Der neue Bentley Bentayga Speed kommt jetzt mit V8 statt W12 – und bringt mit 650 PS und 850 Nm deutlich mehr Dynamik auf die Straße. In nur 3,4 Sekunden geht’s von 0 auf 100 km/h – schneller als je zuvor bei einem Bentayga.

Besonderes Highlight ist der neue Sportmodus, der mit strafferen Dämpfern, reduzierter ESC-Kontrolle und Launch-Control für echtes Fahrvergnügen sorgt – inklusive Driftoptionen. Der Sound wird durch eine serienmäßige Sportabgasanlage oder optional ein Akrapovic-Titansystem unterstützt.

Technisch punktet der neue Bentayga mit Allradlenkung und optionalen Karbon-Keramik-Bremsen – eine klare Ansage in Sachen Agilität. Optisch bringt er dunkle Speed-Details, große Felgen bis 23 Zoll und ein sportlich-edles Interieur mit neuer Steppung und Lederkombination.

Ein Preis ist noch nicht bekannt, doch der Einstieg dürfte bei deutlich über 200.000 € liegen. Dafür bekommt man ein Luxus-SUV, das Leistung, Optik und Ausstattung auf ein neues Level hebt.

00:04Today we're talking about the new Bentley Bentiger Speed with a V8 engine,
00:07which is not only faster but also significantly sportier than its predecessor.
00:14After Bentley discontinued the iconic 6.0L W12 engine,
00:18the new Bentiger Speed now relies on a revised 4.0L V8 Baturbo.
00:22This produces a whopping 650 horsepower and delivers an impressive 850 Newtons of torque.
00:33This allows the luxury SUV, which weighs around 2.5 tons,
00:37to sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.4 seconds,
00:41making it not only half a second faster than the old V12 version,
00:45but also a whole second faster than the regular Bentiger V8s.
00:48A key innovation is the new Sport Driving Mode.
00:55This mode firms up the dampers by 15%,
00:58reduces the intervention of the electronic stability program
01:01and even enables drift angle and power steering including launch control.
01:06All this in a massive luxury SUV that was associated more with ride comfort than lateral acceleration.
01:12The sporty driving experience is supported by a standard sports exhaust system or,
01:20optionally, by an Akrapovic system, which provides the right sound.
01:25In addition to the new Sports Mode, the familiar Comfort and Bentley modes are also retained.
01:31Bentley has also upgraded the technology.
01:34The new Bentley Speed has all-wheel steering and, as an option, even carbon ceramic brakes.
01:38A clear sign that Bentley wants to raise the handling and dynamics of this large SUV to a new level.
01:48Or, as Bentley puts it,
01:49this should fundamentally change the expectations for handling,
01:53road holding, acceleration and steering behavior for a luxury SUV.
01:58Visually, the new Speed presents itself with darkened trim elements,
02:02speed lettering on the outside and inside,
02:04and 22-inch rims.
02:0523-inch rims are also optional.
02:11Various brake caliper colors are available, as is a black roof.
02:17The interior features a new precision diamond quilted pattern,
02:20combined with a darker secondary leather,
02:23which now appears as the dominant color and lends the interior an even more sophisticated touch.
02:27Bentley has not yet announced an official price,
02:33but it is safe to assume that this new Ben Tiger Speed in the V8 version
02:36will be even more expensive than its predecessor with a V12.
02:42You can therefore expect a price of well over $200,000.
