00:15Anyone looking for an affordable alternative to well-known hybrid SUVs such as the Toyota R or the Hyundai Son should definitely pay attention to this model.
00:23The Cherry Tego 7 Super Hybrid is technically based on the already well-known Tego 7 Pro.
00:30However, there have been hardly any visual changes.
00:34Instead, the focus is clearly on the revised powertrain and new equipment details.
00:40At its heart is an efficient 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 143 horsepower and a maximum torque of 215 newton meters.
00:49The combustion engine is supported by a powerful electric motor with 204 horsepower.
00:56The resulting system output is sufficient for dynamic driving performance, although Cherry does not specify an official total system output.
01:05The energy is supplied by a lithium-iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 18 kWh.

01:58The transitions between electric and petrol operation are smooth and barely noticeable.
02:02Anyone driving on electric will benefit from the direct throttle response and the whisper-quiet ride.
02:09There are three driving modes available, Eco, Normal and Sport, as well as three adjustable recuperation levels.
02:17However, the latter can only be changed via the central touch display when stationary, which is not entirely optimal in practice.
02:24Drivers have some slight criticism for the somewhat imprecise steering when turning sharply and the rather stiff suspension on the rear axle, which is particularly noticeable on poor roads.
02:38Inside, the Tego 7 presents itself in a modern and surprisingly high-quality way for its price range.
02:43The highlight is undoubtedly the large dual-screen display with a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches each, which is elegantly integrated into the dashboard.
02:54It is operated almost exclusively via touch surfaces.
02:58Even the climate control and the steering wheel buttons do without traditional buttons.
03:04The front seats are generously sized and offer electric adjustment with memory function, seat heating and even ventilation in the Ultimate model.
03:13The basic urban model, Cherry, does without some of these amenities.
03:18The choice of materials combines imitation leather, wood look and piano lacquer.

03:27The rear seat offers ample space for two adults with comfortable leg and headroom.

03:56There is also no electric tailgate, nor is there a full-size spare wheel.
04:00Due to the placement of the hybrid technology under the boot floor, Cherry only supplies a breakdown kit instead.
04:10In terms of equipment, the Tego 7 is extremely generous, especially considering its price.
04:15Starting at around âŹ23,000 for the urban version, you get LED lighting all around, automatic air conditioning, an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice control and various driver assistance systems.
04:30The Ultimate version, which starts at around âŹ25,000, also adds ambient lighting, puddle lights, a memory driver's seat, the aforementioned panoramic glass roof and a high-quality sound system with eight speakers from Sony.
04:47The safety equipment has also been improved.
04:50Eight airbags are on board as standard, including a driver's kneebag and a central front airbag.
04:55There is also an emergency brake assistant, a blind spot warning system, an active lane departure warning system, traffic sign recognition, fatigue monitoring and adaptive cruise control.
05:08The Ultimate model supplements this package with a 360 degrees camera, which makes parking in tight city centers much easier.
05:16An official handicap crash test rating for the hybrid version is not yet available.
05:22The warranty is particularly worth mentioning.
05:25Sherry offers a full 7-year warranty with no mileage limit for the Tego 7 Super Hybrid.

05:35The maintenance intervals are 12 months or every 15,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
05:42In summary, it can be said that the Sherry Tego 7 Super Hybrid offers an extremely interesting overall package.
05:48Modern technology, a long electric range, generous equipment and an impressive price make it a serious alternative to the well-known top dogs in the midsize SUV segment.
06:00With minor tweaks, such as in the steering or the operating logic in the cockpit, the Tego 7 could become a real insider tip.
