00:00Ashton Bingham
00:10My name is Ashton Bingham.
00:11About 10 years ago, I received a call from a scammer,
00:14and I got annoyed, so I decided to film it.
00:16You can't think of something more convincing
00:22than for me to pay off my IRS debt with a Target gift card.
00:25And the video blew up.
00:27That's when I turned to my Russian friend Art Kulik,
00:29and I said, hey, let's turn this into a business
00:31and start a YouTube channel tormenting scammers.
00:34And I said, tormenting scammers?
00:36That sounds fun. Sign me up.
00:39Here we go. Refreshing.
00:41Yeah!
00:43So we amassed millions of subscribers
00:45and devoted our lives to turning the tables on scammers everywhere.
00:49What are you looking for here?
00:50Why are you running if you're not doing anything wrong?
00:52No, you're not. We're gonna f***ing go ahead.
00:54Why are you running?
00:55Scammer!
00:56And we've helped shut down some pretty big scam operations.
01:01Then people around the country started reaching out to us
01:04with their own stories of getting scammed.
01:06So how much did they get from you?
01:08Almost $53,000.
01:10Over two.
01:11Over two million.
01:12Yeah.
01:13And the voices of the victims made one thing clear.
01:16We needed help.
01:17Now we've assembled an elite team of technological experts
01:21we call the Revengers
01:23to help us trick scammers into revealing their identities
01:26and catching them red-handed.
01:28Together, we are hunting down scammers.
01:31Whatever they hide.
01:32Unlock it!
01:33And bringing justice to our victims.
01:35Let's go! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!
01:37Let's go! Let's go!
01:38You're in your back.
01:39You will be tased if you don't get down.
01:40What's going on?
01:41Get on your face!
01:42This is Scammed Getting Even.
01:45Yo, you got a minute?
01:57Yeah, what's up?
01:58Dude, I got this new submission in.
02:00$500,000.
02:02No kidding.
02:03We're looking at an investment scam.
02:05What's going on?
02:06There is a new case came in our public submission.
02:09Half a million dollar investment scam.
02:13Jeez.
02:14Dear Ash and Art Trilogy team, I'm reaching out with a heavy heart.
02:17My father Dan has been scammed out of approximately $500,000
02:22in a devastating crypto investment scam.
02:25He came across what he believed was a legitimate investment opportunity.
02:28Scammers had him convinced it was all real
02:30and put everything he had into it.
02:32His savings, his future, his hope.
02:34Now it's all gone.
02:36I'm heartbroken, but I am hoping he might be able to help us.
02:40He knows I'm reaching out and he is open to being contacted.
02:43This case is brutal.
02:47Half a million dollars is a crap load of money.
02:50And making it even more complicated, this is a cryptocurrency scam.
02:54Crypto is a digital currency.
02:56It exists only online and it's still relatively new.
03:00It's the wild west of scams for anybody looking to steal money.
03:04Crypto scammers will create fake investment opportunities to prey on their victims.
03:09And since crypto is a complex, modern financial technology,
03:12these kinds of scammers are the most technologically savvy criminals we face, hands down.
03:18That's a life-ruining amount of money.
03:21Half a million.
03:22Well, thankfully he's got his daughter.
03:24We gotta talk to them both.
03:25Hello guys.
03:26Hello.
03:27So good to meet you guys.
03:28Pleasure to meet you.
03:29Thank you for sharing your story.
03:30What started this situation and what led you to us?
03:31I've been a fan of you guys for many years.
03:32My name's Elena and this is my dad, Dan.
03:36We live in Ontario, Canada.
03:38It was a year, almost two years.
03:41I was looking at a way to make a few extra bucks to retire a little bit.
03:44I thought, well, if I can invest in the Bitcoin, you know, maybe I can make enough to make it through nicely.
04:05So we started and then it just got more and more money and it just got ridiculous.
04:11You know, how did you link up with this person and how did that transpire?
04:16It was on Facebook.
04:18They have the advertising there of investing.
04:22What does this guy call himself?
04:24Chris Schultz.
04:25Of course, it's very unlikely that Chris Schultz is his real name.
04:29It's most likely a fake persona to help gain our victim's trust.
04:33When you spoke to him, did he claim that he's here in America?
04:42No, he always told me he was here in the UK.
04:50On day one, he has you send money how?
04:53To the banks.
04:54Like wire transfers?
