00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today, we're talking about the new 2026 Ram Dakota Nightfall Concept.
00:08A robust, low-profile pickup that is unfortunately only intended for the South American market.
00:15While fans in North America are still waiting for the Dakota to return,
00:19a completely redesigned model with real utility and eye-catching design is already waiting in the wings in Brazil.
00:26The new Dakota is based on a classic ladder frame and shares the technical platform with the Fiat Titano.
00:34The whole thing is manufactured at the Stellantis plant in Córdoba, Argentina.
00:39But when it comes to design, Ram has made it clear that this is a true member of the Ram family.
00:46The front is dominated by a powerful Ram logo in the radiator grille and a continuous LED light strip.
00:52On the hood, there is a power dome with three orange marker lights, in the style of the large U.S. pickups.
01:01The drive is provided by a 2.2-liter turbodiesel with 200 horsepower and a torque of 450 newm.
01:09Shifting is done via an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF,
01:13which is combined with all-wheel drive as standard, which makes the Dakota a suitable companion even off-road.
01:19Particularly striking is the off-road setup with 33-inch tires on 18-inch rims with beatlock option,
01:27a Fox suspension, winch, underbody protection and massive fenders.
01:31The appearance is rounded off by bronze-colored accents, running boards, raised bumpers and a Ram with additional headlights
01:40as well as a visibly mounted spare wheel in the loading area.
01:44The rear is adorned with a large Ram emblem, accompanied by a Nightfall badge and a Turbo's lettering.
01:50The body is finished in a special paint finish, which is complemented by graphics and is intended to emphasize robustness and functionality.
02:00In terms of dimensions, the Dakota is in the range of mid-size pickups.
02:05The length is around 5.3 meters, the width around 2.0 meters, the height around 1.9 meters and the wheelbase around 3.2 meters.
02:14Production of the series version will start next year with a focus on Brazil and other South American markets.
02:23It has not yet been confirmed whether the pickup will also come to Europe or North America at a later date.
02:29Although the price has not yet been officially announced, based on similar models,
02:34it is expected to cost around €40,000 in the basic configuration.
02:38A separate variant is not expected to appear for the U.S. market until 2027, presumably as a 2028 model year.
02:48Until then, the Dakota Nightfall remains an interesting glimpse into Ram's ambitions in the mid-size segment,
02:54but only for the Southern Hemisphere.
