00:57We're coming out, Jackie.
01:21Roger.
01:27As you know, Lassie and the rescue rangers were due a half hour ago to perform rescue demonstrations for us.
01:48However, in view of the fact, ah, here they are now.
01:55I'm terribly sorry about being so late, Mr. Benson, but we had some engine trouble.
02:07No problem, Mr. Turner.
02:09Shall we get started?
02:10Yes, of course.
02:12Come on, kids.
02:13Let's get moving.
02:14What are we going to demonstrate first, Dad?
02:19A mountain climbing rescue.
02:21We'll use Toothless as the victim.
02:23Good afternoon, students.
02:28My name is Ben Turner, and I'm a member of the rescue rangers, who are here today to demonstrate some of our rescue techniques.
02:36I urge you to pay close attention to these demonstrations for the simple reason that in your own daily lives, there may come a time when you will be confronted with an emergency situation of some kind.
02:48Now, our first demonstration of the day will deal with a mountain climbing rescue.
02:53Our victim is stranded on an icy ledge with a broken leg.
02:57The rescue rangers will use two methods in this rescue.
03:00Jackie, Ben, Jr., and Susan will assist from above in rescue one, while Gene Fox will approach the victim by scaling the mountain.
03:08All right, Jackie.
03:09Get rescue one airborne.
03:14Gene Fox, start climbing.
03:16Now, the first objective in any type of rescue is to reach the victim, which, in this case, is Gene Fox's job.
03:24Since the victim is unconscious with a broken leg, Gene Fox will split the leg and place him in the litter basket, lowered by rescue one.
03:50Naturally, all rescues don't come off quite that smoothly, but I think you can understand how important teamwork is between the two parties involved.
04:08Thank you very much.
04:10Now, for our next demonstration.
04:12You're under arrest.
04:24Under arrest?
04:25What for?
04:26Robbery.
04:27Let's go.
04:28Wait.
04:29There must be some mistake.
04:31No mistake, mister.
04:32The bank's hidden camera got pictures of all of you, including those animals.
04:36I can't believe it.
04:47They look just like us.
04:49And there's Lassie.
04:50And all the animals, too.
04:56I just can't understand this, Chief.
04:58These kids aren't criminals.
05:00I know that, Ben.
05:02But legally, my hands are tied.
05:04The evidence is too incriminating.
05:06But they're imposters.
05:08We weren't anywhere near that bank this morning.
05:10The robbery took place a few minutes past ten.
05:13Can you prove your whereabouts at that time?
05:15We had some engine trouble and had to land to fix it.
05:17That's why we were late for our demonstration at the high school.
05:20Where did you land?
05:21In the field, somewhere outside the city.
05:23Well, did anyone see you?
05:26Did you talk to anyone?
05:28I'm afraid not.
05:29There were no roads nearby, and we didn't see a soul.
05:32Guess it doesn't look good, huh?
05:34I'm sorry, Ben.
05:36Chief, you've known me for years.
05:38Can't you give us a chance to prove the rescue ranger's innocence?
05:42Well, I don't know.
05:44How much time would you need?
05:46Twenty-four hours.
05:47I may be able to get you a court order for twelve hours, but no more.
05:51Thanks, Chief.
05:52You won't be sorry.
05:53I sure hope not.
05:59See anything, Susan?
06:02Nothing yet, Dad.
06:04Shouldn't be too hard to find that phony Rescue One.
06:06There's only so many places you can hide a helicopter.
06:09Rescue One.
06:10Rescue One.
06:11This is Jackie.
06:12Over.
06:12This is Rescue One.
06:14Go ahead, Jackie.
06:14We're checking out a block of condemned buildings.
06:17A collie fitting Lassie's description was seen around here earlier.
06:20Roger.
06:21Keep in touch.
06:22Over and out.
06:26Look, Jackie.
06:27There she is.
06:30Go get her, Lassie.
06:35Whoa, you can hide an elephant in here.
06:37Yeah.
06:39And there must be over a hundred rooms.
06:41Come on, Lassie's found something.
06:45A tunnel.
06:46Good work, Lassie.
06:47I'd better contact Dad.
06:49Rescue One.
06:50Rescue One.
06:51This is Jackie.
06:52Over.
06:52Go ahead, Jackie.
06:54We spotted that collie and followed her into the abandoned building.
06:57Lassie discovered a tunnel and we're going to check it out.
07:00You boys watch your step and keep us posted.