04:55Yes.
04:56And the money machine.
04:57The Bitcoin machine.
04:58The Bitcoin machine.
04:59Our scammer not only got Dan to wire money from his bank, but sent cash from a money machine or crypto ATM.
05:07Not a lot of people know what that even is.
05:10It's like ATM, but you can only send money, not receive it, which a lot of people think sketchy.
05:16The fact that he was able to groom Dan, teach him about crypto and convince him to wire and send cash.
05:23It's proof to me that he is a professional.
05:25You believe your money is being invested.
05:27You're seeing the money grow, right?
05:29How are you seeing this?
05:30How is he showing you the progress?
05:32I have the app on my phone.
05:34And what's the app?
05:39Okay.
05:40That looks like a, is it a website or is it an actual app on your phone?
05:43I think it's a website. Yeah.
05:46And so you're able to log in there and he can manipulate it inside and show you, right?
05:50That you're gaining or losing and that's okay.
05:54This elaborate website portal confirms what we suspected.
05:57This scammer is a full on tech maven, but he also seems to be a master manipulator.
06:03He built this entire system to convince Dan and probably other victims, his millions were real.
06:10Elena, you were the one that originally reached out.
06:13Tell us your experience.
06:15He came to visit me in the hospital after giving birth to my youngest son on May 9th, 2024.
06:22And he explained that he's investing in crypto and right away alarm bells were going off for me.
06:29Unfortunately, didn't want to listen.
06:33And then I didn't talk about it again until he showed up at my house saying,
06:41Oh, I'm going to get my investment tomorrow.
06:44Sure enough, the phone call never came.
06:47And that's when he confessed that he knew that he was scammed.
06:51I was supposed to get 2 million out in American.
07:03And then he calls for me and says, Oh, I have to come up with 200,000 and put in your metallic oil to warm it up to get that out.
07:12Well, right then I knew right then I was, it was bullshit.
07:24Have you cut off contact?
07:25I was still in contact.
07:27Oh, what about a month ago, maybe?
07:30What's the grand total net loss here for this whole thing?
07:33Well, it's definitely a half a million dollars.
07:37Wow.
07:38So half a million dollars equals somewhere between four and five Bitcoin.
07:43For those who don't know, Bitcoin is the highest valued cryptocurrency, roughly $113,000 per coin.
07:51To buy into it is common, but to do it through Facebook, that's a red flag.
07:56Wow.
07:57Okay.
07:58The fact that you still have contact with these people and the fact that there's a banking portal we can log into, that's huge.
08:04We're going to do absolutely everything we can to get to the bottom of this.
08:06If that's okay with you, I think we should jump on a plane like immediately.
08:09Thank you so much.
08:11I really didn't know what else to do or who to reach out to.
08:16This is all super surreal and crazy.
08:19Oh, I just, I can't wait to see him go down.
08:22Stay strong.
08:23Bye guys.
08:24We're going to talk soon.
08:27Wow.
08:28This scammer is invested.
08:31No pun intended.
08:32Like he's putting enough effort to make an interactive app that he can manage and show his money growth is insane.
08:39That is so sinister.
08:41This case is one of the most advanced we have ever seen.
08:44We have a lot of questions to say the least.
08:46The biggest, who is this person calling himself Chris Schultz?
08:50The only good news, he did give us the lead.
08:53The website.
08:57I want to see if that site is still up.
08:59But what happens so often is when these scammers make these websites, by the time we get involved, they're not even up.
09:03So I want to go to this website.
09:05But we can't let the scammer see we're logging on because he could track us.
09:09Thankfully, we're equipped with Surfshark VPN.
09:12It will allow us to enter through a virtual server and we can use a rotating IP address to mask our location when visiting the site.
09:20I'm already connected on my dedicated IP here in Los Angeles, but I'm going to change my location to Canada.
09:26Our IP is masked.
09:27Click on website.
09:28Let's go.
09:29Client dash clients dot clients dash revival.
09:34And sure enough, it is still up.
09:36Revival dash X.
09:39Interesting.
09:40The fact that the website Dan was given to monitor his investment is still active is huge.
09:46That open door could be the big lead we need to start tracking this guy down.
09:56Canada.
09:57Yeah.
09:58Paris sound.
09:59So going to meet Alona and her husband and kids.
10:05And one of the kids name is Art.
10:07No way.
10:20Almost the same height.
