00:00And let's get right into it here.
00:02Buffalo and Kansas City.
00:03Every year, Josh Allen versus Pat Mahomes.
00:06We see it in the regular season, and then we usually see it in the postseason.
00:09What do you expect from today's regular season matchup?
00:11Well, I think it will go down to the fourth quarter again.
00:14I don't think this game is going to get out of margin.
00:16I think we could see a similar type of performance.
00:19What we saw week one with Baltimore and Buffalo.
00:22You're talking about a team in Kansas City that has an identity now.
00:25They enter this ballgame on a three-game winning streak.
00:28They've won those games by an average margin of victory of 21.6 points per game.
00:33We know Buffalo, throughout the year, is dominant at home.
00:36They're 3-1 this year.
00:38Their only loss came to New England.
00:40And we saw them break out with a 40-point performance on the road against,
00:43you could say, an above-average at that particular time Carolina team,
00:46a team that beat Dallas at home and put up points.
00:49They contained Andy Dalton.
00:51But the big performance was James Cook on the ground, 216.
00:54I don't think they're going to be able to run James Cook in this matchup
00:58as consistent.
00:59I think Josh Allen will have to make some plays over the top.
01:02We saw that with Shakir breaking out last week.
01:05I think it could be a big tight end day.
01:07I'm going to take the points, though, with Buffalo.
01:09This is the M.O.
01:10This is their Super Bowl.
01:11And again, you know, I know they win in the regular season,
01:14don't win in the playoffs.
01:15But I just think from a matchup perspective,
01:17they match up well offensively.
01:20And I think they show out today.
01:21And I think it's a field goal game.
01:22But I think the Bills win it.
01:24Yeah, for me, Joe, I think this is a principal play, if you will.
01:29Is it?
01:30I am stunned at this number.
01:33I understand Kansas City is trending and finding their level.
01:39And I understand that they are the healthier team.
01:42The Kansas City Chiefs were a team who we began this year talking about,
01:46wow, home underdog against Philly, home underdog against Baltimore,
01:49really short number against Detroit, and they're not laying in Buffalo.
01:54Reminds you of a Buffalo team that does not lose at home with Josh Allen.
01:58You'll say, ah, they lost this year to New England.
02:00I know.
02:01You're looking for that to happen again.
02:03This is a step-up spot for the Buffalo Bills, Joe.
02:05I am with you.
02:06I took the two-and-a-half points.
02:07With these two teams, I'm not going to be, you know, take them, all right?
02:11Remember Baltimore and Buffalo week number one, right?
02:14It came down to a one-point game.
02:16I'm going to take the two-and-a-half.
02:17I can't pass up, though, backing Buffalo as a home underdog with Josh Allen.
02:23It's a very rare occurrence to see.
02:25It happened again, as we just said, in week number one, and it came in.
02:29But what fascinates me so much about this game is what is on the line in this matchup.
02:34Because there are a lot of people who feel as if, ah, it's fine.
02:39You know, they're both being in the playoffs.
02:41It's all about the playoffs.
02:42They have two best quarterbacks.
02:44And for the winner, the win will feel good, right?
02:48But it's not going to, you know, whoever wins this game will likely be the Super Bowl favorite
02:53and have the MVP favorite.
02:54But for the loser, Joe, I think the loser will lose their status as division favorite.
03:02With either New England jumping Buffalo in a market that they have been knocking on the door of
03:07in terms of the AFC East, if Kansas City loses today, they're 5-4.
03:14The Denver Broncos an opportunity today to be 7-2.
03:18The Chargers an opportunity today to be 6-3.
03:21A loss for Kansas City guarantees they are in third place in their division through nine weeks.
03:28I think it's been an under-discussed element of this game that the losing side will not be
03:34the division favorite nine weeks into the NFL season.
03:38Yeah, it's a great point.
03:39And you talk about, you know, Buffalo.
03:40If they were to lose two games at home against, you know, two teams that are playoff caliber type
03:45of matchups, that would give maybe questionable MO to McDermott and Josh Allen and this team
03:53as a whole.
03:54But if, you know, I think it's also important to recognize Kansas City was on life support
04:00week number three, right?
04:01And we've seen offenses expose this defense.
04:04And again, I'm expecting them to take away the run today.
04:08But we've seen Detroit challenge them over the top with the passing attack.
04:11We saw an average Trevor Lawrence attack them over the top with the passing game and have
04:16success.
04:17This is one of the best, you know, offenses, one of the best quarterbacks in all of the
04:22NFL that I think is going to eat in this matchup.
04:25I don't think it's the ground attack like they attacked them last week.
04:27I think it is the tight ends, which Kansas City struggles with the running backs, whether
04:32it be Sweet Baby Ray Davis, Ty Johnson, or even James Cook.
04:36I think there's success in the passing attack today.
04:39And again, I think they'll get exposed.
04:41Big picture, even if Kansas City does win this game and they win four straight, their
04:46defense now still has question marks.
04:49Yes, it can carry them.
04:50But we've seen offenses expose them to a certain capacity.
04:54And I think that's the biggest thing when you put the Chiefs up against the Chargers and
04:58Denver in the division.
04:59I don't think they're the best team right now.
