00:00After Typhoon Tino's ravage in Cebu, the Social Security System, or SSS,
00:06announces the extension of Calamity Loan Program, or CLP, for affected areas in the province.
00:12Starting November 6 up to December 5, affected members may avail a calamity loan.
00:19SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Joseph Montes de Claro said
00:24that they understand the effects of the typhoon to the workers and families in Cebu,
00:29noting that the CLP is there to provide immediate access to emergency funds to help them recover,
00:36in addition to the recovery efforts undertaken by the national and local government across the province.
00:41Under the said program, given the qualifications,
00:45members may loan up to P20,000 at 7% interest rate, payable for up to 24 months.
00:52Those interested can submit their applications online via MySSS website.
01:00Once approved, the loan amount will be credited to the enrolled disbursement account.