10:22So much for coming.
10:23Yeah, no, absolutely.
10:24Jeff.
10:25Nice to meet you.
10:26Jeff.
10:27Art.
10:28Nice to meet you.
10:29And this is Art.
10:30And this is Art.
10:31What did I tell you?
10:32They have kids.
10:33Art.
10:34Art from Art.
10:35Art.
10:36From Art to Art.
10:37Whenever we get a case, it always becomes a bit more real when you meet the victims or
10:41their families face to face.
10:43Our goal here is to make sure Alena feels supported and to learn as much about her dad Dan as possible.
10:50And we need to gather as much intel as we can to determine the best way to bait this camera.
10:59How have you been doing just with all things considered?
11:01Better since you guys have been involved, honestly.
11:04It's just been so heavy.
11:06Feeling like there's nothing I can do.
11:08And then now having you guys and knowing that there's something being done.
11:12That there's hope.
11:13Yeah, that there's hope.
11:14Tell us about Dan.
11:16Dan is an awesome guy.
11:19He never meets a stranger.
11:21Like, he makes friends so easily.
11:23Like, everybody in town knows him.
11:25He has four kids.
11:26It wasn't always easy for us, but he was always there for me.
11:30And now he's like my best friend.
11:32It looks like your dad has a big heart.
11:35For sure.
11:36He was so excited to help his family.
11:39Like, he wanted to pay off our mortgage here and buy my other siblings' houses.
11:44And it was really sad.
11:47The scammer was really personal with him.
11:50Did you hear the voice of the scammer?
11:52Yes, yes.
11:53You did?
11:54Yeah.
11:55Like, did he record a call and play it for you?
11:56Yes.
11:57How are you?
11:58I'm doing good, are you?
11:59Acting like his best friend.
12:03Your result is fucking phenomenal.
12:05Oh, yeah.
12:06That's why I'm freaking trying myself here now.
12:09Did you remember any numbers or any representation of what Dan believed he was going to get?
12:14I'm pretty sure it said he had $12 million.
12:18I remember him saying that he was receiving $5,000 a month or whatever.
12:24He's actually received money from Chris Schultz.
12:26Yeah.
12:27Multiple payments, yeah.
12:30It's very unique and it points to a massive scam operation.
12:34Because no piss-poor scammer working out of his bathroom is going to have that kind of money to just use to show good faith.
12:42Dan invested $500,000 and the scammer had him thinking he was actually earning money upwards of $12 million?
12:50Yeah, but that number is also fake.
12:52The bigger reveal to me is that Chris, the scammer, was actually sending Dan $5,000 a month to keep him hooked.
12:59Now, that was Dan's own money that the scammer was sending back to Dan.
13:03And quite frankly, these are the kinds of scammers that can fully evade capture from even the best investigators.
13:09Did you guys file any police report?
13:12Yes, he did report it to the police, yes.
13:15Was he given any kind of suggestions or direction or anything at all?
13:19No.
13:21Well...
13:22We're going to need to see if we can get our law enforcement partners and our team of revengers involved as soon as possible.
13:29How has your dad been dealing with this?
13:32He just feels a lot of shame and embarrassment.
13:36Really?
13:37Just feeling really depressed, not wanting to get out of bed.
13:39Basically threatening suicide.
13:41He's like, oh, if this is a scam, like, I might as well just shoot myself.
13:45And he said that to you?
13:47Mm-hmm.
13:48Yep, he said that right to my face.
13:51Sorry.
13:52No, no, are you okay?
13:53Take your turn.
13:54I just basically said it a Hail Mary and prayed that you guys would reach back out to me because you're like our only hope.
14:02We're going to do whatever it takes to bring this person to justice.
14:05Thank you guys so much.
14:12This story is so heartbreaking.
14:14The scammer took half a million dollars.
14:17Jim, it's perfect for this.
14:19We've got to get him on the call.
14:21We don't pretend to solve every case ourselves.
14:24And this one is far too technologically complex for us to tackle alone.
14:28It's time to bring in one of our revengers.
14:31The godfather of scam baiting.
14:33A mystery man who uses the alias Jim Browning.
14:40Hello?
14:41Hello, Annette.
14:42You are being scammed.
14:43Please, please, please do not send cash to anyone.
14:48He's not a detective, but an investigative genius.
14:52A tech engineer turned master sleuth.
