00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog about Geotrack Vans and their
00:11latest camper van conversion based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a wheelbase of 4.32 meters.
00:19As always, you can find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
00:23Geotrack Vans, a company based in Boulder, Colorado, specializes in high-quality,
00:30yet affordable camper van conversions. So far, there have been two basic layouts,
00:36the Albatross and the Convoy, which are based on the shorter wheelbases of the
00:40Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and the Ford Transit. But now the company has ventured into a
00:46larger version of the Sprinter with impressive results. A look at the exterior of the camper
00:53reveals some useful upgrades. On the hack are two carriers from Owl Vans, one of which
00:59holds a spare tire, while the other offers an aluminum transport box with a bike rack for two
01:04bikes mounted above. Running boards and body extensions are attached to the sides to increase
01:12the vehicle's width. These extensions include sliding windows with insect screens. The front
01:20remains simple with a bull bar and two attached auxiliary lights. The roof of the camper is
01:26particularly interesting. It houses a large Nomadic Cooling X2 air conditioner, a flat-mounted
01:33Starling satellite dish, and the highlight for family trips, a super-Pacific cloud-cap pop-up roof tent.
01:39Three 300-watt solar panels and a maxer fan are also installed on top.
01:48This four-season tent is easy to pitch. A gentle push upwards and the gas struts do the rest.
01:56Three closable windows and a comfortable, self-inflating mattress complete the roof tent.
02:01Inside, the functional and open layout continues. There is no partition between the driver's cab and
02:09the living area, which makes the space appear more spacious. The design combines pale green cabinetry
02:16with bamboo elements on the ceiling and work surfaces. If this style isn't to your liking,
02:22there's the option to customize the interior. Right next to the entrance is the seating area.
02:30A double seat with safety belts can be folded up to create space if needed.
02:36Additionally, the rotating driver and passenger seats are designed to be rotated backwards to expand
02:41the seating area. A table is located in the center of the seating area, ideal for meals, laptop work,
02:50or board games. The kitchen is located on the driver's side and offers two ample work surfaces.
03:00A black sink with a swivel faucet, an 800-watt microwave,
03:04a 115-liter Dometic refrigerator with a small freezer compartment, and a single induction hub.
03:13Two USB ports and two power outlets complete the kitchen equipment.
03:17The water tank is housed in the lower cabinet. A 19-liter container can be removed or emptied
03:25directly downwards via valve. On the opposite side is a large bench with storage space underneath.
03:35This also conceals a boxeio composting toilet. A small swivel table is attached to the bench and
03:42provides additional storage space. Directly next to the entrance is a simple control panel with a
03:48thermostat for the spa auxiliary heater. A touch screen for monitoring and controlling the EcoFlow
03:54electrical system, as well as switches for the interior lighting. There's no shortage of storage
03:59space. Two drawers, a base cabinet, and two wall cabinets provide space for smaller items.
04:05A large storage compartment above the driver's cab and two additional wall cabinets in the sleeping area
04:12provide additional storage options. The largest storage space, however, is in the rear area,
04:19the so-called garage. There's plenty of room for bulky items. If necessary, the bed frame can be
04:26removed to use the entire space for transporting cargo or larger objects. The technology is cleverly stowed away.
04:33The left-hand box above the wheel arches houses the water system with a 91-liter freshwater tank,
04:41an inline water filter, an electric water heater, and an outdoor shower.
04:48The right-hand box contains the EcoFlow power system. The rear bedroom offers two reading lights
04:54and a ceiling-mounted air conditioner, which ensures a pleasant temperature on warm days.
04:59Those who prefer natural ventilation can simply open the two windows.
05:06The price for this new Sprinter conversion hasn't been announced yet, but it's likely to start at
05:11around €48,000. This price refers exclusively to the conversion and doesn't include the base vehicle,
05:20which Geotrick vans can provide upon request. Did you find the information about the Mercedes-Benz
