00:38clear. The Leopard 8 is no ordinary family SUV, but BYD's incompromising answer to the challenge
00:48of off-road driving. With this model, the Chinese manufacturer confidently enters the market for
00:55high-performance off-road electric SUVs with a concept that is both sophisticated and robust.
01:02At its core is BYD's so-called DMO platform, an architecture developed specifically for off-road
01:09hybrids. The vehicle is powered by a plug-in hybrid drive that combines a turbocharged gasoline engine
01:16with powerful electric motors. The result is a system with over 680 horsepower and more than 920 Nm of torque
01:25more than enough not only to climb mountains, but also to literally drag them along.
01:31An intelligent all-wheel drive system constantly distributes torque between the wheels,
01:37ensuring maximum traction even on the most difficult terrain. Whether mud, snow, or sand,
01:43with the specially programmed off-road driving modes, the Leopard 8 always remains controllable.