14:55Responsible for busting hundreds of cyber criminals and preventing the loss of millions
15:00by hacking into scammers' hardware to infiltrate from the inside.
15:05Are you in San Jose or not?
15:07Definitely, sir.
15:08Okay.
15:09Can you name me one restaurant in San Jose?
15:11You've gone very quiet.
15:12Why would that be?
15:13How can you define me that I'm a scammer?
15:15Well, you've been lying to me the whole time.
15:18Despite the critical acclaim, only few know his real identity.
15:25Jim!
15:26What's up, brother?
15:27Hello.
15:28Good to see you again.
15:29Yeah.
15:30Jim, we in Canada and we have gigantic case for you.
15:34We're working with a victim.
15:35His name is Dan.
15:36Dan has lost half a million dollars to a crypto investment scam.
15:39Oh, my goodness.
15:40Working theory is that he was contacted on Facebook.
15:43Like one of those promotion things, like fake companies ads.
15:47Yeah.
15:48But it's a man that claims to be named Chris Schultz, that claims to be in the UK and claims
15:52to be able to make him millions of dollars.
15:55There's, I guess, like a fake banking portal that he's able to log into and like see the
15:59growth of the funds or whatever.
16:01So it's all fake.
16:02That's really sad.
16:03The other thing about this scam is that the scammer has sent Dan money back in the amount
16:08of like four or five thousand dollars, probably just to keep his hook in him.
16:12But it's also not something we see every day.
16:14We'll send you his website portal to start looking into.
16:17You're up against professional scammers and I can do my usual tricks and maybe get back
16:22to his computer.
16:23As always, no guarantees with this because it's really difficult, but we can piece all
16:29of those transactions together, proving that those transactions were the result of a crime
16:35and hopefully even expose the organization itself and hopefully even find out where exactly
16:41this guy is from.
16:42Thank you, brother.
16:43Yes.
16:44I don't doubt it when Jim says there's no guarantees.
16:53Tracing stolen money across the internet is complicated business.
16:56So Jim is going to have his work cut out for him.
16:59Hopefully he can pull something off.
17:01Let's go see Dan.
17:02Yeah.
17:03Let's sit down with him.
17:04Let's bring him hope.
17:05Let's go.
17:07At this point in our investigation, we need to understand how Dan was manipulated and report
17:13any findings back to Jim.
17:14Let's go, brother.
17:15Hey.
17:16Hey.
17:17Hey, dogs.
17:18What's up, guys?
17:19Oh.
17:20This is my brother, Dawson.
17:21Dawson, you?
17:22Hey.
17:23Hello, everybody.
17:24Art, nice to meet you.
17:25Nice to meet you.
17:26Dawson.
17:27Ashton.
17:28Hello.
17:29Thank you so much for having us.
17:34I know this is not an easy thing to relive.
17:38As best as you can remember, how did it work out to where he ended up sending you
17:43money?
17:44When I got the second mortgage.
17:47Did Dan just say he took out a second mortgage to put into Chris's investment?
17:52I think he did.
17:53This is terrible.
17:54Okay, so to refinance the house and get another big sum of money to send in.
18:11Right.
18:12That was all under his instruction?
18:13And that was $425,000.
18:14I wrestled with it because I didn't want to do it.
18:15And on top of that, I was fixing my house.
18:16I'm making two units in it that I can rent.
18:17Right.
18:18And this was back when you thought you were going to get all this money, right?
18:19Yes.
18:20Right.
18:21So this has put a stop to that as well.
18:22Yeah.
18:23It's not livable right now, for sure.
18:24So not only did Chris convince Dan to get a second mortgage on his home, but Dan was
18:29also in the middle of renovating his home.
18:30So now he doesn't even have the option of renting it or selling it.
18:33This is just going from bad to worse.
18:36I'm screwed.
18:37I'm totally screwed.
18:38The only chance I have is if I can get the house back when you thought you were going
18:41to get all this money back when you thought you were going to get all this money, right?
18:43So this has put a stop to that as well.
18:44Yeah.
18:45It's not livable right now, for sure.
18:46But Dan doesn't even have the option of renting it or selling it.
18:49This is just going from bad to worse.
18:53I'm screwed.
18:54I'm totally screwed.
18:55The only chance I have is if I can get the house livable fast.
19:02Would you want to rent it out or are you trying to sell it?
19:04I could rent it out in a heartbeat.
19:05Yeah.
