00:00Hello on the Tuningblog Channel. Today we have another product for you from Man-Gol.
00:09It's a dashcam and one that doesn't get in the way with cables. There are cables lying around
00:19here but you won't see them in the end and for me that's something that's extremely rare
00:25in this segment I think is particularly cool because of course it's always a matter of
00:31taste but personally I'm someone who can't stand it when vehicles are upside down somewhere in the
00:37cable. When they're hanging somewhere in the vehicle cable, yeah that's not for me, right?
00:43And especially with a dashcam like this as you can see here you have a cable for the rear view camera
00:47then you have a power connection cable. That means there are two cables jingling around somewhere
00:51and at the very least, right? And then there's usually a big suction cup or something for
00:57mounting and that's not my thing at all at least for me personally. It also always depends on where
01:03you install it. Maybe you have it in the company's vehicle like a truck transporter or whatever
01:08then it might not be so dramatic but if you have a private vehicle and look at the look of the car
01:15I don't know like mine. I want to test it in the X2. It's a daily driver, right?
01:22It's a normal, what do you call it? Family car. I can never stand it. It's not my thing at all.
01:27And that's where this camera comes into play which integrates seamlessly and is integrated directly into the rain sensor.
01:37It comes in two halves. You put them together like this, plug them together, and the cable is done.
01:42So that would be the explanation in two seconds. It's not that much more. In this case a 128 gigabyte memory card is included.
01:51I think it's also available in a smaller size with 64 gigabytes if I remember correctly.
01:57Yes, in the mall shop. Just as a bit of information, the camera is also available without a rear view camera.
02:03However, you should think about that beforehand because retrofitting it later is not possible.
02:08That means you can't say, okay, I'll buy the camera for the rear now and plug it in.
02:13That won't work. So you have to decide in advance which camera you want.
02:18By the way, they are available for various manufacturers in the shop.
02:21It's best to take a look there. I'll list everything here.
02:25And the same applies to the complete technology.
02:28It's best to read a blog article about it that was written, which is noted below in the article description.
02:34Because of course I'm not going to list every little detail about the camera in a video.
02:38I don't think that's the most interesting thing.
02:40So it has all the important functions.
02:42It has a 4K front camera with an ultra HD resolution.
02:47Then the camera in the back is 1080p.
02:49In the front there is a 170 degree wide angle.
02:53In the back there is a 40 degree wide angle.
02:55And then it starts with all the usual functions of a dash cam, let's say a loop recording, as far as overwriting is concerned.
03:03Then there is a built-in G sensor.
03:05It has Wi-Fi and an app.
03:07I'll show you the app later.
03:09And yes, a good night vision function is also advertised.
03:14We'll see about that.
03:15At the end of the video I'll show you a couple of clips from the daytime drive and the nighttime drive.
03:21Both in the front and in the back.
03:23And yes, I would say that I'll go out into the car now.
03:29I'll install the camera.
03:32I've already removed the original rain sensor cover from the vehicle.
03:38Of course it's a bit different for every vehicle.
03:40You'll have to check it out for yourself.
03:41It's relatively simple on the X2 and it's simple on many vehicles.
03:45But please look it up online to see how it works.
03:48I won't necessarily show you that now.
03:50But I'll at least show you how to install and connect it here.
03:55Since I'm alone again, I can still film step by step.
03:58It already looks a bit wild at the top.
04:00I've removed the flap.
04:02You actually just pull it apart in the middle.
04:04The original flap is two parts and then that's it.
04:08Then you see this little cable here.
04:10That's where the Y adapter goes.
04:12It's all self-explanatory.
04:14That's why I'm not going into too much detail here, right?
04:16So you plug it in.
04:18In the end, this cable here remains.
04:21Which you can see here blurry or sharp or whatever.
04:24Well, there's only one left, right?
04:28You then connect it to the camera here.
04:32It has an extra GBS sensor here.
04:36That wasn't ordered.
04:39That means this cable remains free.
04:41Otherwise, this is the power cable.
04:43So what's connected here, so to speak?
04:47And then you have this here.
04:49This is for the reversing camera.
04:50I'll connect that here too.
04:53Since I'll probably install the camera here permanently.
04:57I might have to take it apart again later because I'm only installing it now so I can show you the video.
05:04In any case, you have the option of running the cable along the top here with the reversing camera, right?
05:10It's quite simple.
05:11On the roof rack and everywhere here, including where this airbag cover starts, you can get behind it with a plastic spatula, which is included, by the way.
05:20You can get behind it relatively easily.
05:22You know, you clamp the cable behind it everywhere and then you lead it all the way to the back.
05:26I'm not going to do that here now.
05:27I have to see where exactly I can do that first.
05:30That's a bit more complicated.
05:31In any case, as you can see here, the cable is incredibly long.
05:33That's definitely enough.
