00:00is the Oklahoma City Thunder, who right now are playing at 7-0,
00:05undefeated in the NBA, and really are playing really great basketball.
00:09The only team, I do believe, right now that is still undefeated.
00:14But what's really amazing is they're doing it with guys being out.
00:19Jalen Williams has missed the entire season so far.
00:23Chad Holmgren has missed the last three games.
00:25But they're getting contributions from people we expect, and then others that we did not.
00:33Obviously, you've got to start with the MVP, SGA, getting at about 34 points per game,
00:38six rebounds, six assists, I should say, about five rebounds a game,
00:42and shooting it right now at about a 53% clip.
00:47But what we did not have on our bingo card is the play of Ajay Mitchell,
00:51who has given you, sit down, folks, 17.3 points per game.
00:59Does that mean something to you?
01:01Does that ring a bell?
01:02Like, Ajay Mitchell last year played 36 games and got you 6.5.
01:08So now he's giving you 17.3.
01:10So now you have Mitchell that's doing his part.
01:13Isaiah Joe has stepped up his score.
01:15He's giving you 16.5.
01:17Wiggins is giving you 13.4.
01:19Hartenstein's averaging a double-double.
01:21So that's a crazy thing.
01:22Like, it's not Lou Dort, although he's giving you 7.3.
01:25It's not Caruso, although he's giving you 6.
01:28This is showing why Sam Presti is the best GM in the league.
01:36He continues to find guys who step in and step up, which makes them more dangerous.
01:45Why?
01:45Because at some point, he's going to move some of these guys that aren't going to get a ton of time.
01:52Or maybe he doesn't and keeps this long rotation of young players.
01:56But because of their age, because of their depth, and mostly because of Mark Dagonal, Sam Presti, and SGA,
02:04this team is undefeated, and there's no team that's near them right now.
02:09And wait until they get Chet and J-Dub back from injury.
02:14You know who's not playing well?
02:16A team that I thought could go over their win total, and I look to be extremely wrong,
02:20and that is the New Orleans Pelicans.
02:23Fly Pelican?
02:24More like Grounded Pelican.
02:26The Pelicans are 0-6 to start the season.
02:31And it's already getting time that we have to look at, is it going to be looked at to move on from Willie Green as a coach?
02:41This was a New Orleans Pelicans team that a couple of years ago, in a 1-8 matchup versus Phoenix,
02:48was up in a Game 6 at home, and could have forced a Game 7, a Phoenix Suns team that I do believe that year went on to the NBA Finals.
02:58So what is going wrong with them?
03:00Well, Zion's giving you 22.8, which you can't be mad at, but Zion, a guy who doesn't shoot perimeter shots much,
03:07is only shooting it at about 48.7% from this floor.
03:10That's got to be much higher.
03:13Jordan Poole's giving you 19 points per game, but he's only shooting at 37% from the floor.
03:17Trey Murphy III, giving you 12 points a game.
03:19He's only shooting at 14 points a game.
03:21He's only shooting it at 39% from the floor.
03:24So their main guys aren't their main guys.
03:28And it comes to a point where, what do you do if you are Joe Dumars and the leadership of New Orleans?
03:37Do you now hope that Zion plays healthy, is healthy enough that you can move him?
03:43Do you move Trey Murphy III, another player that can give you, I think, a good hold,
03:49because I think he's one of the best 3 and D guys in the league.
03:53But Fly Pelican is grounded Pelicans, and they got to fix it soon,
03:57or Willie Green could be the first coach fired this season.
