00:16huge he cut the hair of j-lo jackie chan russell crow kind of these a-list stars so what you see
00:24on the video is two men running they weren't just out for a leisurely jog he had been hit in the heart
00:37he was uh slashed across the neck uh deeply didn't appear to poke a fight so that would lead us to
00:43believe that he was taken by surprise we intentionally placed them next to each other
00:54i'll fight this until i can't stand it no more a lot of uh admissions and then on top of that a lot
01:02of sex a travel size toothpaste tube filled with semen it's a case about greed it's a case about lust
01:09deception disloyalty treachery duplicity
01:24the victim was a celebrity hairstylist in los angeles fabio
01:53cementilli it was the daughter it was uh isabella uh cementilli who called in very upset
01:59get close to him and try to wake him up
02:02she had found her uh father uh slumped over in the in the back of the residence uh the patio area
02:20my name is ryan verna i was a detective for the los angeles police department i was assigned to this
02:25case the uh the night the incident occurred he just like smoked cigars uh back on the patio and
02:31so he was seated in a chair when he was attacked he had been attacked in all the the right places
02:36if you wanted to kill somebody i mean he had been hit in the heart he was uh slashed across the neck
02:42uh deeply and also hit in the femoral artery you could tell there were no defensive wounds
02:46didn't appear to put up a fight so that would lead us to believe that he was taken by surprise
02:51neighborhood surveillance video showed two figures heading up the street to the seven tilly home
02:56so what you see on the video is two men running and uh there's a man in the front he's wearing a green
03:04uh sweatshirt pulled over his head cinched tight to where you can only see about this much of his face
03:10and he's followed by another uh male that's appears to be more heavy set his sweatshirt was
03:15like a burgundy color and uh same thing hoodie over the top cinched down to tiny little uh hold
03:22the see-through they weren't just out for a leisurely jog the next piece of video that we have is
03:28uh fabio cementelli's uh porsche it's being driven away from the location and uh there's a few different
03:35frames in there where you can see that the person driving the porsche appears to be wearing that same
03:40green sweatshirt it came at a time when local tv news was warning about a rash of what were called
03:49knock knock burglaries a crime alert tonight they knock on your door to see if you're home the lapd
03:54announced a task force to crack down on so-called knock knock burglaries in the san fernando valley
03:58they would go up to the front door of a residence knock on the door there was no response they would
04:04take you know small property and then they would get out but detectives wondered why if it was a
04:09robbery fabio's rolex wristwatch was not taken it was a high dollar item it just seemed odd these guys
04:15that were operating these crews the last thing they want to do was have a confrontation they wouldn't
04:21have continued on with this you know the burglary so that's why it stood out to us but that's what we
04:26had in the beginning fabio and his family had moved to california just a few years earlier from
04:33toronto welcome to hollywood
04:35in the billion dollar hairstyling industry fabio cementelli was a rock star and look who's sitting
04:45next to me fabio cementelli fabio cementelli here he was a celebrity he was huge my name is becky
04:54osmani i met fabio since the beginning days of my career he was my mentor he was everything fabio was
05:06a glamorous hairdresser say hello to the rest of your night once a week actually doing makeovers on a talk
05:15show host hey everybody fab here for fab style friday back here we're backstage at america's beauty show in
05:20chicago he cut the hair of j-lo jackie chan russell crow kind of these a-list stars my name is jesse
05:27hyde and i'm a writer with town and country magazine just looking at his videos on instagram
05:33he just loved hair and he loved to cut hair he loved the way it made people feel better about
05:40themselves his celebrity led him to becoming a vice president of a procter and gamble hair products
05:47line sun's going down meeting my team for some drinks and dinner and listening to uh elvis on
05:54sirius radio it doesn't get any better than that you have your beautiful wife you have your beautiful
06:00daughters i mean talk about living even though they were canadian they really had the american dream
06:07he and his wife monica were preparing to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary
06:13for me the first thing is uh my family comes first i've traveled the world i've been so fortunate
06:21i don't deserve any of this detectives wanted to know from fabio's wife if there was anything in
06:27their personal lives that could be a factor she was basically a stay-at-home mother
06:32maybe you know racquetball league at the la fitness we had asked her all the relevant questions you know as
06:38far as if there was you know a stalker in her life she's seeing somebody else was she followed that
06:44day did he have any enemies ultimately you know everything was no and in fact i think the verbatim
06:50statement from her at the end of that interview was my boyfriend is my husband but at a memorial
06:55service for fabio at the woodland hills home a neighbor became suspicious of a man she did not
07:02recognize who was spending time with monica and so we were sent images uh two pictures of a person that