07:02Over and out.
07:03Okay.
07:03Let's go.
07:08See anything suspicious, Jackie?
07:10Cut your light, Gene Fox.
07:15What is it?
07:17It looks like some kind of laboratory.
07:19Let's get a closer look.
07:27Hey, there's Mom and Dad.
07:29What are they doing here?
07:30They're not here.
07:32Those are robots.
07:33You're right.
07:34And look at the rescue animals.
07:36They're robots, too.
07:37They must all be controlled by those big computers.
07:40It's all about that.
07:54Don't move.
07:56These robots have nasty tempers.
07:58Now, these buttons can make them even nastier.
08:02Who are you?
08:04My name isn't important, Jackie.
08:06Hey.
08:07How come you know my name?
08:08I know all the rescue rangers by name.
08:12You're Gene Fox.
08:13The little boy is Ben Jr.
08:15And the dog, of course, is the famous Lassie.
08:18I've been studying you very closely.
08:21But why?
08:23I know why.
08:24It was your robots that robbed that bank this morning, and the police think it was us.
08:28Very perceptive, my young friend.
08:30Too bad that knowledge won't do you any good.
08:34Now, come.
08:35There's a nice cold cell waiting for you.
08:51Go, Lassie.
08:52Get help.
08:52You meddling brats.
09:01Now that you're going to stay a while, there's someone I'd like you to meet.
09:09Yes, master?
09:11Rescue rangers, this is rescue one.
09:13Do you read me, Jackie?
09:14See what your father wants.
09:20This is Jackie, Dad.
09:22Go ahead.
09:22I don't believe this.
09:24What's the story on that tunnel you found?
09:27It was a dead end, Dad.
09:29Where are you now?
09:30We're over the waterfront now.
09:32Still no sign of the phony rescue one chopper.
09:34Okay, Dad.
09:35Talk to you later.
09:38It's a success.
09:40Even your own father can't tell the difference.
09:42Something's gone wrong.
10:02The dog is malfunctioning.
10:04The dog is malfunctioning.
10:05Good girl, Lassie.
10:06Jackie, Gene Fox, find Lassie and bring her back.
10:10Yes, master.
10:11Yes, master?
10:18You'll never get away with this, mister.
10:20Lassie and my dad will see to that.
10:22Don't be ridiculous, little friends.
10:24My computers and I have planned the perfect crime.
10:27And you're going to pay for it, so you might as well get used to being behind bars.
10:32There she is.
10:55She's in here.
11:02Dad, I may have something.
11:17There's an old deserted ship down there with an awfully big cargo hatch.
11:20You're right.
11:21Let's take a closer look.
11:25There's something inside the hole, but it's covered up.
11:28We'd better find out what it is.
11:32There we go, my little electronic friend.
12:02You're as good as new.
12:05And as soon as I find out where Mr. Turner is, you'll have your work cut out for you.
12:10See if he's still snooping around the waterfront.
12:13Rescue One, this is Ben.
12:15Come in.
12:15Over.
12:16This is Rescue One.
12:17Go ahead, Ben.
12:18Just wondering where you are, Dad.
12:20We're just about to board an old abandoned ship.
12:24Susan thought she saw something in the cargo hold.
12:26Don't listen to him, Dad.
12:28They're robot imposters.
12:29What was that, Ben?
12:34Did you say something about robots?
12:36No, I didn't, Dad.
12:38It must have been some kind of interference.
12:40See you later, over and out.
12:42They've found our ship, dog.
12:45Proceed to the docks and lead Mr. Turner back here.
12:48You're dreaming if you think Mr. Turner's gonna fall for that robot trick.
12:51Is that a fact?
12:53Well, let me tell you something.
12:54I've been working for two years on those robots.
12:57They're perfect in every detail.
13:00Lassie's own mother couldn't tell her apart from the robot.
13:03Maybe so, but you forgot one thing.
13:05Yes?
13:06What's that?
13:06A heart.
13:09What are you waiting for?
13:11I said, get Mr. Turner so I can proceed with the greatest robbery in history.
13:14For which the rescue rangers will be blamed.
13:18Well, Susan, maybe this old tub holds some answers for us.
13:35I hope so.
13:36Our 12 hours are almost up.
13:48There it is, Dad.
13:57That's what I saw.
13:59Well, it's large enough to be a copter, but I'll have to go below to check it out.
14:09Lassie!
14:10What are you doing here?
