00:00and time ran out for Chris Greer.
00:02They fired their general manager after a loss on Thursday night
00:05to the Baltimore Ravens, 28-6.
00:08Joe, you know this organization well.
00:11What did you make of the decision for Chris Greer to be fired,
00:15Mike McDaniel not fired, and seemingly getting the rest of this season?
00:20Yeah, that's shocking to me.
00:21I think Chris Greer, big picture, you know, wore out his welcome in Miami.
00:26And you think about some of the moves that he brought.
00:28Some were good, others were bad.
00:30But at the end of the day, when the team is underperforming
00:33and you're not getting wins for this organization
00:35and you're completely, you know, not stepping up against better competition,
00:39that falls on the GM, that falls on the head coach.
00:42Again, why Ross decided to keep McDaniel, I don't know.
00:47Because, again, when we talk about the X's and O's,
00:50in-game management adjustments,
00:52I don't think Mike McDaniel's a very good coach.
00:55But that being said, hopefully it's a step in the right direction
00:58to potentially having this team be more competitive,
01:01challenging for a playoff win.
01:03They haven't had a playoff win this decade.
01:07But I guess we'll see how it plays out.
01:11Yeah, we will.
01:12If you hear something, listen, out of our control.
01:16If you hear nothing, Joe and I may be just going a little crazy
01:18on this Sunday morning, the Ravens' decision,
01:24or excuse me, the Dolphins' decision to let go of Chris Greer
01:30and then immediately tell us they will not be letting go of Mike McDaniel
01:35tells me they feel the biggest culprit in the building
01:40is Tua Tunga-Vailoa.
01:42And for me, Joe, I can't really disagree.
01:47You and I have had some spirited conversations around this Dolphins team,
01:51McDaniel specifically,
01:53but it is hard to feel like someone is,
01:58again, it can be a group effort, undoubtedly,
02:01but it is hard to feel like someone is at fault
02:03more than Tua Tunga-Vailoa.
02:06And a lot of the reason I feel that way, Joe,
02:09is as a quarterback, you have to be a leader.
02:14And after every single loss, this guy goes to the podium
02:17and just gives about one of the worst quotes you could possibly imagine.
02:22And this time it's like, yeah, you know,
02:24a little hard to hear with the crowd noise.
02:26I mean, it's a little crazy.
02:28It is, it is.
02:29And when you think about Tua as old...
02:31Rocky's environment.
02:32Keep it down.
02:34Omaha, Omaha.
02:35Here we are.
02:37But, no, Tua, again, you know,
02:41had his opportunity a couple of years ago.
02:43He didn't step up.
02:44He's now more turnover prone now at this point in his career
02:48than where he was when he came out and he was a rookie.
02:51So, again, what does this team do moving forward?
02:55I don't think Tua's the answer, Kev.
02:57I really don't think he's the answer in Miami.
