00:00It's Kansas City and Buffalo.
00:02In Buffalo, in the regular season, once again,
00:05it is the Josh Allen-led group that get it done.
00:09273 yards in the air, three total touchdowns for Josh Allen.
00:14What was your biggest takeaway as the Bills win and cover under here
00:21in a big spot against Kansas City in week number nine?
00:25Same old story, right?
00:26Bills can win in the regular season and in the playoff type of situation,
00:30that's where potentially you have to hold your breath if you're a Buffalo Bills fan.
00:34But, you know, we talked about it in the pregame
00:36that Kansas City was a red-hot football team.
00:39They had won three straight by an average margin of victory of 21.6 points per game.
00:43The injury prior to the game of Ed Oliver,
00:46I thought a lot of people thought that Buffalo wouldn't be able to sustain
00:50or contain Pat Mahomes in that offense, and it was quite the contrary.
00:54The front seven forced them into long, predictable third downs.
00:57We saw James Cook take over the game with the rushing attack,
01:01and Josh Allen was his consistent self in a big spot in the regular season,
01:05and that's why Buffalo won that matchup.
01:08I think for the Bills, I know that there is this somewhat tongue-in-cheek,
01:14but probably not kidding, let's lose to them in the regular season.
01:19It'll be a reverse in the postseason,
01:20but it was important for Buffalo to get this one as they are still competing
01:25for the top of that division with the New England Patriots team
01:28that handled business against Atlanta, albeit a very close affair.
01:31It's a Buffalo Bills team that the one seed is certainly still up for grabs within the AFC,
01:37and the Bills are actually now the favorites, Joe, to be the number one seed in the AFC.
01:42So that is what they've allowed themselves here with that victory.
01:45I don't think in anything that we saw, though, we go, oh, yeah, Buffalo's way better.
01:51At least not for me.
01:53To me, it was about the spot.
01:55I was someone who bet Buffalo because Buffalo was a home dog in Orchard Park.
02:00Right.
02:00If you flip that game location-wise, I'm not, oh, yeah, I must bet the Bills.
02:06Again, number depending.
02:08I'm not saying they couldn't have win.
02:09Again, I don't feel markedly differently about the Bills coming off of the game.
02:16How do you feel about Kansas City, though, who do now sit five and four through nine weeks
02:23but still sit as the Super Bowl favorites?
02:27Yeah, I can't believe that.
02:28And, again, I think the biggest takeaway for me, Kev, is the fact that I don't believe their defense
02:33is as elite as maybe people perceive it to be.
02:37And we have talked about teams exploiting them, Jacksonville, Detroit, even though Detroit lost that game.
02:44If you have playmakers at every level, running backs that could catch the football out of the backfield
02:49like Buffalo and the Eagles and Detroit and some of the other teams, you could put pressure on this team,
02:55especially when you have multiple options and you have a quarterback that can run like Josh Allen.
03:00It's always the ability to exploit this team from a defensive perspective I think goes unnoticed.
03:06I think everybody went into this game and said Kansas City has an elite defense and we have question marks about the Bills
03:13because they lost two straight games before the win against Carolina.
03:17And, you know, is this the same team having that home dominance?
03:21And they showcased that in the matchup.
03:23And I think the biggest thing that when you see it is that James Cook was able to rush for over 100 yards.
03:29We've seen teams be able to run and throw on this team now throughout a nine-game stretch here.
03:34And if we do get to a playoff type of situation, yeah, Pat Mahomes has the weapons,
03:40but the defense might start to be regressing just a little bit.
03:44And that's why I don't think they're a dominant team overall anymore.
