00:21The Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 expands the well-known 650 family with a stylish scrambler, bringing a breath of fresh air to the model range.
00:35Since March 2023, there has been a lot of speculation about the design and name of the new 650 scrambler.
00:43Variants such as Scrambler 650, Scram 650, Sherpa 650, and Interceptor Bear were discussed,
00:50but since October of this year at the latest, there has been clarity.
00:56Australian Homologation officially confirms the name Interceptor Bear 650.
01:01This means that the new model joins well-known 650cc siblings such as the Interceptor, the Continental GT, the Super Meteor and the Shotgun 650.
01:11The B has a clear scrambler note and is equipped with a new USD fork and modified shock absorbers,
01:17which provide a sea of suspension travel and ground clearance.
01:20Exactly what you would want from a real scrambler.
01:26Also particularly interesting is the modified 2-in-to-1 exhaust system, which nestles much more closely to the engine housing,
01:33giving the bear a more robust look and setting it apart from previous models.
01:37The familiar robust steel chassis has been retained, but there are exciting innovations in the tires and rim sizes.
01:48Instead of the 18-inch wheels familiar from the Interceptor, the B uses 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels.
01:55The tires are a perfect match for the scrambler style.

02:06The bar's new ground clearance is an impressive 184mm, and the scrambler's unladen weight is 216kg, making it solid yet maneuverable.
02:15The new Interceptor B650 also sets new standards in terms of technology and the cockpit.

02:27Instead of the familiar partially analog round clocks of the Interceptor,
02:31the bear will feature a modern TFT display with aero navigation and connectivity options.
02:35The teaser images, which appeared at the end of October, also indicate an LED headlight and LED indicators,
02:42which further emphasizes the bar's modern character.
02:46The classic Aeroil-cooled Rehein two-cylinder engine remains unchanged, which will please many fans.
02:52With a crankpin offset of 270 degrees, 648 cubic meters of displacement, 47 horsepower at 7,300 revolutions per minute
03:04and a maximum torque of 52 Nm.
03:08At 5,150 revolutions per minute, the bar perfectly meets the requirements of the A2 driving license class.
03:17After homologation in Australia and with the one in Milan just around the corner,
03:22the Interceptor B650 should only be available on the European market in a matter of weeks.
03:29It is expected that it will be officially presented at the beginning of November
03:33and that its striking color scheme will turn heads.
03:40The price has not yet been officially announced, but based on the current models,
03:44the bar is likely to be at the upper end of the existing price range,
03:48between 7,690 euros and 7,890 euros.
