00:10innovative Maserati MC20. Maserati presented an impressive new edition of its super sports car
00:17at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. This new version of the MC20, developed in close collaboration with
00:26the Polytechnico di Milano, sets new standards in autonomous vehicle technology. The MC20 silo
00:33presented here is equipped with a fully autonomous driving system based on artificial intelligence
00:38and developed as part of a project between the Polytechnico di Milano and the National
00:43Center for Sustainable Mobility. The aim of this project is to validate autonomous driving
00:50technologies safely and efficiently under real-world conditions. It is particularly noteworthy
00:56that the autonomous MC20 has already made racing history. It took part in the prestigious 1000
01:05MLIA races in 2023 and 2024. In November 2024, the autonomous MC20 coupe even set a world record.
01:18On the runway of Piacenza San Damiano Airport, the sports car reached an impressive speed of 285
01:24kilometers per hour in difficult weather conditions, including thick fog. Without a human driver on
01:32board, Sergio Mathu Savarese, the scientific director of the project and director of the Department of
01:39Electronics, Computer Science and Bioengineering at the Polytechnic of Milan, highlighted the importance
01:45of such extreme tests for the further development of the safety and reliability of autonomous vehicles.
01:52At CS25, the Maserati MC20 will be honored in two ways.
01:58Firstly, the coupe that holds the speed record will be the official safety vehicle at the autonomous
02:03challenge at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which will take place on the 9th of January.
02:08Secondly, the convertible version of the MC20 Zello will be exhibited at a stand dedicated to Italian
02:16innovation in the field of connected and autonomous mobility.
02:21This exhibition was organized in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency, the Association of Italian
02:28Automobile Manufacturers and the Association of Italian Workshop Equipment Manufacturers.
