00:00All right. So it's Sunday. You know, of course, when you sleep on a lead, you have everything to play for to try to win on the PGA Tour.
00:07And you come out and play some really solid golf, that front nine.
00:10And now and now that I know the story about the tour championship on the on the PGA Tour, America's Tour in Canada, Toronto, where you have, you know, what was it?
00:20A five shot or four shot lead with six holes to play. Did that ever, you know, enter the back of your brain heading into that back nine?
00:28And what were the lessons that you learned from that that allowed you to stay in the present and get this job done and win on the PGA Tour with everything in the world to play for?
00:36You know, yeah, I was thinking about it. All day, pretty much, you know, I got off to a great, great start, hit some really good shots in.
00:47Which was great, kind of settled me a little bit, you know, but then I turned with a five shot lead after the front nine.
00:56And I was like, holy smokes, you know what I mean? Yeah.
01:02And what went wrong was I probably treated it too relaxed and calm in the tour championship.
01:10Like, oh, this good golf, like because I'm playing it, it's just going to keep up.
01:13And, you know, I'm going to play great back nine just because that's what I'm doing.
01:17And so I felt like this Sunday I took a much different attitude, more of like Jeff and I, we would, our goal at the start of the day was to get to 25 under, which is pretty aggressive, eight under Sunday round.
01:31But, I mean, I played pretty much a perfect front nine and shot five and I was like, it was super plausible after that, you know.
01:41So after every birdie I made, Jeff would just say, all right, seven more, six more, five more, you know, trying to count down to that eight number.
01:49And of course we made a bogey on 10 and he walks off the green and we go from three more after nine.
01:53And he's like, all right, four more and, um, which is, is funny and, um, you know, kind of light, lighthearted and kept me feeling pretty good.
02:04Um, but, but yeah, just try to like, I knew how fast things could go bad because I had experienced it.
02:11And so knowing how things could go bad, it kind of helped me, you know, stay, stay more locked in.
02:16I felt like when I was out there on the back nine.
02:18Was Jeff with you in 2024 at that event?
02:20So he, he had experienced that with you, so that had to help.
02:25Yeah.
02:25I mean, we, we shed some tears after that tournament, you know, in 24, just how hard it was.
02:31And he didn't, you know, he felt like he had let me down, which is absolutely not the case, you know, and I had let him down.
02:38Like he's, you know, making no money caddying for me on the America's tour where he could be, you know, working at his Wake Forest degree.
02:45You know what I mean?
02:46Like could be working a nice job, but he just, he wanted to be out there and supporting.
02:49And yeah, so that was tough and he knew what it was like and he really stepped up big time on Sunday.
