00:40Stop moving!
00:42Search every town who's on the ground.
00:49I'm a woman in the air.
00:56First up, we're in Akron, Ohio, where local PD are chasing a fugitive wanted for grand theft and kidnapping.
01:06Earlier in the day, Akron police received a call from a distressed mother at a gas station.
01:13Akron 911, what's the location of your emergency?
01:16I'm at the Circle K gas station right here on bookstore.
01:20Somebody just stole my car.
01:21My son is in the car.
01:22You're at the Circle K?
01:24Yes.
01:25Oh, my God!
01:27Officers quickly tracked down the vehicle, and now, keenly aware of the one-year-old child in the backseat, they cautiously continue the pursuit.
01:37But it doesn't take long before the suspect begins driving recklessly.
01:42We are past the full field.
01:45These are 70.
01:47It's going to be about a 25 to 30-year-old black male, probably about 5 to 6, probably about 300 pounds plus, white t-shirt, blue jean shorts, and a scully cat.
01:57He's got facial hair also.
01:59He is getting on 77,000.
02:0177,000.
02:0277,000.
02:03With three cruisers close behind, the suspect makes a sudden and dangerous move.
02:08Coming up to Copley Road.
02:0977,000.
02:10Coming up to Copley.
02:11They're not off to Copley.
02:12I'm still behind them.
02:13As the wild chase continues through local streets, police fan out to try to cut off the suspect's route.
02:21I want to go through the walls.
02:24The beach is dead deep.
02:27Oh, damn it.
02:35In the midst of the chaos, Officer Kyle Cunningham inadvertently slams his car into another cruiser.
02:42He's injured and struggles to get out of his vehicle.
02:52You need to get away from that car, bro.
02:53It's on fire.
02:54It's on fire.
02:55Right now.

03:06Come on.
03:07Come on.
03:08Meanwhile, as other officers continue the pursuit, they're stunned at what the suspect does
03:13next.
03:14He's gone on Bellevue.
03:15He's gone on Bellevue.
03:16He's gone on Bellevue.
03:17Come on!
03:18Come on.
03:19Come on.
03:20Now.
03:42stops the car and removes the baby still in his car seat before leaving him on the side of the
03:48road and taking off again. The child's out of the car. Pursuing officers immediately stop to secure
03:55the baby who is unharmed. While officers take the child to safety, the suspect starts to
04:12slow down as the stolen car begins to malfunction. Police finally catch up to the suspect and pin
04:32him down on the front lawn of a local home.
04:39I'll keep them right where they are.
04:44Put your hands behind it back.
04:51Sir, do you have any weapons on here?
04:55The fugitive, ID'd as 21-year-old Jaden White, already had a criminal record and just two
05:07days earlier was arrested on robbery and gun charges. White was charged with robbery, grand
05:14theft, kidnapping, failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer and other
05:20charges. In a deal with the state, he pled guilty to abduction, an amendment of the kidnapping
05:26charge, and failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer. The other charges
05:32were dropped and he was sentenced to six years in prison. White also pled guilty to discharge
05:38of a firearm and aggravated robbery for the incidents that occurred a few days earlier. For those crimes, he
05:44received a consecutive sentence of nine to ten and a half years, making his total sentence for all cases 15 to 16 and a half years. He'll be eligible for parole after serving 15 years. Officer Cunningham, who crashed into the police cruiser, has fully recovered. As for the baby, he was soon reunited with his family.
06:08Next, we're in Indian Shores, Florida, where a county deputy and local police are pursuing a driver who fled from a traffic stop and ran a red light.
06:29Earlier, around 1.30 in the morning, Pinellas County deputy Joy Fuller reported this red car driving by her with a broken headlight and then coming to an abrupt stop in the middle of an intersection after failing to properly stop at a red light.
06:46Yes?
06:47I need you to pull over into that parking lot over there. You're in the middle of the road right now.
06:53I'm so sorry, but I'm not going to move my line.
06:57Okay. Can you pull into that parking lot over there?
07:00Each one.
07:01That bank right there. Because you're in the middle of the road right now.
07:05Well, I'm right.
07:07You're in the middle of the road. Go to that parking lot over there.
07:11Mm-hmm.
07:12You understand?
07:22Okay. Can you pull over to that or no?
07:24No, I'm not going to pull over.
07:27Okay. Well, you need to turn your vehicle off for me.
07:29No, I'm going to pull over.
07:31703. Can I have a route 294?
07:33Now, as the deputy calls for backup, the suspect seems to have had enough and is ready to move on.
07:40Yay.
07:42Deputy Fuller tries to open the driver's door without luck, and the suspect pulls away.
07:50As the deputy walks back to her car, local Indian Shores officers arrive on scene and begin pursuit.
07:57Minutes later, after the suspect runs over stop sticks, local PD catches up with her, including Officer David Martin, who's right behind her.
08:06The front driver's side tire is completely flat. It's about to flail off for a couple seconds.
08:12The suspect's car comes to a stop, and officers try to get her to exit the vehicle.
08:18Get out of the car!