19:06Then I can make it.
19:07So $100,000, you could probably get the house ready to rent?
19:10Probably maybe even a little bit less than that.
19:12At this point, Dan is just trying to survive financially.
19:15And the only way to do that is to finish this renovation and rent a unit out.
19:19The problem is the second mortgage payments are so high that he doesn't have the funds
19:24to finish the renovation.
19:26He's stuck.
19:28$4,500 a month interest alone.
19:32I struggled to make the payment today.
19:36So my next payment, I don't know where it's coming from.
19:39That's why he was sending me that money is to pay that.
19:42Wow.
19:43I can see why.
19:44It's because I got four or five other people in it.
19:47So he's keeping everybody happy.
19:48Yeah.
19:49Yeah.
19:50How did that start?
19:51I think it was my idea.
19:52So you call your friends and what did you tell them?
19:56I just show them what I got.
19:57Wanted to share the love a little bit?
19:59Yeah, definitely.
20:00It doesn't end.
20:02Never in my life have I wanted to catch a scammer so bad.
20:05How much in total dollar amount have the other friends that you brought in lost to Chris Schultz?
20:11I think it's over two.
20:12Over two.
20:13Over two millions just from them.
20:14Plus you.
20:15Plus me.
20:18Yeah, he ripped this community apart.
20:20Yeah.
20:21He did.
20:22And he's still doing it.
20:23Yeah.
20:24It's devastating.
20:25It's horrible.
20:26Yeah, it was brutal.
20:31We're going to do everything we can.
20:32Everything.
20:33Seriously.
20:34Everything we can.
20:35I sure appreciate it.
20:36To help you expose this guy.
20:37To help you recover.
20:38To help you pick up the pieces.
20:40Need some patience and some faith.
20:41But we're not going to give up.
20:42All right?
20:43Oh my God.
20:44He's actually got a mountain in front of him with this debt and these payments that he
20:59has to make on interest.
21:01Five grand a month on interest.
21:04How can we save him?
21:05How can we make this man to save his house?
21:08I want to do a.
21:09Yeah.
21:10We will.
21:11Anything.
21:12This scammer has absolutely gutted Dan of nearly everything.
21:16And with these crypto scams, the transactions are instant and irreversible.
21:20Meaning the chance of him getting any of that money back is next to none.
21:24I just hope we can help him recoup something.
21:27For now, let's check in with Jim and see how the case is moving.
21:31Hey brother.
21:32Jim, I know we passed you the website to see what you could find out.
21:35You got anything?
21:36Absolutely.
21:37The website is completely fake, obviously.
21:39I'm currently tracking 12 different PCs that I can see at the minute.
21:44Although he may sound from the UK, my suspicion is Eastern Europe.
21:49Not only did Jim start to pinpoint a location somewhere in Eastern Europe, but he's seeing 12 different computers all sharing one internet connection.
21:58Which means there's very likely 12 different people all working this scam.
22:03Next step.
22:04We need Jim to infiltrate their system by acting like a client to hopefully dredge up an exact address.
22:12If you can set me up as another investor.
22:16You're probably another local friend of his that wants to invest and probably doesn't know anything about crypto and just needs the guidance.
22:24Yeah.
22:25Here's the plan.
22:26First, Jim, going by the name Fred Baker, contacts scammer Chris Schultz posing as one of Dan's friends.
22:39Next, Jim makes phone contact with Chris directly.
22:43Hello.
22:44Hey, good day, Fred.
22:46Hi, Chris.
22:47How are you?
22:48Yeah, doing busy.
22:49Already?
22:50Okay.
22:51So I simply want to understand what are you looking for?
22:55What are the goals?
22:56And positions himself as a new lucrative target for Chris.
23:00Honestly, I probably will retire soon.
23:03And I would like to kind of build up what I've saved a bit.
23:07How old are you?
23:08What's your age?
23:09Oh, I've just turned 70.
23:11Okay, perfect.
23:13The goal here is to build enough trust so that Jim can eventually use his tech wizardry to hack Chris's scam operations.
23:21Okay, so tomorrow we will do the setting up of the platform.
23:25And then we can talk about the numbers and your brain is going to be blown away.
23:30Bottom line.
23:31Okay.
23:32Take care. Enjoy your day.
23:33Okay. Bye-bye.
23:38While we wait for Jim, aka Fred, to work his magic,
23:42we're going to meet with Dan's friends who were also scammed.
