Bentley Motors hat sein brandneues Design Studio eröffnet – und das an einem ganz besonderen Ort: dem historischen „Front of House“-Gebäude aus dem Jahr 1939 in Crewe. Das ikonische Gebäude wurde umfassend restauriert und gleichzeitig neu gedacht, mit dem Ziel, ein kreatives Zentrum für die Gestaltung der zukünftigen Bentley-Modelle zu schaffen.

Ein Highlight des Umbaus: die Rückkehr der originalen Messingtreppe von 1939, liebevoll restauriert und mit einer besonderen Plakette versehen. Auch die berühmte Fassade wurde von Bentleys eigenem Designteam neu interpretiert – mit dem neuen „Bentley Wings“-Logo, dem erst fünften in der 106-jährigen Geschichte der Marke.

Das neue Studio ist etwa doppelt so groß wie das vorherige und vereint zum ersten Mal alle Designbereiche unter einem Dach – inklusive Colour & Trim, Mulliner, sowie den UX- und UI-Teams. Die offene Struktur soll Kollaboration fördern und Raum für kreative Prozesse schaffen, die maßgeblich die Entwicklung der kommenden BEV-Modelle beeinflussen.

Im Rahmen der Transformation zur nachhaltigen „Dream Factory“ ist das Design Studio ein weiterer Meilenstein in Bentleys Strategie, Historie zu bewahren und gleichzeitig mit modernen, digitalen Arbeitsumgebungen den Wandel in der Automobilwelt mitzugestalten.

00:00Bentley is on a transformational journey it's right in the middle of a strategic

00:11program to reinvent the entire range for an electric future and part of that is

00:18an enormous investment here at the H of Bentley in crew but I've come to see a

00:23very specific building which is truly amazing and this is it this is one of

00:32the oldest buildings here at the home of Bentley it was built in 1938 in this

00:37wonderful art deck style but this building isn't just historic it's iconic

00:43too it's been visited by royalty and what I love is that they made the

00:48conscious decision to retain the old building but reinvent it for the 21st

00:52century and there's nothing greener than recycling and all beautiful

01:05everything at the front of the building is about celebrating the past but

01:09everything at the back is all about the future this is a new chapter in Bentley's

01:15design history and I have to see what they're doing here it's phenomenal it's

01:19innovative it's creative and it's created a wonderful environment for the Bentley

01:24designers to create those beautiful cars of the future

01:29you know what I think is really interesting it's like the Bentley designers

01:37are reinventing their range of cars for a greener and more sustainable future but

01:42at the same time the team here are reinventing this old building for a

01:46greener future too and it doesn't get much better than that I can't wait to see it

01:51finished

01:52so this is it the new Bentley design sensor all beautifully restored and

02:02converted this is a building that not only represents Bentley's past but Bentley's

02:07future too the duel in the cloud well look there you've got the new Bentley

02:12emblem it's the fifth iteration in the 106 history of Bentley

02:16soon as you walk in you see the beautiful original 1930 staircase and all of its glory

02:27it's been beautifully restored it just shows that when this was designed it was

02:32built to last

02:33you've got the beautiful brass hand the word bow the marble on the one of my

02:41touches is this tiny little brush strip that divides each section of stall to need

02:45yours and the result is a design space that respects and honors Bentley's past but

02:50also very much looks to the future you've got 50 designers all under one room

03:01and then this is the meaning level and what's magical about the architecture here is that

03:06Mina is looking down on the design studio now today it's very busy we're not just opening this

03:12building but we're also launching the Bentley EXP1 concept car so it's a high of activity down there

03:19but once everything is cleared this is the space where all the clean models that the cars will be

03:25a magnificent space that's all about creativity now I just wanted to show you this very special at

03:36this moment on the post of the staircase there's a little marker there it just commemorates the old

03:43staircase meeting the new little brass plate 1939 meets 2025 I have to say this is one of my favorite

03:54parts of the building I'm on the roof garden and here we have a whole new story to the building the

04:01roof garden is unbelievably important it's not just a space where all the team can hang out if you get a

04:06fantastic view over the campus it's a place to test out the look of the cars you want to see them in

04:13daylight so they come up and left and they go on these term tables I have to say it's been an honor

04:22and a privilege to have seen the transformation and be part of the opening remember this is one of

04:27the most historic and iconic buildings on the Bentley site and 86 years later it's been reborn as the new

04:36home at Bentley design and it's very much the beating heart of the Bentley campus for more videos simply subscribe