07:09had shown up to the memorial in a second image you could see on his hand that he's got a bandage on one
07:15of his fingers one of those things you kind of stick in your back pocket it's not enough to do anything
07:19with at that point but definitely something of interest the forensics team had found drops of blood
07:24in the kitchen they thought would be from one of the killers and two weeks later the dna results came back
07:31from the lab we get a simple paper back that says that you know there's a hit the dna matched a man
07:37who had been convicted of a sex offense with a minor years earlier robert baker who it turned out
07:43was the mystery man at the memorial service it's like well here we go so now it's up to us to figure
07:50out who rob baker is um exactly what he's been involved in they discovered baker had worked in the
07:56adult film industry initially as a performer and later on as a manager he kind of ran in a pretty
08:04seedy environment where he's you know he's on adult film sets he's he's going to strip clubs and we
08:10get surveillance up on him as quickly as possible we want to see you know patterns of life uh you know
08:15who he's meeting with we're expecting to maybe run into our uh our second murder suspect detectives also
08:20followed him to the very same fitness club where monica cementelli belonged where he was a woman's
08:26racquetball coach so we asked her well you know isn't there like a director who's involved in this or
08:33uh you know the coach or league director and she said oh yeah i think his name is uh rob i think his name's
08:39rob rob what's our last name i think it's baker he's the racquetball league coordinator yes okay oh so when
08:47you went to the racquetball league then he's the coordinator yes he runs the leagues but i but we
08:53see him all the time at the gym great great person too and has you been to the house she has been to
08:58the house and i just don't know if it was after before and we left it at that we weren't trying to
09:03push hard the detectives did not tell monica about rob baker's dna found at the crime scene letting
09:10her believe their prime suspects were still the knock knock burglars in my mind you guys are 100%
09:16rolled out everybody loves everybody loves the only thing that struck us as odd was the fact that
09:24you know we didn't see uh tears flowing when she was you know having all this emotion and there was a
09:30lot of emotion the detectives decided to continue to follow baker and not immediately arrest him my
09:37thinking was that we have at least one additional suspect out about so it was definitely our purview to
09:45to keep working this case and to to find out what's going on and then one night they saw baker out on
09:52the town in los angeles with an attractive woman it was fabio cementelli's wife monica
09:59yes hi my name is monica cementelli i'm calling behalf of my late husband fabio cementelli
10:15within days of the murder monica was on the phone to fabio's employer procter and gamble to see what he
10:21had left her i need to know is am i the beneficiary is there a beneficiary otherwise we have to go to
10:27court she enjoyed living the life of a rich man's wife the good life in california um aspect of things
10:38for her my name is brad hunter i'm a national crime columnist for the toronto sun monica by day
10:47was you know devoted uh wife and mother and then by night she became you know something quite different
10:58monica had rediscovered herself when she was with baker one thing led to another and pretty soon the pair
11:06are having a a torrid affair she's telling her girlfriends that you know she's a new woman so now
11:14detectives confronted monica about baker's dna being found at the crime scene i can't
11:24believe that um i don't believe that rob did that and the only other thing i can think of that
11:35his dna would be in my house is probably when i cracked him in the hand when we played rackball
11:40um it's probably my racket it's probably on my shoes it's probably in the gym courts and i brought
11:47the towel home and that's the only thing i can think of that i've been thinking while i've been
11:52laying down there how can this dna be in my home so that's all i can really that i know
12:01but monica and baker continue to carry on their secret affair unaware they had both become prime suspects
12:09they would go to you know bars and comedy clubs and and act as if they were just a happy couple
12:16going on to websites uh swinger websites and meeting up with other couples
12:22lapd detectives followed monica and baker to las vegas where they had a wild weekend where she's outside
12:32for a cigarette and groping the doorman all sorts of nonsense filming and snapping pictures of you know
12:38raunchy sacks in the hotel room and police recovered surveillance video at a target store
12:45showing monica driving in and then meeting with baker about an hour before the murder and it's not
12:51like they meet inside the store where there's cameras they meet in the parking lot away from
12:54cameras just happens to be a far shot i mean i i think she's giving him final instructions you know
13:00he's out on the patio he's you know working uh home alone and then monica spent an hour inside the
13:07store leaving just after the murder happened i mean she set up an alibi to be away from the house
13:13right the relationship between monica and robert baker was crucial because obviously that pointed us
13:20to motive uh i'm beth silverman i'm a deputy district attorney at the los angeles county district
