00:00Das war's für heute.
00:30Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog, where today we present the brand
00:58new Ferrari 969 Spale.
01:01A further development of the already very sporty 296 GTB, the 296 Spale brings even more power,
01:09even less weight, and even more refined driving dynamics to the road.
01:13The tradition of incompromising Berlinettas from Marinello is thus impressively continued,
01:19and after models such as the 360 Challenge Stradale, the F430 Scuderia, the 458 Spale,
01:27and the 4880 Pista, all attention is now focused on this latest masterpiece.
01:33With the 2696, Ferrari aimed to increase power by 50 hp, reduce weight by 60 kg, and refine
01:43driving dynamics.
01:46Ferrari itself promises that the Spezial will be the most fun-to-drive model ever developed.
01:51A big promise that is reflected in the car's design.
01:57The collaboration between Silzentrum, headed by Flavio Manzoni, and the engineers led by
02:03Jean Maria Fuggen resulted in a vehicle with a radically sporty appearance.
02:07While the standard 296 has a rather gentle aura, the Spezial presents itself extremely aggressively
02:14and is likely to appeal particularly to a younger audience.
02:18At the front, the wide-open muzzle is immediately noticeable, complemented by a suspended splitter.
02:25On the sides, the air caps, which perform an essential aerodynamic function, attract attention.
02:30Starting from the center of the front air intake, a channel for the aero dampers runs to the hood
02:38and ensures stabilization of the vehicle during braking and acceleration.
02:44Also characteristic are the three slits in the wheel arches, traditionally reserved for special Ferrari versions.
02:52Also new are the star-shaped rims with a net-like structure, made entirely of carbon.
02:56The rear is dominated by the redesigned side-cod wings, which, together with the retractable active spoiler,
03:05create a dynamic line.
03:08The central exhaust is enormous, while the entire rear end impresses with its geometric design and recessed taillights.
03:17The center bar is particularly prominent in the open aperta version.
03:21The metal roof can be opened and closed in 14 seconds and for up to 40 kilometers per hour.
03:27The interior of the 296 spale is just as consistent.
03:32Superfluous elements have been rigorously removed or replaced with more efficient solutions.
03:38The front drawer, for example, is completely missing,
03:41and the door panels consist of a perforated piece of carbon fiber that also houses the speakers.
03:47The center tunnel is also made of carbon fiber and features the distinctive painted gear selector.
03:53Physical buttons return to the steering wheel, so that the driver isn't distracted by touch controls in this true racing car.
04:03Ferrari has also made sweeping technical changes to the powertrain.
04:06The twin-turbo V6 now produces a whopping 700 horsepower thanks to a higher combustion chamber gasket.
04:14This sets a new record for specific power in this category.
04:17Through targeted milling and the use of aluminum pistons and titanium connecting rods,
04:25as already used in the F80, the engine weight was reduced by 9 kg.
04:29The 296 special thus weighs just over 1,400 kg, while the aperta version weighs around 1460 kg.
04:41The 8-speed dual-clutch transmission has been further optimized and is now even faster.
04:48As has the steering, which has been redesigned for improved lateral acceleration.
04:53The sound has also been extensively worked on.
04:57Ferrari removed some sound deadening materials and redesigned the exhaust pipes
05:01to provide an even more intense sound experience.
05:03The electric motor received a 13-horsepower increase in power and now produces a peak output of 180 horsepower in qualifying mode.
05:15The e-Manatino system offers performance and hybrid undrive modes.
05:21The latter allows purely electric driving for over 25 kilometers and reaches a speed of 135 kilometers per hour.
05:28Compared to the original 296 GTB, the engine in the Spezial is mounted 5 millimeters lower, which further improves driving dynamics.
05:41To efficiently transfer the full 880 horsepower to the road,
05:45the electronics were extensively revised and specially developed Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires were used.
05:53In practice, this translates into impressive performance.
05:56Acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour takes just 2.7 seconds,
06:02and from 0 to 200 kilometers per hour takes 7 seconds.
06:06The top speed is electronically limited to 350 kilometers per hour.
06:13A lap time of 79 seconds on the Ferrari Fiorano test track demonstrates the vehicle's potential.
06:20Although the Ferrari 292 Spezial will not be a limited production run,
06:25its production run was deliberately kept short to ensure exclusivity.
06:30Delivery of the Coupe is scheduled for early 2026.
06:34The Aperta will follow shortly thereafter.
06:37Prices start at around 407,000 euros for the coupe and approximately 462,000 euros for the Aperta version.
