00:00So this year we're giving CommBank an award for being the most awarded
00:04Australian business in Shonky's 20-year history. The $270 million in excess fees
00:10that we saw the CommBank charge its low-income customers next to the profits
00:15that they announced, you know, a short time afterwards is a great example of
00:20something just not stacking up, you know, and particularly when you put it
00:23alongside the conduct of other banks who in this instance did move quickly to
00:27confirm that they would issue refunds to many of their impacted customers.
00:31So the handy heater is getting a Shonky this year for a few reasons. One is it's a
00:36plug-in heater that doesn't actually plug in, the other is it doesn't heat very well.
00:40We're giving Temu a Shonky this year primarily because of its poor track
00:44record with product safety. We've purchased 15 products that all contained
00:48button batteries and we tested them against the mandatory standards for
00:52button batteries in Australia and unfortunately every single one of those
00:5615 products failed at least one of the safety standards.
