00:00Welcome to the video from Tuningblog.
00:08Today, we're all about the new model generation of the Gili Galaxy E8 sedan.
00:14The revised version of the Gili Galaxy E8 for the 2025 model year is available in China at a starting price of around 9,500 euros.
00:24This makes the basic version around 2,800 euros cheaper.
00:30However, it offers 25 kilometers more range and 67 horsepower more power compared to its predecessor.
00:37The top-of-the-range Galaxy E8 features the Hauhan assistance system developed by Seeker, which includes, among other things, a LiDAR sensor on the roof.
00:46The Gili Galaxy E8 originally launched in January 2024 with a price tag between around 22,300 euros and 29,100 euros.
00:56Since then, around 32,500 units have been sold.
01:01In order to further boost sales, Gili has made the new version more powerful and at the same time more affordable.
01:08Visually, the 2025 Galaxy E8 remains largely unchanged, apart from the new identifying badge, the top version, the LiDAR sensor.
01:16Other features include recessed door handles, a sloping roofline, and red brake calipers.
01:24The dimensions are 5 meters long, 1.9 meters wide, and 1.5 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2.9 meters.
01:31The ground clearance is 136 millimeters, while the drag coefficient is particularly low at 0.199 cd.
01:41For comparison, the similarly sized Mercedes-Benz EQE is 0.220 cd.
01:46Inside, the Galaxy E8 relies on a huge 45-inch 8K display with a screen area of 1,130 x 138 millimeters.
01:56The monitor is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 18295 processor, while the cockpit uses the MySue Flick OS.
02:05Other highlights include a head-up display, a 23-speaker audio system, heated front and rear seats, and particularly comfortable front seats.
02:13The rear-wheel drive version of the Galaxy E8 uses a 400-volt system and has an electric motor on the rear axle that produces 335 horsepower.
02:26This corresponds to an increase in power of 67 horsepower compared to its predecessor.
02:31This enables the car to accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.90 seconds.
02:37No detailed information about the battery was provided at the presentation.
02:41However, according to CLTC, the range is between 575 and 700 kilometers.
02:46This is an increase of 25 kilometers compared to the 2024 model.
02:51The all-wheel drive version of the E8 uses an 800-volt high-voltage system and two electric motors with a total output of 637 horsepower.
03:01This means that the sprint time to 100 kilometers per hour is just 3.49 seconds.
03:06Thanks to an announcement by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology,
03:12it is known that this version is equipped with a 75-kilowatt-hour LFP battery, which enables a range of 6,620 kilometers.
03:22It supports 5.5C fast charging, which can charge from 30% to 80% in just 8 minutes.
03:28According to Geli, the Galaxy E8 charges 1 kilometer per second.
03:34The price of the new model ranges between around 9,500 euros and 25,800 euros, depending on the features.
03:41This makes the E8 2,800 euros to 3,300 euros cheaper, while the range and performance have been increased.
03:51There is also currently a limited-time discount that will reduce the prices to around 19,000 euros to 24,600 euros.
04:01These improvements could make the Galaxy 8 a serious contender in the highly competitive Chinese market.
