00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog, where today everything revolves around an absolutely exceptional vehicle, the Brabus Rocket GTS Mean Green based on the Mercedes-AMG SL63.
00:12This car is not for people who want to hold back. The name alone sounds like a declaration of war and that is exactly what it is.
00:20What Brabus has built here is a hand-crafted hybrid super sports car with brutal performance, in compromising technology and a look that makes an impression long before the first corner.
00:32The entire body is made of lightweight, high-strength exposed carbon fiber, which was manufactured in an autoclave using pre-press technology.
00:40So the focus here is not on show, but on substance.
00:43The strikingly green finish not only gives the car its name, but also makes it clear that this is not a production vehicle.
00:52Every inch has been thought through.
00:55From the carbon spoiler at the front, which reduces lift, to the huge air intakes for cooling, to the flared fenders, which increase the silhouette to around 2 meters wide.
01:05At the rear, there is a carbon diffuser and four titanium tailpipes framed by a rear spoiler and a ducktail, which together provide even more downforce.
01:16The drivetrain itself is in a class of its own.
01:19A 4.5-liter V8 Baturbo with 796 horsepower is supported by an electric motor with 204 horsepower.
01:27Together, they produce a system output of 1,000 horsepower and a torque of 1,820 newton meters, electronically controlled so that the massive power remains drivable.
01:40The electric motor is located on the rear axle, has its own two-speed transmission and is powered by a battery with 6.1 kilowatt hours.
01:49Power is transmitted via a new gear sports transmission, which can be operated either automatically or manually using shift paddles.
01:58And the results are impressive.
02:00From 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.6 seconds.
02:06200 kilometers per hour are covered after 9.5 seconds.
02:09300 are reached after just under 24 seconds.
02:13The top speed is electronically limited to 317 kilometers per hour.
02:19A high-performance sports exhaust system with active valve control provides the right sound.
02:26Depending on your mood, the car can be driven almost silently or roared through the area with a full V8 sound.
02:33Particularly striking are the red mood lights on the four tailpipes and many other carbon details that not only look good, but are also aerodynamically sophisticated.
02:43Brabos makes no compromises when it comes to the rims either.
02:46The forged monoblock P-platinum edition wheels in a central locking design come with carbon aeroblades for targeted airflow and better cooling of the brakes.
02:57And if you look into the cockpit, you will find a real masterpiece.
03:02Almost completely wrapped in green leather, combined with alcantara on the seats, headliner and pillars.
03:07The Brabos shell design, accentuated by double B embossing, extends from the seats to the trunk, including illuminated door sills, steering wheel, door handles and center console.
03:20Everything is handmade.
03:21Everything is coordinated, complemented by door elements in matte shadow gray and Rocket GTS logos in the right places.
03:29The dimensions of the vehicle are just as impressive, around 4.8 meters long, 2.0 meters wide, 1.3 meters high and with a wheelbase of 2.7 meters.
03:39The Brabos Rocket GTS mean green is only made to order and can be completely customized from the exterior to the last stitch in the interior.
03:50The price for such an exclusive car, according to US sources, is around 1 million dollars.
03:56That would be the equivalent of around 900,000 euros.
