00:00All right. Well, I want to get into, obviously, the whole twinsie thing and the movie and everything, but I do want to start from the beginning, get a little bit of an origin story on the both of you. I know, Regan, we did a hot and dirty interview at AVN before COVID a while ago. So, Shay, I'm going to actually ask you this question first. How did you get started in the adult industry?
00:21I was feature dancing in Canada, and I was at Whiskey A Go Go in Toronto, and they had house features there. I had a pretty elaborate show. I did Fire and all these, you know, yeah. It was a big show back when I think you were allowed to do that. You probably aren't now.
00:39And they had big U.S. porn stars that would come in every week, and they had a few house features there as well. And Diana Loran came in, and she was the huge U.S. porn star. And I had one of the rooms upstairs that, it was funny, because she was so amazing. She had the feature dressing room, and I walked in, and I'm like, oh, I'm a feature. And I'm like, is this my room? She's like, I think this is my room. And she was so nice about it. And I'm like, okay.
01:09Aw. But we became friends. She always, to this day, is like, there's just something about you, and I knew we needed to be friends. So we became really good friends, and she sort of said, hey, if you're ever in the U.S., come down here and shoot. And she had just started doing Vivid Interactive, which was the very beginning of moving from VHS over to DVD.
01:29And she had a directing deal for them. And I kind of went, okay, yeah, great. And I was working on all of my immigration from Toronto, because I'm originally from Vancouver, BC. And Ottawa's right there, so I was close by doing everything.
01:43And then Gentile came through, and she was feature dancing, and I was house featuring there again. And Diana was signing that week, and she came in to see Gentile. And that's when we really connected that week. And I had all my immigration sorted out maybe like three or four weeks after that, and crossed the border and drove to L.A., and she took me to Jim South, and that was that.
02:09Wow. God, you just like brought up so many names that I know that I haven't heard in a while.
02:15Yeah, yeah. Well, I actually knew your mom quite well through Lee Garland. He was my best friend.

02:23And I dropped him off at your mom's studio many a time.

02:33So tell me about your first professional shoot that you did.
02:37Who was the first person you got booked with?
02:40Well, I mean, my first professional shoot was doing interactive.
02:44It was Diana's first movie, and I think she won an award for that because it was the first time they'd ever done any interactive stuff.
02:51And it was kind of a shit show because no one knew what they were doing.
02:55Right.
02:55There was like multiple angles, and it was so new.

02:58So that was probably my first professional shoot.
03:01But I did do a couple – I really hate being asked this question because I have to give the title away, and I'm really not proud of that.
03:11But it was The Great Canadian Stripper Search.
03:15It was Jim Gunn, who's actually still around.
03:17He directed for Devil's Films at the time, and he used to go up to Toronto and just shoot Canadian strippers.
03:26So I never really sought it out.
03:28Like, it always found me.
03:29And then there was another guy up there that's like, I'm shooting amateur porn.
03:32And I'm like, okay.
03:33And I did something called Northern Sights.

03:38And those were my first two.

03:43How was the Vivid shoot compared to the other ones?
03:47Was it unexpected in terms of, like, how big of a production it was?
03:53It was long.
03:54It was – because no one knew how to really shoot that stuff yet.