13:26attorney's office robert baker really had uh you know not even a dollar to his name and so
13:34if they were going to be together she was going to have to fund that lifestyle in june monica flew
13:40to toronto to accept a lifetime achievement award for fabio at the same time she's sending baker
13:46raunchy photos of herself in her hotel room so you know this is going to go south at some point you
13:53know it on monica's arrival back in los angeles she was arrested along with baker both charged with murder
14:01the police car was wired for sound and video what is going on i have no idea what the
14:23going on man what is this there's a warrant for your arrest for murder oh my gosh i just talked to
14:30the detective this morning oh my god my husband was murdered five months ago okay i'm listen i'm
14:37very sorry for the loss we could see and hear that they were whispering and had their heads down as they
14:43were whispering they were discussing you know the need to get lawyers not to talk not to say anything
15:01and not to admit to anything all of those types of statements that would be under the law considered
15:12to be uh consciousness of guilt i can't believe this is happening and when monica and baker were
15:20scheduled for court detectives continued to listen in we intentionally placed them next to each other in
15:27cells uh placed listening devices in those cells we should not be in here huh i know i know baby oh
15:38they're gonna hopefully they'll give you a bail i don't know i'm hoping they'll give you a bail you've
15:45never done anything you're a you know you're a housewife what the are they doing i don't think
15:51there's gonna be a bail and over the next six years when monica and baker were in and out
15:57of court detectives continued to listen in there's over 60 hours worth of uh conversation between
16:05them including statements by monica saying uh you know that they weren't going to take any deals that
16:13baker shouldn't take any deals him saying that he was going to take uh you know what they had done to
16:20the grave hey okay baby so you know we stick we stick with the we stick with the program okay
16:28okay you just uh just wait okay yeah just stick with the program okay i'm i'm not i'm not going
16:39anywhere i'll fight this until i can't handle no more nothing is okay about this not for me not for you
16:46say that again nothing is okay about this oh i know a lot of uh admissions a lot of
16:54co-conspirators statements and then on top of that a lot of sex they exchanged sexually explicit
17:02drawings romantic letters and this toothpaste tube i gotta say that was the first time uh in my career
17:11that i've seen defendants pass between themselves travel size toothpaste tube filled with semen you like
17:19your you like your present i do i love it i don't know are they gonna take this away from me put it
17:24on your hand you're so gorgeous baby oh you just like me a little bit oh my god i love you so much
17:31honestly i i've had you know i've had quite a few relationships with you not like this this is like
17:37different this is like supercharged weird it's weird and i've never synced up like this with anybody
17:49hey who's your eyes over there tell me you're gonna be okay baby come on tell me make me believe it
18:01you're okay even as they were locked up in the los angeles county jail facing charges of murder
18:14monica sanantelli and robert baker were planning their wedding
18:18this is a you know supposed uh house grieving housewife but she gets a tattoo on her neck that
18:28says ride or die monica proudly showed it to one of her daughters couldn't see it it says ride or die
18:37they support their mother 100 they're obviously angry and disappointed with you know the fact that
18:43she was having this affair and but they've never doubted in their mother's innocence
18:49covid and pre-trial hearings delayed the trial for monica and baker for some six years and then
18:55baker surprised prosecutors by going to court to admit he had killed fabio cementelli and that monica
19:01played no role baker the client wishes to plead guilty to all allegations and special circumstances
19:07is this correct is that what you wish to do sir yes sir all of a sudden in a
19:14moment of uh chivalry uh robert baker decides that he is
19:20solely responsible that monica didn't want anything to do with it he was a stand-up guy for uh for monica
19:26that he he was you know he was going to take the fall it presented a new challenge for the prosecution
19:34it makes it more difficult to prosecute monica's utility by herself right and it made it even more
19:40important to find the second person seen in the surveillance video with baker outside the cementelli
19:46home we had been working on the second person from the very beginning we had had numerous tips
19:53but really the pieces didn't start coming together until sometime in in 2023 a detective was assigned to
20:00comb through robert baker's messages again and found one the night of the murder to a christopher austin
20:06she you know dives deep into that and and finds out that christopher austin had flown to los angeles
20:13the day before the murder and uh and flew back the night of the murder i was seeing that chair over
20:19there seven years after the murder they finally had the second man a long-time baker family friend
20:27who by that time had become a court probation officer in oregon i'm really sad that i'm here i understand
20:35and to be honest with you um it's not the favorite part of our jobs okay especially people that um
