USC Trojans Quarterback Jayden Maiava, Coach Lincoln Riley, and Defensive Tackle Devan Thompkins discusses the offensive line developing even with injuries. Riley talked about different players stepping up and how there is different group every week.

00:00Jaden, how did it feel to really have to use your legs in a game?

00:03It felt great.

00:03I mean, it's a good defense we're going up against like that.

00:06I mean, cover well downfield, just, you know, last option is for me to run,

00:10so I'll just do what I can.

00:12Jaden, what did you feel change after the interception?

00:16I think through your final three drives, you guys ran 42 plays for 170 yards.

00:21That was after your offense right there.

00:22What changed after the interception?

00:24Yeah, I mean, just, I mean, obviously I want that play back.

00:27I've got to make a better decision on that play.

00:28But defense is a hell of a job.

00:30I mean, hats off to them.

00:32They're the reason why we got this win as well as special teams.

00:35Offense just got to play better.

00:36What's to say about the offensive line development that you've had so many injuries this season,

00:40but they keep performing at a high level?

00:41Yeah, just a different group every week, you know.

00:44But it says a lot, you know, Caleb Miller came in and played a really good game for us.

00:49He played really well, which was awesome to see him step in there

00:53because he's also had to be our number two center while Killian's been out.

00:55So he honestly hasn't been able to take many snaps at guard.

00:58So to make that even more impressive, maybe blocking for his brother gives him a little

01:03more inspiration.

01:05His family will be pissed if he doesn't block good.

01:08So, but no, the guys, they held in there and fought.

01:12And obviously we ran the ball extremely well.

01:15And that was, you know, they kind of dared us in some ways the way that they played to

01:21continue to run the ball and run it well.

01:24And I thought, you know, outside of a couple of penalties, we had a couple of missed assignments

01:29there.

01:29But with how much that group has, how little consistency we've had that group, you know,

01:35they played a pretty good game.