14:11Where are the boys?
14:14What's wrong, girl?
14:18Susan, you were right.
14:21We found the phony Rescue One.
14:23Oh, great.
14:24Now, isn't this enough proof to clear ourselves?
14:26Not quite, but it's a good start.
14:28Lassie, what are you doing here?
14:30I don't know, but she's acting strange.
14:32I'll be right up.
14:37Hey, what's wrong with you two?
14:39Stop that.
14:40What is it, girl?
14:41Has something happened to the boys?
14:45Rescue Rangers, this is Rescue One.
14:47Do you read me?
14:48Over.
14:49Come in, Rescue Rangers.
14:51Your father sounds worried.
14:54Now, he'll follow my robot, Lassie, right into my clutches.
15:02Dad, have you noticed how strange Lassie's been acting?
15:05I think she's trying to tell us something.
15:07Maybe she knows what happened to the boys.
15:11He wants us to follow her.
15:12Okay, let's go.
15:13I have a feeling they're in some kind of trouble.
15:20Hey, Toothless.
15:21What's wrong, boy?
15:23He doesn't want us to go.
15:24Toothless.
15:25Now, behave yourself.
15:27We've got to find the boys.
15:28What's going on?
15:39That dog looks just like Lassie.
15:41That dog is Lassie.
15:52Lassie.
15:53Better stay back, Susan.
15:54Those dogs mean business.
15:56Daddy, what is that?
16:09It looks like a robot, Susan.
16:11Or what's left of one.
16:14Oh, Lassie, I'm so glad you're all right.
16:16Lassie, where are the boys?
16:18Can you take us to them?
16:20Hmm.
16:20Hmm.
16:21Hmm.
16:21Hmm.
16:22Hmm.
16:22Hmm.
16:23Hmm.
16:23Hmm.
16:23Hmm.
16:23Hmm.
16:23Hmm.
16:23Hmm.
16:23Hmm.
16:23Hmm.
16:24Hmm.
16:24Hmm.
16:24Hmm.
16:24Hmm.
16:24Hmm.
16:24Hmm.
16:25Hmm.
16:25All right.
16:40Hand over all your money and put it in this suitcase.
16:43Perfect.
16:44Absolutely perfect.
16:46Now, as soon as the other robots return with their prisoners, I'll be ready to launch my own
16:51rescue rangers on their career of crime.
16:54Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
16:55See the red light blinking on that computer?
16:57Yeah.
16:58What about it?
16:59That's the same light that blinked when the robot dog malfunctioned before.
17:03Then it must be out of commission again.
17:05And Dad and Susan still have a chance to bail us out of here.
17:08Get out of here.
17:12Get out of here.
17:16Get out of here.
17:17Get out of here.
17:21That building's rigged with dynamite.
17:23The whole thing's gonna blow up in 30 seconds.
17:26What is it? An earthquake? I don't think so. It sounded like an explosion to me.
17:43My robots. I can't control them. I'm... I'm ruined. Ruined.
17:58Rescue One. Rescue One. This is Jackie. Do you read me? Over.
18:18Jackie, are you all right? Yeah, we're okay, but the guy that got us into this mess escaped.
18:25Help somebody. Help me.
18:28Sounds like our scientist friend didn't get too far after all.
18:44Hey, there's gas escaping in the tunnel.
18:48Lassie Dad, are we ever glad to see you?
18:51I'll say, we've got an emergency here. The guy we want is inside this tunnel and it's filling up with gas.
18:58It'll take us at least an hour to dig through all that rubble.
19:08I bet it might be too late. I've got an idea, Dad. I'll bet Robbie and Musty could burrow through these rocks in no time.
19:14And they could take a resuscitator with them. Good idea, Ben.
19:18It's sure worth a try.
19:19How are they doing, Mr. Turner?
19:27They're still digging, but I'm afraid they're both getting pretty tired.
19:31I can't last much longer.
19:41They made it. They dug through.
19:47Yay, Robbie! Yay, Musty!
19:50Now our scientist friend will breathe clean air until we can dig him out.
19:57I want to thank you, Ben. No telling how many robberies those robots might have gotten away with.
20:02Don't thank me, Chief.
20:04Lassie and the rescue rangers did most of the work.
20:08Dad, look out! It's the robot dog!
20:11Not this time, gang.
20:13But how can you be so sure, Dad?
20:15Because I've never seen a robot yet that can have puppies.