20:46look like they're they're doing good their life's in order he was uh working for baker in the past his
20:52father grew up with robert baker so he trusted uh robert baker would be watching out for him austin
20:59agreed to cooperate and said baker had told him they were just going to rough up cementelli
21:05say why did you ask why did you ask why yeah he said uh she's in an abusive relationship and that's my
21:14girl and i was like oh okay so so how did it happen went in and it was one two three and go
21:26what do you mean one two three go uh uh uh rob counted he was like you better go i was like i
21:38don't you better go i want to take pain when i lost everything after that if i'm straight i don't know
21:47what happened with me but i just did what he said but what did he say he said we're gonna go get this
21:53okay so one two three here we go and then what does that mean go though you did what
21:59you went and i heard him well i wasn't just heard yeah i know so what do you see rob
22:11what's that held rob held him down what were you doing while he was holding him down his dad held him
22:19where where where are you holding him say him he's nice to recover holding him by his eyes i mean
22:31covering his eyes
22:35did you stop him at all
22:39i know this has been weighing on you a long time all right but it's important
22:44it's important for us to know how many times did you stop him what's that one where
22:57didn't they want to do this what's that i honestly detective i've always tried to do good
23:04you could tell that he was very remorseful that he was you know knew that he had screwed up his own
23:24life with this you are going to be charged you are going to be charged i mean i think you can understand
23:31there's really no way around that okay because we know we've got one other person
23:37to try and that's monica and we we you know there wouldn't be you without monica
23:44so we believe you that you got brought into this we do believe you but it seemed like he was getting
23:49all the information from her how did he know she was there he was there i believe him i believe the
23:55woman called him and told him and he told me okay did he tell you she said he's home yeah
24:01now they had the witness they needed to directly tie monica to the murder of her husband
24:16monica was in jail for almost eight years before this went to trial she's got gray in her hair and
24:22most of the trials seemed like monica wasn't wearing makeup she was
24:26uh demure she was wasn't uh you know she was more more mary poppins than porn star in this instance
24:35fabio's family was in the courtroom almost every day hello friends my sister and i are here in la
24:43we're proud to be here for him on his behalf and monica's family was also present
24:49it was a horrible experience for us my sister's character was assassinated all over social media
24:57newspapers the television she did horrible things with the affair and
25:04hit it and lied but she had nothing to do
25:08with fabulous murder does the prosecution have an opening statement
25:13what you're going to learn very quickly from the evidence is that the defendant is a master at
25:19manipulation and also a very convincing actress but if her beloved husband was murdered
25:27people would feel sorry for her she would be a victim after the murder you're going to learn that
25:33she behaved as if there was no danger as if her husband hadn't just been brutally murdered at her
25:38home my partner da heather stagel and i are going to ask that you find the defendant guilty of the
25:46charges that is the crime of murder of her husband fabio cementili thank you thank you let's have an opening
25:56statement good morning ladies and gentlemen it is our privilege and our great responsibility to be
26:06representing monica cementili monica can you stand up please
26:12we have not from the start of this case seven and a half years ago ever once contested that monica
26:25cementili probably made the most fatal mistake of her life when she entered into an affair with robert baker
26:33but that has nothing to do with monica wanting fabio dead or conspiring to kill him
26:45and you will learn that robert baker robert baker decided to take things into his own hands
26:55ladies and gentlemen after seven and a half years of waiting to finally have her day in court
27:02not guilty ladies and gentlemen will be the only just verdict in this case thank you thank you
27:16for the record can you say and spell your first and last name please
27:20christopher austin it wasn't until just a few months before the trial christopher austin was even located
27:26and now becomes the star prosecution witness in the case my name is tom jones i was on the defense
27:31team representing monica cementili at her trial the description he gave as to monica's involvement
27:39it's very vague at best now baker told you as you're headed out there as he testified that the
27:47front door is going to be unlocked i said the front door should be open
27:51open he opened meaning unlocked did he tell you how he knew that he told me he said she she's gonna
27:58leave the door when you got and when he said she did you did he tell you who she was
28:05uh the defendant when you got to the front door was it unlocked it was indeed unlocked
28:15uh i do have to ask you to walk through uh what happened when you came through that door
28:20uh baker had covered his mouth started stabbing him and he covered his eyes
28:30i stabbed him once what did baker tell you about it
