Der Hyundai Insteroid ist alles andere als ein typisches Elektroauto. Basierend auf dem kleinen Hyundai Inster wurde hier eine extreme Designstudie geschaffen, die den elektrischen Mini-SUV in einen muskelbepackten Mini-Rennwagen verwandelt. Breiter, lÀnger und mit jeder Menge optischer AggressivitÀt ausgestattet, zeigt Hyundai hier eine radikale Spielart der ElektromobilitÀt. Mit 2,04 m Breite, 4,2 m LÀnge und einem Driftmodus macht das Showcar vor allem optisch ordentlich Druck.

Im Innenraum ist alles auf Leichtbau und Motorsport getrimmt: kein Schnickschnack, dafĂŒr offengelegte Technik, Gitterrohrrahmen und ein riesiger Handbremshebel. Ob dieses Konzept jemals auf die Straße kommt, bleibt offen – aktuell ist der Insteroid vor allem eins: ein Statement fĂŒr mutiges Fahrzeugdesign.

00:03Today we're talking about the Hyundai Instoid,
00:06a spectacular design study that transforms the electric mini SUV Insta
00:10into a wide, aggressive mini racing car on steroids.
00:14With the Instoid, Hyundai is presenting a bold and playfully designed show car
00:19that goes far beyond the series production model both visually and technically.
00:23The basis is the fully electric Hyundai Insta.
00:26But what is presented here is anything but production-oriented.
00:30The name Insteroid
00:32is a combination of Insta and Steroid and underscores the sporty and pumped-up approach of this concept vehicle.
00:40Designed for a younger target group and inspired by video games and digital racing,
00:44the Insteroid's philosophy is similar to that of the Renault 5 Turbo 3e.
00:49Loud, wide, and incompromising.
00:52A full 43 cm wider than the P4 and 4.2 m thanks to new add-on parts such as a redesigned front lip,
00:59while the height has increased to just over 1.7 m thanks to the distinctive rear spoiler.
01:05The headlights retain their position but are now housed in a redesigned front apron.
01:11The color scheme is dominated by a contrasting black and white,
01:14interspersed with bright orange accents on the front, side skirts, and rear.
01:20The rear doors had to give way to the extroverted design of the R5 Turbo,
01:24underscoring the incompromising racing approach.
01:29Illuminated model lettering on the rear completes the striking appearance.
01:33Inside, the Insteroid becomes even more radical.
01:36Everything superfluous has been removed.
01:38The interior has been stripped bare.
01:40The tubular space frame provides additional rigidity and immediately creates a race car feel.
01:47The cockpit displays, battery, and steering column remain uncovered.
01:51Only the dashboard, partially covered by a mesh, brings back a touch of functionality.
01:57New sports seats, a minimalist steering wheel,
02:01and an oversized handbrake lever continue the paired-back motorsport concept
02:05and do justice to the Insteroid name.
02:07Hyundai isn't revealing any technical specifications at this time.
02:12All that is certain is that a drift mode and a racing-like sound are intended to ensure plenty of driving fun.
02:18Whether this bold concept will go into production is uncertain.
02:22Currently, the Insteroid serves primarily as a design statement for the brand.
02:26However, a small series production is certainly conceivable and would certainly cause a stir.
