Boxing champion Gervonta Davis is facing serious accusations from his former girlfriend, who has filed a civil lawsuit in Miami-Dade County alleging battery, kidnapping, and three additional charges connected to an incident earlier this week.

According to the complaint, filed Thursday, Courtney Rossel claims Davis entered Tootsies, the Miami gentlemen's club where Rossel worked as a VIP cocktail server in the early hours of Monday, October 27, and assaulted her—allegedly choking, grabbing, pushing, and striking her on the back of the head.

Rossel’s attorneys, Richard C. Wolfe and Jeff C. Chukwuma, have also sought a domestic violence injunction against Davis, Wolfe told BoxingScene on Thursday.

The lawsuit further describes Davis as having a “history and pattern of violence against women,” noting that he had allegedly been abusive toward Rossel on several prior occasions and had threatened her life multiple times before this latest incident.

Davis, an undefeated three-division world champion with a record of 30 wins, no losses, and one draw (28 by knockout), is still scheduled to participate in a much-anticipated exhibition bout against Jake Paul on November 14 in Miami, which will be streamed on Netflix.