28:35baker told me she's loaded she wants him gone she's gonna get paid it was nothing that was first
28:44hand nothing that he'd had a conversation austin directly with monica saying that she wanted
28:50fabio killed now again you never spoke to her about this correct yes sir you never saw her except
29:00at the gym correct and her home but there was no conversation at that time about killing her husband
29:07right no sir so other than that all the evidence or communications i'll put it that she
29:20was involved in any way with the planning and killing of her husband is that you say mr baker
29:26told you that right yes sir you didn't hear her voice correct that is correct you didn't see any
29:35text messages correct that's correct he was getting a very good plea deal in return for implicating
29:42monica and that we felt significantly undermined what he was saying is true austin's deal allowed
29:49him to plead guilty to second-degree murder and be sentenced to no more than 15 years in prison and you knew
29:55the only way you could save yourself was to testify on behalf of the prosecution correct
30:03to tell the truth yes and now you're lying when you say that monica simon tilly was involved
30:10in the planning and the murder of mr simon tilly you're lying about that to get a deal isn't that true
30:19no sir it is not
30:31and for the record say spell your first and last name please robert r-o-b-e-r-t baker b-a-k-e-r
30:38the first day that robert baker came into the courtroom to testify she was wearing makeup for
30:45the first time but monica's family said she had long since broken off the relationship with baker
30:51once he admitted to killing fabio she immediately cut all ties and called him a murdering bastard
30:57one of the key issues we have with baker is that there was a lot of material to make him
31:03look bad um he was someone who was a murderer he was in the porn industry he had previous convictions
31:12we always knew that it was going to be very difficult for the jury to hear someone like that
31:17and and sort of side with them i murdered him because i wanted her well you kind of had her
31:24already but not the way you wanted or what absolutely i i didn't have her the way i wanted
31:29her i wanted her i wanted to have easier access i wanted her to be around me and with me
31:36more like all the time you tell anything about the plans you had to kill her husband
31:41absolutely not and then the grisly details of the murder itself he got he got up real quick and he
31:50and he grabbed me by my by my uh by my my hoodie and grabbed my hand at the same my left hand at the
31:57same time and uh i'm struggling with him and and i'm trying to get away from him he's a pretty big
32:02guy then what and uh and i just kind of i said to myself i need to i need to get him off me i need
32:11to cut him i just need to cut him i need to cut him i took one stab again let let go of me he let go
32:17and i just kind of blacked out and just just try to get him off me and just kept cutting until he
32:22stopped until he got off me he's a sick man and he belongs in jail he manipulated coerced groomed
32:30many women in his life and austin christopher austin as well he got all these people to do things
32:37for him even if they didn't want to and monica's lawyers introduced the prison sex drawings the
32:45toothpaste tube and various sex acts to show that baker had manipulated her why'd you tell her pull her
32:53pants down jailing man jailing it's like golfing and bowling you gotta bowl you get you jail that's
33:01how how you jail when you when you do time you ever tell her instruct her to perform sexual acts with
33:09other men on the bus for your benefit i might have maybe i might have did you ever say you need
33:22to be a whore out there for me while you can then tell me about it could have been maybe why'd you do
33:30that it's jailing now you are a convicted murderer correct yes and you committed a heinous crime
33:42yeah i did but are you telling the truth about what happened it's nothing to lose thank you
33:49john i'm nothing clear keep a man far nothing to lose right
33:57yes prosecutor beth silverman asked baker about what he said on the videos recorded in jail
34:04you told her we got to get married babe and she said i love you and you said babe i'm not making no
34:13deal i'll take it to my grave baby you remember that i gotta hear it i don't remember here saying it
34:22but i'm sure i gotta hear it first and you said i know but i'll take the blame i'll lie and then she
34:29whispered again and said wait listen listen and once again you said i'll lie i'll lie and i'll take it
34:38remember that i don't remember the conversation but i'm sure if you said it's there it's there
34:44he did exactly as we thought he would do i mean he couldn't tell enough lies he just kept changing
34:49the story from moment to moment at one point baker said he killed fabio because he abused monica
34:56and is that again another uh lie that you are again telling to the jury to try and dirty up
35:07a completely innocent man who was slaughtered by you sitting on his back patio just telling you the
35:15truth now i'm a sword to this now so i'm swearing through it i swore to it i'm telling you i just
35:20felt that way i really did you felt that way yes i did are you finding it difficult to keep your
35:28story straight you're asking four questions at a time when i try to answer you cut your non-responsive
35:33move to strike sure again you're finding it hard to keep all of your stories straight
35:42sustained what consequence might there be if you were to lie to this jury i don't this all uh