23:46We need to see what additional intel they can provide to help us build a case.
23:51Thank you for being here.
23:53Wish we were here on better circumstances.
23:55Glenn, Steve, one of you, please walk us through what happened and how you are involved.
24:01I know Dan through my son.
24:03My son originally started doing some, just some small investments online.
24:07And Dan was like, oh, you gotta check out this guy.
24:10He said, he's, you know, turning around a good profit for me.
24:13What kind of text message did you receive?
24:16Basically, yes, I'm Chris Schultz regarding the investments.
24:20And I just happened to have an opening.
24:22Oh my.
24:24What about you, Glenn?
24:25Yeah, same deal.
24:26And he was asking me to come up with reasons why I deserved to be in the project.
24:32Wow.
24:33Yeah.
24:34This guy or team of people are very good.
24:38By having Glenn and Steve write reasons why they should be invited to invest,
24:43shows they were building a fence of exclusivity around the opportunity.
24:47It made it feel real and valid, and it pulled them right in.
24:52And there also is others involved that aren't here at the moment.
24:55A friend of mine, he's also into it for probably about $650,000.
24:59So just from this table and your friends, there were almost $2 million that this guy's taken from this community.
25:06Yeah.
25:08Okay, so it starts with Dan, who lost $500,000, thinking he was getting over $13 million.
25:13He shared it with Glenn, who invested $150,000, thinking he was getting $1.2 million.
25:20Steve is also down $500K, thinking he had $13 million.
25:24And Steve's friend, who put in $665,000, thought he had over $14 million.
25:32It's like a nightmare, and we don't know how far the web goes.
25:36Not just with this group, but other groups.
25:39Okay, um, is there anything else that might help us?
25:42Any clues? Other victims?
25:44Well, he was looking for a picture of us doing something happy.
25:50Going to a hockey game or enjoying life.
25:55I wonder if he was, like, collecting, like, testimonials.
25:58Like, look at all these happy people I helped.
26:01Or look at my last victim, one or the other.
26:03Like a serial killer.
26:04Like a serial killer, that's what I'm thinking.
26:05Like a trophy or something.
26:06Yeah.
26:07Well, I think we know more about Chris Schultz.
26:10He's operating at a high level, able to convince many victims to invest with him.
26:15He systematically makes people think he's their friend and that it's an exclusive club to be in.
26:21And probably the most sick.
26:24He collects their happy memories as if it satisfies him.
26:29As if their misery gets him off.
26:32We have to shut him down.
26:34You guys ever heard of Jim Browning?
26:36No.
26:37He is what we call the godfather of scam baiting.
26:41Not his real name.
26:42Yes.
26:43He runs under the radar.
26:44A lot of experience with international crypto scams.
26:47We called him to look into this.
26:49We hope to get an address and then a warrant to knock down some doors.
26:53Follow the money.
26:54We're gonna find the bad guy.
27:10Call from Chris.
27:12Hey, Fred.
27:13How are you, buddy?
27:14Hi, Chris.
27:15Once again.
27:16Hello, yes.
27:17Are you working today?
27:18Do you have any clients coming in?
27:19Not today.
27:20Not today.
27:21Hoping actually to try and understand all of this.
27:25So Jim, calling himself Fred, has been able to keep the conversation going with Chris.
27:30Which is great.
27:31What he's gonna try to do now is bait Chris into doing a screen share.
27:35Where Chris will make a direct connection onto Jim's computer.
27:39When that happens, Jim can secretly reverse the connection and actually access Chris's computer.
27:46And with that, Jim can search Chris's files and hopefully dig up some information on his operations.
27:52Let's log in to your account, okay?
27:56Is this something you can help me with?
27:58My son always helps me out with the computer things.
28:01Sure, sure.
28:02Maybe even share the screen or whatnot.
28:04Is that possible?
28:05Sure.
28:06Let's see.
28:07Let's connect.
28:08And it should be coming up as the request.
28:11Yep.
28:12All right.
28:13Perfect.
28:14Yep.
28:15Can I click?
28:16Can I click on behalf of you?
28:17Please do, yeah.
28:18Okay.
28:24Okay.
28:25And this is your platform.
28:27Concentration is gonna be on the Bitcoin.
28:30Look at this.
28:31Look at the movement.
28:32Oh, wow.
