01:32And while Germany stepped in to help with Lithuania, it's not clear whether it'll have the stomach to do it again this time.
01:39Germany and China's foreign ministers recently held a phone call vowing to smooth over strained ties.
01:44During that exchange, China urged Germany to oppose what it called Taiwan independence.
01:50At the same time, China is exempting Germany from an export ban on certain chips, which are vital to Germany's auto industry.
01:58So with multiple EU countries looking to make nice with Beijing,
02:03the question is, will Taiwan's diplomatic goals in Europe need to take a back seat?