35:49i don't know i don't know that's i have no idea i'm sure you'll find something now we had two
35:55murderers one of whom is now a defense witness saying monica had nothing to do with it
36:00and the other murderer now being a prosecution witness saying that monica was involved
36:09monica simon tilly's fate would depend on which killer the jury believed
36:13it's been about 40 days that we've now been in trial as i told you at the beginning of this case
36:31during opening statement that this would be a case about betrayal it's a case about greed it's a case
36:39about lust deception disloyalty treachery duplicity each of those words perfectly describe this defendant
36:54this defendant who was the mastermind behind her own adoring husband's gruesome murder
37:04the defendant wasn't going to do the dirty work herself right she's not going to kill fabio uh but
37:12she knew that baker would because baker is a stone cold killer again she's the one that brought us all
37:20here right she's the one who destroyed so many lives and their entire family no one else did that there's no
37:28one else to blame for any of that i hope that uh your deliberations go smoothly thank you we're not
37:38here to decide whether or not monica simon tilly was a bad wife an adulteress we're here to decide you
37:46are here to decide and she's been proven guilty of first degree murder conspiracy to commit first
37:53degree murder beyond a reasonable doubt and i submit to you if the evidence was that clear it would not
38:03have taken eight years and eight weeks of testimony to prove it you have got to connect monica simon tilly
38:15to robert baker and this conspiracy now how do you do that if it's not true and i submit to you
38:25it's not true and it's not been proven true and it won't be proven true boy did she make a stupid mistake
38:32and she is guilty of a lot of things stupidity duplicity lying adultery all the things you saw up there
38:47all the things but she is not guilty of murder thank you thank you
38:56the jury was out for almost nine hours all the evidence connecting her to the murder seemed very
39:08circumstantial and the longer it goes on you start to think well maybe this is good for the defense
39:15juror number 10 i understand the jury has reached the verdicts is that correct
39:17the people of the state of california versus monica cementelli we the jury in the above entitled action
39:29find the defendant monica cementelli
39:35guilty of the crime of murder in violation of penal code section 187a a felony is charged in count
39:42one of the indictment we further find the murder to be of the first degree
39:47we further find the allegation that the murder of fabio cementelli was intentional
39:52and carried out by the defendant monica cementelli for financial gain
39:57we the jury in the above entitled action find the defendant monica cementelli
40:00guilty of the crime of conspiracy to commit murder
40:05she's she just kept shaking her head and saying no and i think the gravity of the whole thing just
40:12fell on her where it's like i've been in jail for eight years i'm not getting out
40:17i'm not getting out of my mind i'm not getting out of my mind i'm not getting out of my mind
40:23at her sentencing both of monica cementelli's daughters spoke on her behalf
40:28my name is jessica and i'm the oldest daughter of monica and fabio
40:32for the past eight years my sister and i live with an open mood we only had five months to give
40:39our father before we lost our mother too i won't have my dad to walk me down the aisle one day i
40:45won't have my mom to help me when i become a mother myself and yet i will keep going i'll keep
40:51fighting for justice for the truth and for my mom i love you and i'm giving you every ounce of strength
40:59i have for the days ahead good morning judge cohen members of the court and all present
41:08my name is isabella i'm the youngest daughter of monica and fabio cementelli
41:13it was isabella who had first discovered her father's bloodied body my dad was the biggest loss
41:20of my life and it pains me that he will never know this version of me but i know for a fact he would be
41:27proud of me speaking today honoring our family in a positive way now i hope you can understand why
41:35i stand by both of my parents they were the greatest people i've ever known i have hope justice will
41:42prevail over time to my mom and dad i love you i miss you and i will forever remember you dancing in the
41:49kitchen thank you i understand because obviously it'd be very hard to live with the idea that your
42:00mother set up your father and now you've lost both parents because your mother is such a selfish person
42:06listening to the evidence in this matter uh i do find that that was the mastermind uh in uh
42:13uh this conspiracy that commit murder baker did not have the intelligence uh to uh plan such a brutal
42:24well-thought-out slaughter a defendant was the prime mover uh in this execution of a human being
42:31and constantly i am utilizing my discretion to impose the more serious of the sentences
42:37been sentenced to state prison for the term prescribed by law which is life imprisonment without
42:42the possibility of parole there was definitely justice for fabio and she got exactly what robert
42:48baker got life without parole because she was convicted much as he was on all counts there's
42:53certain cases where are they're so just evil and devious that um that they would qualify for the
42:59death penalty and i think monica's lucky that the state of california doesn't allow for that right now
