00:05Wir haben 50 Charities hier und wir sind hier für die harde Arbeit, die sie tun.
00:11Wir wollten einfach sagen, danke, heute.
00:13Wir haben eine College fulle von Aspirant Young Engineers, 300 von ihnen,
00:16und sie alle interessiert in die Führung in Engineering und Design.
00:20Bentley unterstützt uns bei der Industrie-Placementen,
00:23manufaktur-Tour-Tour-Tour-Tour-Tour-Tour-Tour-Tour-Tour-Tour-Tour.
00:26Pure Insight is a charity supporting young people coming out of children's homes and foster care.
00:32We have a mentoring programme where we recruit and train local people to become volunteer mentors to a young person.
00:39We have a drop-in cafe where young people can come together with volunteers, cook a meal,
00:43but also doing things that they perhaps couldn't afford to do.
00:46The charity is the Friends of Crew South 1 Alleyways.
00:50The Alleyways were full of fly-tipping, full of rubbish.
00:54We work with the residents of Crew South on a Thursday evening for a couple of hours.
01:00And these Alleyways have now become safe spaces for children to play.
01:04They've become places that adults can sit and meet for a drink.
01:09So our charity is based in Congleton.
01:11We've got a sensory centre where we've got a load of amazing facilities, great volunteers and staff.
01:17We've also got our big pink bus which we're very proud of and that project's been funded by Bentley.
01:23We've been into ten schools and nurseries and we've been working with families, working with children.
01:28We've been letting them get onto the bus, having a look at what their sensory needs are.
01:32It's important to celebrate the local community at these sorts of events.
01:36All of us work in our own little bubbles sometimes.
01:38And I've already met a number of organisations this evening that I know that we can support.
01:42And then other people have offered to give us work placements for the students
01:45or come in and do industry talks.
01:47So it's been a fantastic networking event.
01:48We have given away three awards looking at innovation, collaboration and also people.
01:55And they've been so well received.
01:57So I'm absolutely delighted and I hope that this will become an annual event.
02:01It was a real honour to receive this award this evening.
02:04I accept this on behalf of everyone else in the charity.
02:06I am literally just one person.
02:08I have an incredible team of people who are working to make sure that young people get the support they need.
02:13We've got an incredible network of volunteers from the local community.
02:17If we give up their time for a minimum of two years to support a young person.
02:21The award is amazing because it sort of recognises what can be done when a lot of people come together with a single common aim.
02:32When we've received the Innovation Award from Bentley, we're absolutely overwhelmed, weren't we Kate?
02:38Yeah, it's brilliant. It's just a really lovely recognisation really.
02:42Not just what we've done in schools in Crewe, but also the need that is there and that that need needs meeting.
02:48It's great that Bentley have recognised the work that we've done and seen it as innovative.
02:54Because, you know, we pride ourselves on being creative, don't we? Innovative.
02:59We do. Lots of creative solutions.
03:01We have a strategy called Advancing Life Chances and within that we have a number of programmes that support people here in Crewe,
03:09but also nationally with a programme linked to locations around our retailer network.
03:14But we also encourage colleagues to do what they can.
03:17Many colleagues have the opportunity for volunteering within Bentley.
03:20There's also match funding through our charity committee and payroll giving is also an option.
03:26Bentley has been in Crewe since the 1940s producing cars.
03:29It's really important that we are a key partner within the town.
03:33Community engagement is a top priority for our organisation and we're delighted that we've been able to bring so many wonderful charities together tonight
03:43to recognise their really hard work and to bring people together for great collaboration.
03:48We will continue to be a good partner for people in Crewe for many years to come.
