USC Trojans Coach Lincoln Riley discusses where the Trojans missed the mark, such as keeping play clean, running through tackles. Riley did emphasize it was not at the level they have been playing.

00:00You guys have run the ball so well for the most part this season.
00:03Obviously, it seemed like you had a little bit of trouble in that regard.
00:06How did that change what you were able to do?
00:08Yeah, yeah, we just, we weren't as clean.
00:10You know, we didn't, I didn't feel like we did as good a job running through some of the tackles.
00:15We obviously got it going a little bit better there, you know, at the end of the half
00:18and then some of the second half and had some good runs.
00:22You know, it was tough, too, because we were making a lot of explosive plays,
00:25and that's what I thought really favorable matchups in the throw game.
00:27And so, but, yeah, we, you know, it was a disappointing performance in terms
00:32overall of us running the ball, had some good moments,
00:35but not to the level that we've been running it.
00:37What is the feeling of losing the game in this rivalry
00:40when the future of this rivalry is just kind of in doubt?
00:42I don't worry too much about the future, just kind of in the moment right now, you know,
00:46and every game means a whole hell of a lot to us.
00:49And so when you don't win, it hurts, especially with as hard as this team's prepared.
00:53So, yeah, there's a lot of uncertainty about a lot of things in the future.
00:57So I just don't spend much time thinking about that.