08:20Get out of the car!
08:21Get out of the car!
08:22Get out of the car!
08:23Hands up!
08:24Driver, put your hands up until your hands outside of the vehicle.
08:28Officers are able to identify the driver as 65-year-old Marina DeFilippo and address her in her native language, Russian.
08:38But just as they do, officers notice something in her car that puts them on high alert.
08:44Oh, there's a gun. She's pointing it out.
08:46Squat car.
08:47Yep.
08:48Marina, you're offensive to this stallion. Drop the gun.
08:52Oh, she's going again. She's moving. She's moving.
08:56Despite heavy damage to her tires, DeFilippo begins driving away from the scene, and officers react.
09:04Hey, guys.
09:05Hey, get back.
09:06Make me a U-turn, guys.
09:07Make me a U-turn, guys.
09:08Driver, get down.
09:09Hey, everybody on the side.
09:11Yep.
09:12Yep.
09:13Over!
09:14Eventually, the suspect takes off, and Pinellas County deputies call in their MRAP vehicle.
09:20All right. Attempted pit. Still northbound through Whitehurst.
09:25The MRAP quickly catches up and executes a pit maneuver.
09:30Good pit. Good pit.
09:32The suspect's vehicle spins around and comes to a stop, facing the opposite direction.
09:38Though her car is now even more damaged, it doesn't look like the driver has any plans to stop.
09:44Officers open fire with less lethal bean bags and pepper balls.
09:51Get out of here.
09:52Get out of here.
09:53Get out of here.
09:54Suddenly, the suspect drives directly at Pinellas County Corporal Tyler Reed.
09:58Stop! Stop!
09:59Stop!
10:00And officers open fire with live ammo.
10:06After smashing into the corporal's door, the suspect's car gets wedged between two cruisers.
10:14He still got the gun!
10:15But she still doesn't seem ready to give up.
10:20Firearm, right hand!
10:21Firearm, right hand!
10:22Firearm, right hand!
10:23Firearm, right hand!
10:24Firearm, right hand!
10:26Firearm, right hand!
10:34The driver, who suffered three non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to her body, was taken to a hospital,
10:41treated for her injuries, and taken into custody.
10:44A handgun was recovered at the scene.
10:47Corporal Reedy suffered lacerations that require multiple stitches and staples in both sides of his head.
10:52He was treated and later returned to full duty.
10:55No other officers were injured in the incident.
10:58DeFilippo was charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer,
11:02attempted murder, and fleeing and eluding.
11:05She remains in jail on a $565,000 bond.
11:09DeFilippo pled not guilty, and her case is pending.
11:17Next, we're in Fort Worth, Texas,
11:20where officers are in pursuit of a convicted felon who just fled from a traffic stop.
11:27Earlier, the driver, 35-year-old Nicholas Sides, was pulled over for a traffic violation by Lake Worth Canine Officer Krista Segata.
11:35When she ran his license plate and discovered that he was on parole for an aggravated robbery conviction
11:42and on federal probation for unlawful transport of weapons, she called for backup.
11:47And when Detective Carly Page arrived, they cautiously approached the suspect's truck.
11:53Sides seemed to be cooperating, but as Officer Segata handed back his paperwork and reached for the door handle,
12:00Sides rolled up his window and put the truck in gear.
12:04Now the two officers pursue sides on local roads.
12:11When suddenly, he drives onto a resident's front lawn and plows through a fence.
12:26As seen on this home security camera.
12:35As officers arrive on the scene, Sides gets out of the truck and he's holding a gun.
12:41Shots fired. Shots fired.
12:50Male, white, gray, and black shirt.
12:53The officers manage to avoid injury and take cover behind a tree.
12:57Drop the gun! Drop the gun!
12:59Drop it!
13:00Drop it!
13:01Don't do that! Don't do it, sir!
13:04Don't do it! Please give it up, sir!
13:06Put the gun down! Put the gun down!
13:09Don't do it! It don't have to be your charge, man!
13:12Whatever you got!
13:14Put the gun down, dude!
13:17You haven't done anything too bad!
13:19Come on, stay where you're at, man!
13:21Put the gun down!
13:22Drop it!
13:23It doesn't have to be like this!
13:25It's always heavy!
13:26Dude, you're not in that much trouble! Drop it!
13:29It's not much trouble!
13:30No!
13:31It's just evading, dude! Come on!
13:33Come on, man!
13:34Drop it!
13:35Despite the officers' pleas, Sides gets back to the police,
13:38and Sides gets back in his truck.
13:40Back up. He might start riding us over.
13:42Back up to your unit. Come on, get covered!
13:44Get covered!
13:45He's trying to turn around and come back toward us.
13:47And takes off again.
13:49He's about to get out! He's coming out!
13:51Get out! He's coming out!
14:00As additional officers join the pursuit, the suspect pulls into this residential driveway, exits the truck, and runs toward the house.
14:09Sides enters the home, which officers soon learn belongs to his sister, and barricades himself inside as several additional officers and the Fort Worth SWAT team arrive on the scene.
