00:00And we can start things out with a very accomplished horse named Rebels Romance, who is a two-time Breeders' Cup winner, but he may not even go favorite in this race because there's a horse in here that's even a little classier than him right now.
00:13But Scott, it's tough to knock what this guy's done in his career.
00:15Yeah, he's the barometer in this race, and what I'll just say to stand for all these Europeans is there's only been one non-European-based horse that's won this race since 2015.
00:25It was Bricks and Mortar who ended up being horse of the year.
00:27Goliath is the two who comes off of a grade one win over in Germany last time out.
00:33I mean, he's pretty classy, too.
00:34He's faced very good horses.
00:36He's actually defeated Rebels Romance last year back at Royal Ascot.
00:39Yeah, it seems like he knows when the peak.
00:41Last year, he peaked at the end of the year like this.
00:43He comes in off his best effort of the year last hour to September 7th.
00:47He's won eight of 16 and should get a good trip.
00:50Amalok goes out for the trainer, Ralph Beckett, who won the Breeders' Cup turf sprint last year.
00:54So he certainly knows how to get horses ready for the Breeders' Cup.
00:57And this is an up-and-coming three-year-old, Scott, who I think fits pretty well in this group if you're looking to go against the top two horses who do seem like they're the class of the field.
01:06He's beaten everyone but one horse throughout his five- or six-race career.
01:10Hard to knock.
01:11A lot of the things I say about Goliath stand for him.
01:13And we move on to the number four, redistricting.
01:16Coming off a runner-up effort in the turf classic, he's going to have to turn the tables on Rebels Romance in here.
01:21Yeah, I think he's a cut or two below these.
01:25I thought he was going to be a lot more of a factor last year and this year than it's turned out to be.
01:30Rebel Red is a long shot.
01:32He's been behind El Cordobe's redistricting recently.
01:35I just can't make a case for him to turn the tables on them.
01:40There's a big setup in here.
01:41I could make the case fourth or fifth, third maybe.
01:43But he raced because he raced against the flow last time in the turf classic, but he's at least a cut below.
01:49He does get IRAD.
01:50Three-year-old stepping up is Wimbledon Hawkeye.
01:52He will be facing older.
01:53He comes off the Nashville Derby win.
01:55What chances do you give him in here?
01:57Big step up.
01:58That was a good race, the Nashville Derby.
02:00One of the better races we saw at Kentucky Downs.
02:02He ran well.
02:03He's got to run better.
02:04What you see about this race, it's a lot of long shots on paper.
02:07I mean, a horse like Salawi is a grade one winner.
02:09Just won the Canadian International.
02:11But that race doesn't really stack up with the horses at the top, top level.
02:15And here, like Rebels Romance and Mini Hawk, do you give this long shot a chance?
02:20Nah, he got loose on the lead last time and held off Tawny Porter, who probably ran better.
02:25I think last time was the time to bet this one when he was 10 to 1.
02:28Mini Hawk is a three-year-old filly who's raced seven times.
02:31She has five wins, two seconds.
02:33One of the seconds was in her debut.
02:35She then won five straight races.
02:37She stepped up.
02:38She was favored in the Arc de Triomphe, which is one of the most prestigious races in the world.
02:43She finished second, facing older horses, facing boys in a field of 17.
02:49She, to me, is certainly the horse to beat in here and on any short list for the top contenders in this race.
02:55Yeah, the Arc horses have not done very well recently coming over.
02:59They used to do very well.
03:00I think the tides turn this year.
03:02We move to Gold Phoenix.
03:03Scott, what a cool horse this guy is.
03:05He's won the Delamar Handicap four consecutive years.
03:09He loves the Delamar turf course.
03:11And he's actually run two sneaky good races in Breeders' Cups in back-to-back years when he ran fourth and fourth against top, top-level company.
03:20But I think it shows you the difference between the U.S.-based horses and some of the international runners.
03:25Because Gold Phoenix is one of the better U.S.-based turf horses and probably the best one out on the West Coast.
03:31And he's 20-1 on the morning line in here.
03:34And we saw him win at Santa Anita just there, the replay.
03:36He can finish, but this is a whole different level of competition.
03:40We move to El Cordobes.
03:42Comes off of the third in the turf classic after winning the Sword Dancer.
03:45But he's drawn towards the outside for Charles Appleby.
03:48He's another one that didn't have things his way in the turf classic.
03:51He did have a good trip here, too, back in the Sword Dancer when he got the job done.

03:57Rosh Bar comes off of a fourth over at Longchamp.
04:00Rosh Bar just hasn't been in win form all of this year.
04:02He's 0 for his last six.

04:05He's 1 for 11 with six seconds.
04:07I'd argue he's never been in win form.

04:10We move to Tawny Port, another one who's not in real win form right now.
04:14He hasn't won in a couple years.
04:15He's been consistent with some runner-up efforts and some minor awards recently.
04:19Yeah, he belongs here, I think, for Miguel Clamon, who's had a great year.
04:23But winning the race does seem extreme.
04:24It's been well over a year.
04:27You've got to look past the 20-24 PPs to see his last victory.
04:30And the last two are big long shots at 30-1.
04:33You've got Hill Road, who was third.
04:35And now he's going to have to step up and face older in here.
04:39Yeah, Hill Road's been disappointing.
04:40He finishes better on the dirt, as it turns out.
04:43He had that big run in the juvenile last year.
04:45But he's very much up against it.
