01:19On Wednesday, the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, announced that the National Bolivarian
01:25Armed Forces had intercepted two drug trafficking aircraft from the north that had violated Venezuelan

01:31During his visit to the De Cara al RÃo Comune, President Nicolás Maduro reiterated that mercenaries
01:37of the CIA had been captured and that they were planning to attack US vessels.
01:43He also stated that the objective of this act was to blame Venezuela in order to justify an
01:49escalation or confrontation between the peoples of the region.
01:54On the other hand, President Nicolás Maduro also announced that he had submitted a constitutional
01:58consideration to the Supreme Court of Justice based on Article 130 of the Constitution of
02:06the Republic, which authorizes the stripping of nationality and the application of relevant

02:18In this regard, the president specified that the defense will continue to be strengthened,

02:33We go now to Chile as workers from the Confederation of Municipal Health Employees held a national
02:38strike to protest the proposed 2026 budget freeze put forward by the government of Gabriel Boric.
02:46The protesters expressed the rejection of a series of measures and the government is seeking

04:28This is the 44th extension of the measure.
04:30The initiative was supported by 57 of the 60 deputies and is defended by President Nayib
04:35Bukele's party, which argues that the extension seeks to capture the last gang members.
04:42In this context, the government assures that the homicide rate has shown a significant decrease
04:46thanks to the measure, though the cost to human rights, according to the organizations that
04:53remain in the country, is very high.
04:55These initiatives estimate that between 300 and 400 people have died in state custody under

05:36As we continue with more information, in Brazil, Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes ordered
05:41Rio de Janeiro Governor Claudio Castro to explain the police operation that left 121 people
05:48dead and 113 arrested in the northern part of the city.
05:53The judge ruled that Governor Castro must clarify and explain the police maneuver, as was also
05:59requested by the National Human Rights Council.
06:03In this regard, Magistrate de Moraes will hold a hearing on November 3rd, to which the governor,
06:08police officers, and other persons involved in the operation must attend.
06:13The Moraes ruling is part of the claim of non-compliance with the fundamental percept of the favelas,
06:20which monitors the problem of police lethality in Rio de Janeiro.
06:24The deadliest police operation in Rio de Janeiro's history left more than 100 dead.
06:46Among those killed were for police officers.
06:49The others, mostly young black men, were considered disposable by Governor Claudio Castro, from the

10:33request by the countries of this alliance to respect the agreements in force on the use
10:39of nuclear weapons, not to turn the sub-region into a war soon, and to respect international law.
10:45Moving on to other topics, Hurricane Melissa reduced its intensity to a Category 1 storm after
11:05leaving a trail of destruction and more than 30 fatalities in the Caribbean.
11:10The most affected country was Haiti, which has reported so far 28 deaths at least and 10 missing
11:17people, with people trapped by building collapses and river overflows.
11:22In Jamaica, 77% of the country is without electricity and much of the territory was cut off.
11:28Although only eight deaths have been confirmed, Jamaican authorities warned that the death toll
11:34would rise as rescue operations continued.
11:37The hurricane made landfall in Cuba last Wednesday as a Category 3 storm, and despite its weakening,
11:44it continues to pose a threat to the Bahamas.
11:53Precisely in this context, Cuba's President Miguel DÃaz-Canel held the first assessment meeting
11:59in Havana after Hurricane Melissa hit the east of the country.
12:02The Cuban president highlighted the representative and the preventive work that was carried out
12:08in the previous days to the impact of Melissa, asserting that a group of measures were taken to face
12:14the hurricane during its passage. For his part, the president of the Cuban Institute of Meteorology warned

13:37that have been proposed by the municipal and provincial defense councils in relation to evacuated persons,

21:42In the context of the meeting held in South Korea between US President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, the two countries have agreed to call off a mutual escalation in their country's trade work.
22:02In a praise conference and statement, Trump said that the agreement would remove barriers to the export of strategic and critical materials and could be renewed annually.
22:14According to the agreement reached, the United States would reduce current tariffs on Chinese imports by 10%, while Beijing also announced the suspension of reciprocal port fees applied to the US shipping sectors.
22:28The meeting, the first between the leaders in six years, also seemed to provide a key opportunity to both heads of state to highlight their interest in stabilizing the tense relationship between the two countries.