14:21That's when the suspect calls 911.
14:24Fort Worth 911, what's the address of the emergency?
14:27I'm the guy having to stand off with the police.
14:29Okay.
14:30Why are you having to stand off with the police?
14:32It's a long story, but it's happening, and I'm trying to get a hold of my mom.
14:36She was in the house. I let her out so that she could go through the police.
14:40Okay. Stay calm. Just be with me, alright? I'm gonna try to help you out, alright?
14:43Stay calm. SWAT's gonna come in here. Just strap her in the front yard.
14:46Okay, well try to comply with what they're telling you to do.
14:48No, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not doing that. That's the issue.
14:51The standoff lasts for several hours, and at one point, Sides shoots fireworks at the officers.
15:00Finally, as day turns to night, Sides exits the house.
15:05A door!
15:06But he's still holding a gun.
15:07We need to put the gun down.
15:09We need to install this visually, Nick. Just drop the weapon.
15:13We need to take him down.
15:14Drop right there, Nick.
15:15Do not keep moving forward. We need you to drop the gun.
15:19Put your weapon down.
15:21If you don't want to hurt you, Nick, put your gun down.
15:25But we need you to put that gun down, buddy.
15:28Okay?
15:29We are not trying to hurt you. We're trying to resolve this peacefully.
15:32Sides takes a step forward.
15:34Stop right there, Nick.
15:36Do not keep moving forward. We need you to drop the gun.
15:40Stop. Do not move.
15:43Stop.
15:45When he fails to comply with their order, one of the officers fires a nonlethal shot at the suspect.
15:50After Sides is struck by the foam-tipped projectile, he turns his gun on the officers.
16:00A SWAT member fires back with a live round.
16:04And Sides goes down.
16:07As officers recover the suspect's gun, EMTs immediately provide medical assistance.
16:15Sides was taken to a local hospital, but he soon died from his injuries.
16:20No officers were hurt during the incident.
16:25Next, we're in Glendale, Arizona, where two fugitives wanted for stealing a bag of money out of a parked car are speeding through local streets while being chased by police and their alleged victims.
16:40Earlier, according to police reports, 56-year-old Cristobal Hernandez and his 29-year-old son, Joel Hernandez, went to a local bank and cashed a $50,000 check from a legal settlement and then drove to a nearby home to check out a truck that was for sale.
16:57When they arrived, they parked across the street from the seller's house, but left their car unlocked with the $50,000 cash inside.
17:06The seller, who was backing a car out of his driveway, soon noticed a man near Hernandez's car.
17:13But by the time he'd alerted them, the man had already taken the $50,000 and run back to a waiting vehicle.
17:20The father and son ran back to their car, but the suspect and a getaway driver had already sped off.
17:26Now, traffic cameras from all over Glendale pick out images of the pursuit as Cristobal, the father, dials 911.
17:35911, where is your emergency?
17:37I need help. They just stole $50,000 from me. I'm going down Glendale. I'm going eastbound.
17:43What happened?
17:44They stole $50,000 from me.
17:46$50,000?
17:47Yes. I need help. I need a police.
17:50Now we're heading northbound on 67th Avenue.
17:54We're going 150 miles an hour.
17:56Slow down, Joe. Slow down.
17:58$50,000. I have to get it.
18:00Okay.
18:01Dispatch notifies Glendale officers in the area who joined the pursuit.
18:06But about three miles into the chase, the suspect's luck runs out.
18:15The driver tries to blow through an intersection, but he doesn't make it and slams into this trailer.
18:21The driver grabs the bag of money from his trunk and takes off on foot.
18:30Joel, the son, chases after it, while Cristobal, who's still on the line with police dispatch, confronts the second suspect.
18:39Why'd you steal my money, bro? I need that money.
18:42Yeah, you did. You ran. You obviously did.
18:45Sir, can you separate from him?
18:46Get down. Did you f*** me?
18:48That's f***ed up, dude. That's really f***ing that you get to your fellow Americans.
18:52I don't want you to speak with him. I'm going to stay on the line with you. Don't talk to him.
18:56By now, more than a dozen Glendale police officers have arrived on the scene and take both suspects into custody.
19:04On your stomach. On your stomach.
19:07J.S. right here back.
19:09No mass people throwing this bloody kitchen. Trust me, I've been there.
19:13When we got off to get the truck, we had the money in the car, and me, an idiot, I didn't lock the car.
19:17Okay.
19:18And we were counting the money in there, and I think he saw.
19:20All right. Is that a prosecution?
19:22Absolutely. To the highest degree.
19:24Police say some of the cash fell out of the bag during the foot chase and was scattered all across the route.
19:31Officers were able to recover a total of $48,105 and return the money to the victims.
19:38The suspects, 22-year-old Raymond Pouncey, the driver, and 23-year-old Reginald Chapman, who initially took the bag of money, were arrested and charged with burglary and theft.
19:49They both fled guilty to theft and the burglary charges were dropped.
19:53Pouncey and Chapman were each sentenced to 90 days in the Maricopa County jail to be followed by three years probation.
