00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today, we're talking about a real sensation in the American motorsport world.
00:08Ram is officially returning to the NASCAR Truck Series.
00:12Starting in the 2026 season, the well-known pickup brand will once again be on the oval
00:17tracks of this long-established racing series, competing against strong opponents such as
00:21Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota.
00:24This is Ram's first return to NASCAR in over 13 years.
00:30It's last appearance dates back to 2012.
00:35At that time, Ram withdrew from active racing, but now the brand is back with a specially
00:39developed racing truck based on the Ram 1500.
00:42Ram made a grand announcement about its return during the race weekend at Michigan International
00:47Speedway.
00:52The presentation was elaborately staged and was personally conducted by Tim Kuniskes,
00:56the brand's CEO.
00:58He emphasized that the desire for a comeback had always been present, both among customers
01:04and dealers.
01:06But there was a lack of a well-thought-out concept to be truly competitive.
01:10Now this plan is in place and the company wants to do more than just ride along.
01:14The company is striving for victories and fresh enthusiasm in U.S. motorsports.
01:19The entry is made with an all-new Ram 5100 concept truck, which was revealed on social media just
01:26a few days before the official announcement.
01:32Designed by the in-house design team, the vehicle is visually based on well-known models such as the
01:37warlock, rebel and air hoe, but has significantly more aggressive lines and revised air intakes.
01:45These are tailored to a high revving racing engine with over 9000 revolutions per minute.
01:51The dominant Ram logo in the radiator area is particularly eye-catching, clearly emphasizing the brand identity.
01:58There is also something going on under the hood.
02:03As part of the return to racing, Ram will also be offering the Ram 15 and the familiar 5.7L Hi-V8 in
02:09the production model from 2026.
02:12This move is part of a comprehensive product offensive that aims to redefine the brand's performance focus.
02:17The exact information on the teams that will use the new racing print is not yet available.
02:26However, Ram announced that it will release more details later in the year.
02:31According to Ram, the decision to enter the truck series was a deliberate one.
02:36Over 40% of NASCAR fans own a pickup truck themselves.
02:40Being involved in this series therefore not only provides motorsport experience,
02:44but also creates a direct connection to the end customer.
02:48The truck series is also considered to be particularly physically demanding.
02:53An ideal venue to demonstrate the performance capabilities of the new racer.
02:59NASCAR has also welcomed the return with open arms.
03:03John Probst, NASCAR's Chief Technical Officer, praised the decision as a significant moment for the entire sport.
03:10Ram brings qualities such as performance, durability and innovation to the table.
03:17Values that are an excellent fit for NASCAR and the truck series in particular.
03:23Ram's official start in the NASCAR truck series is planned for the 2026 season.
03:29More information on the race strategy, drivers and technical package will follow later in the year.
