monkey dome.
13:08And of course, I need you guys support to donate for that.
13:11Because well, first of all, it's a huge project.
13:14We can't finance it ourselves.
13:16And secondly, when we started with it.
13:18Our contractor did a complete miscalculation.
13:21I'm going to do a video specifically about that as well.
13:24So that you guys can transparently see what's going on actually.
13:27But this thing costs me a lot more than I thought it would.
13:31It costs us around 1 million Rand.
13:33Which is roughly 50,000 US dollars.
13:36But if we got the money together.
13:38We can finalize this project.
13:39And we can give all the monkeys a brand new.
13:42Beautiful, lifelong and natural home.
13:45All right.
13:46That was pretty eventful for today.
13:48So as you guys can see there is smoke.
13:51I don't know if you guys can see it.
13:52There is smoke coming out of the...
13:54I don't know the English word for that.
13:56But we lit up a fire.
13:57We're going to have a barbecue.
13:59And before I'm going to join the barbecue.
14:02I have to go and do a workout.
14:12So we will take the fish.
14:13So let's move on from our own you.
14:17And here put all the roars of the occupy.
14:35okay but before we start with the lions I want to show you our new family members in the pig
14:46family okay so this is mommy I think I'm not sure how far you guys on YouTube are informed about the
14:52other pigs I think you guys only know Pumba from back in the days he's still living with them as
14:58well maybe even around somewhere we're gonna look for him quickly but Pumba was always like the
15:04mayor of the Hakunami Park Oasis and then we got Molo and Mami that's the two wild pigs because
15:12Pumba is a pot belly pig and they had babies they started reproducing we did castrate and spy them
15:17all so they cannot reproduce anymore because they got too many babies too quickly and with the time
15:24it would have gotten irresponsible but for now they are quite a big family so the thing with this
15:30little mini pig right there you can see is much much smaller like the other ones and he's also
15:35much more like a dog the reason oh that's the daddy that's daddy coming to say hello hello my big boy how
15:42is your family doing are you taking care of them yeah good boy so yeah and the little one he didn't
15:52got any milk compared to the others and so we had to hand raise the little one and because of that he's
16:00super cool with all humans actually actually all of them are cool cool with us humans because they we
16:05still feed them we take care of them but the other ones are more wildish whilst Molo his wife mommy
16:12and the mini pig there they're okay anyways they are um super cool with us humans and they just live
16:21freely and wildly here on the Hakuna Wimpakos that's the best part of it all right guys it is the big
16:34day today it is morning I already had my morning run yesterday we split the lines the vets have arrived
16:40we have discussed all the plans and now we going into action we're gonna go now and dart the lines
16:45and then do the entire movement see you right there
17:10so
17:17so
17:19so
17:212.
17:233.
17:254.
17:275.
17:296.
17:316.
17:337.
17:358.
17:379.
17:3910.

17:4311.
17:4511.
17:4712.

17:5012.
17:51what's up everyone hope you guys are doing well so i'm here with nyla and the ladies
17:58and it's feeding time you know my girl is excited hello girlies and yeah i thought i'm
18:06going to take you guys with me um into that feeding session because it's going to be a little
18:11bit more complicated we're going to feed everyone separate for now because we don't know the actual
18:15dynamics when they all will be together and this is why i thought we're going to start off with
18:20the ladies then go over to the boys i'm going to lead you through that whole thing and then i hope
18:25you guys are going to have fun with it all right so they do smell the meat you can clearly see it in
18:31their body language and they're hungry so we're going to go out and we're going to place the meat
18:36in this management camp behind us everyone here is going to help us of the team akuna mipaka
18:42and uh yeah and then we're going to see how they react to the food
18:46we need one more helping hand yeah you can help us all right so
19:15so the food is placed we've got one big piece for two maybe karen khaleesi and then one for nyla
19:24well they will anyways distributed themselves the way they want it and so the ladies are sorted and
19:30now we get a quick look at them how they're going to enjoy it and then we're going to head over to the
19:35boys
19:35and as i predicted karen khaleesi got the shared piece and nyla got her own one
19:52so
19:59so
20:02so
20:05me
20:09Okay.
20:31Okay.
20:33Whoa!
20:39Yes, get fun now.
21:01All right, now the plan is Leo, we want to feed him close to the management camp
21:07of Dexter and Snow, because ideally we want to put all the three of them into that management camp
21:14so that we can let the ladies out and have just a walk with the ladies without being bothered by
21:18the boys, because they are in a very good mood currently. But Leo does not want to leave the
21:22fence of the ladies' management camp. So what we did now, we have food in the back of this bucky,
21:28we opened up the back of the bucky, we drove in, ideally he can smell and see the food, will follow
21:34us along the fence towards the other side of the Le Wilde area and can enjoy his food then there.
21:41So we can make him used to get food in that other corner and not in this corner.
21:46I don't even have a clue where he actually is. Leo!
21:58All right, so we're gonna drive one more time to the ladies, we didn't find him now.
22:03And if we don't find him at all, we're just gonna drop the food here and he will find it overnight,
22:08most probably, and tomorrow we'll check up on it if it's gone. He found it, if it's not gone,
22:13he hasn't eaten yet and he's somewhere in the Le Wilde.
22:15All right, let's put him easy.
22:28All right, it's a spark.
22:30All right.
22:32All right.
22:34All right.
22:40This was the feeding session. It didn't went the way we expected. At least the ladies got their
22:53food, Dexter and Snow got his food and Leo, we didn't find him. What a pity. But on the other
22:59side, it's actually a pretty cool thing. If you think that we were driving through that whole area
23:03with a dead animal in the back and there is somewhere a lion and we can't find him. That
23:08actually speaks for itself how humangous this place is. But anyways, that was my first vlog in
23:14four years again. We're gonna continue with that. I hope you guys enjoyed it and definitely see you on
23:19the next adventure.