28:33Today I received another $270 million Bitcoin request simply because of people wanna get that.
28:48I do not want us to do anything of too fast or anything.
28:52No, no, no.
28:53Everything must be perfectly clear.
28:55So we are gonna start with 1.4 Bitcoin.
28:58That's perfect, yep.
28:59And then we'll go from there, okay?
29:01Okay.
29:02Thanks, Chris.
29:03I will speak tomorrow then.
29:04Bye-bye.
29:07Got you.
29:19All right.
29:20It's a new day.
29:21I've just sent an invite to Jim Browning.
29:23I'd like to introduce you all to Jim Browning.
29:26Hello.
29:27Hello.
29:28This is Jim Browning, everybody.
29:30Hi.
29:31Hi, everybody.
29:32I guess you're Dan and Alina?
29:34Yes.
29:35Yes.
29:36We also have Steve and Glenn just off camera on the other side of the table here who also
29:42were very much sucked into this scam.
29:44Okay.
29:45And collectively, we're looking at almost $2 million.
29:49And they're chomping at the bit to find out what you have found out about this scammer.
29:54I have been talking to Chris Schultz.
29:57I wanted to gain his trust that I was a proper victim and ultimately to connect to my computer.
30:04He did connect to my computer and I was able to connect back to his computer.
30:13So what I've been able to find out is Chris, although he's got a UK phone number, he is in fact not in the UK.
30:21Unfortunately, he didn't have a laptop.
30:25He didn't have a wireless network.
30:27So I'm not able to precisely find out where he's from, but I know for certain the city.
30:35Where he actually is, is in the Czech Republic in Prague.
30:40Yeah.
30:42Prague.
30:43He's actually in Prague, not the UK.
30:45That's where him and actually about 20 other scammers are located in the same office.
30:5420 people doing this full time job.
30:58Prague is an ancient city that dates back 1100 years.
31:02A travel guide would tell you that it's known for its Gothic and medieval architecture.
31:05And that is true.
31:07However, in the last five plus years, it's been known as a hotbed for cyber criminals and activity.
31:13With a staggering 2000 cyber crimes per week in 2024, law enforcement in Prague can barely keep up,
31:20which has made it a breeding ground for top tier criminals and investment scams,
31:24many of which go unsolved, leaving the victims with nothing but the damages.
31:31What is going through your mind right now?
31:34Makes you feel like an idiot in a way.
31:38Really?
31:39Yeah.
31:40I get that.
31:41I don't know if it gives you comfort or not, but he is one of the most persuasive people that I've ever spoken with.
31:49Jim, what are the next steps in getting anything resolved?
31:52If we have a police action, the internet service provider may be forced to reveal who their customer is.
32:02And then we can pinpoint who this group is.
32:06But let's try and work on it together and we can do it.
32:09Right. Okay. Thank you.
32:10We're making progress. I'm definitely going to keep going at this.
32:13We're going to do everything we can to bring a resolution to this.
32:17All right. Next steps. Package up all of our evidence, our victim statements,
32:23and everything Jim found on the scammer's computer system and send it to partners we have at Interpol.
32:28And we have to make sure Jim keeps infiltrating Chris Scholes to try and find an exact location.
32:36So, over the last two months, Jim's been digging for the scammer's location and he did uncover new evidence.
33:03The computers Chris and his crew use are in Prague, like we thought, but the scammers are not.
33:11Jim found evidence they're remoting in from time zones all over the world.
33:15All that's in that unidentified location in Prague is an empty room, racks of servers and worrying fans.
33:20Eventually, those connections can be traced, but it will take Interpol time.
33:24But it's not all bad news.
33:27We do have some interesting developments to share with Dan.
33:30Hi.
33:31Hi, guys.
33:32How are you doing?
33:33How are you?
33:34Just waiting for you guys, waiting for updates.
33:37We have been talking to Jim Browning.
33:39He's been able to extract a lot more information.
33:42He was able to get 22,000 victim calls that we have on a spreadsheet.
33:47He sent a picture of their earnings spreadsheet.
33:50He's estimating half a million a week per week.
33:55500,000 American dollars per week.
33:58Unbelievable.
34:00The call logs and earnings sheets that Jim downloaded while connected to their system reveal the group has scammed $26 million since 2024.
34:09With resources like that, they can hide behind layers of technology and stretch this investigation out for years.
34:16Jim is pursuing Interpol, but Chris is extremely careful and without any identifying keys of where they are that may or may not go anywhere.
34:27But we're going to be putting Chris Schultz on blast.
34:31We're going to reveal his scam.
34:33We're going to recruit everybody on the team, all the revengers, to go through the 23,000 victim calls that we have on a spreadsheet and call as many as we possibly can.
34:42He's going to lose access to all his current victims.
34:44We're going to put a massive dent in Chris's operation.
34:47Like, we are going to do as much as we can to make sure he never does this again.
34:51Thank you, guys. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
34:57The reason I love what we do is that we don't just get to hunt scammers, but we get to help victims reclaim their lives.
35:04And for Dan, I think we can also help him get back on track, thanks to something Alana has already set up.
35:10I started a GoFundMe. We've earned about $1,000 so far, but obviously that's just a drop in the bucket of what we need to keep the property.
35:19Okay.
35:20We're running out of time here to, you know, my dad, he has no more money to keep paying this high interest mortgage payments.
35:28Given that time is of the essence, we have an idea of how we can help you.
35:32We have great scambaders, great researchers, but we also have a lot of eyeballs.
35:36We're very grateful to have people that watch our videos.
35:39We want to basically put a video out on our channel, and we want to market your GoFundMe through our channel, through our audience, and ask for their help.
35:48And just to, you know, lead by the example, we're going to put $5,000 to start this movement to help your family.
35:56Thank you guys so much. Like, words cannot even describe how grateful I am.
36:02Yeah, for sure.
36:04Seriously.
36:06I thank you guys so much for what you're doing. Guys, I love yous, man. Awesome.
36:10Yeah, seriously. Our Canadian family, stay strong. We're not giving up on you. Just remember, like, we have your back no matter what.
36:16The investigation will continue, and I have confidence Chris will eventually end up in handcuffs. But for now, we have a mission for our Revengers.
36:28Revengers assemble. Hi, guys. Good to see you all. We have a long list of victims who are currently being scammed by these people. We need your help to call them, warn them, and stop them from interacting with these people.
36:42Hello. Hello, is that Donna? Hi, may I speak to Karen? May I speak with Susan, please?
36:49They're gonna cut off his operations, one connection at a time.
36:53I'm calling to warn you that Chris Schultz is a scammer.
36:58The people that you have been sending money to are scamming you. This is a very big scam.
37:05No matter how long it takes.
37:07I wasn't unaware of that. This is total news.
37:09We'll shut down Chris Schultz.
37:11I need to scream.
37:13Do it.
37:15And make things right for his victims.
37:17Okay, thank you.
37:19I gotta say bless you.
37:20Thank you kindly.
37:21I hope you get them.
37:23Bye-bye.
37:25And while Chris's scam begins to crumble, we'll share Dan's story and Elena's GoFundMe on a livestream.
37:33It's the best thing we can do to help.
37:36Elena is organizing it. It's Elena's GoFundMe.
37:39We're just sending eyeballs and traffic there and asking for your help on our behalf.
37:44Our goal is to raise the money Dan needs to finish the construction on his house,
37:49which will help alleviate his financial burden.
37:55Have you seen it? You guys are a quarter of the way there already.
37:57Oh my God, let's go!
38:03Oh, thank you all so much.
38:05It's incredible.
38:07And to our astonishment, holy shit.
38:11What? No!
38:13After just a few days going live, our community surpassed our $50,000 GoFundMe goal.
38:22Thank you guys so, so much.
38:24Thank you so much.
38:25How are you guys feeling?
38:27I'm beside myself. You guys are awesome, man.
38:30Yeah.
38:31Awesome.
38:32Changing our world, man.
38:37When we first met Dan, he'd lost hope.
38:40Even the will to go on.
38:42But it's clear to us that he's on the road to recovery.
38:45Dan and Elena, how did you guys feel after we left about Chris?
38:48I wasn't as depressed as I have been.
38:51Mm-hmm.
38:52Like, now I want to fight.
38:54I love that.
38:56When you have family like this, you don't give up.
39:00Knowing Dan now has the resources he needs to rebuild his home, his life,
39:05it reminds us that hunting down these scammers is just the first step.
39:09The real mission is helping people reclaim their future.
39:14Have each other's back.
39:16And Dan, stay strong.
39:39Can you see us then?
39:40iced coffee.
39:41Some of us.
39:42We're saved.