05:35I'm going to run it across the interior first so I can show you the functions just for your information, right?
05:41So this is what it looks like now.
05:43As I said, I'm alone.
05:44I can't show you how to put it together, but it's really easy.
05:49You need both hands to press these two parts together from the left and right.
05:55I can also tell you that there's more than enough space up here for all the cables.
05:58This GBS cable is also hanging down here.
06:05I'll just push it in now.
06:07It works really easily here too.
06:09You can easily fit the cable in there.
06:11Everything's great.
06:12You don't have to worry about that at all.
06:13In my opinion, you can even insert this adapter in there.
06:17And then, yes, the cable that goes to the camera, this narrower part, comes out with this one.
06:23There's another way, though, by plugging it together and then letting this adapter disappear up here in the headliner.
06:29It's all simple.
06:30Actually, a very easy installation in, I'd say, five or ten minutes.
06:35At the most, you'll have it in, even if it's your first time.
06:38Uh, yeah, otherwise, this is what the camera looks like now.
06:45Of course, I still have to hide the cable a bit and connect the rear camera.
06:50You can see it here.
06:51Oh, I just noticed, wait a minute, I haven't pressed it all the way together yet.
06:55We can still do that.
07:00Exactly.
07:01That's it.
07:02It definitely fits nicely.
07:04Exactly.
07:08Yes, exactly.
07:10Now you can see it like this.
07:11And the whole point is that you can't see it.
07:15So now it's like an, I don't want to say invisible camera, but there's nothing hanging around on the window.
07:26Exactly.
07:27This is what it looks like inside.
07:28It's already running and it's already made a noise.
07:30I'll connect the rear camera now, hide the cables a bit here, and then we'll continue.
07:36Okay.
07:36So, of course, I don't have the cleanest windshield here and it's a bit complicated in general.
07:43Um, the camera's just there so I can show you the video, right?
07:47You still have to come up with something for the permanent installation.
07:50Um, I want to make it a bit less conspicuous.
07:51It will probably go up here in this area, then hide the cable here.
07:55That shouldn't be an issue so far.
07:58Otherwise, I don't necessarily expect the best film quality from the camera in the back.
08:03The reason for this is that I have these additional windows in the vehicle.
08:07Um, yes, for window tinting, so to speak.
08:09And yes, they make the rear window nice and dark, but of course, I don't think you can
08:15overestimate the quality of the cameras filming.
08:20Um, that's why I don't have another vehicle right now.
08:22I'm not taking the window out now because it's already fixed it.
08:26I don't want to say glued in, but there are these little brackets in there.
08:29And so it has a stay.
08:31Also, I think the rear camera is 1080p, as I said, but you can't tell from my video how it films.
08:38I think, uh, it will definitely be of poorer quality.
08:42So let's get to the app.
08:44In this case, it's the sky cam.
08:46You see, you press it when the camera is running best.
08:50So what does best mean?
08:51Of course, when it's running, go to add camera here, then search for.
08:56Press.
09:09Connect.
09:11That will be displayed here now.
09:14It's this W97 something up here.
09:17The password is from 1 to 8.
09:18I think you can change that, too.
09:26And then the camera is connected, I hope.
09:31Exactly.
09:43And yes, now you can switch through all the settings here.
09:47You can pause the recording, for example.
09:50Uh, did I press that now?
09:52I think, uh, wait a minute.
09:54Ah, yes, he just mentioned start recording.
10:02Yes, then you can take photos here, right?
10:05The camera has now been switched on from the front.
10:08Then here is the switch to the back.
10:11That looks pretty cool, to be honest.
10:13It probably looks even better on the computer when you look at it on a larger scale.
10:17I'm surprised by the resolution.
10:19On the off, because of this sun protection glass, it works really well.
10:24It's also really fast.
10:26Everything is really smooth, right?
10:27And then you have all the settings here.
10:29I won't go through them in detail, right?
10:31There are countless options from resolution to photo resolution.
10:35E.G. 12 Mbit.
10:37Uh, that's quite a number.
10:40Ah, then the video resolution is now set to 4K.
10:42Then this loop function is set to 1 minute.
10:45So that whenever nothing significant has happened, the videos are only recorded for 1 minute.
10:50And then a new video starts.
10:53And above all, they are also overridden automatically.
10:55That's a legal regulation here.
10:58Yes, so to speak, right?
10:59You can adjust the exposure compensation.
11:02Yes, you can adjust all sorts of things.
11:04There's a parking monitor, motion detection.
11:06And so on and so forth.
11:10Um, I'm not going to go through the menu with you here.
11:13You've basically seen what the camera looks like in the vehicle.
11:17And that's what matters.
11:18I think it looks cool.
11:20Because you can't see it.
11:22Or at least you don't perceive it.
11:23As, how should I say, an external device, right?
11:26It looks like a permanent installation.
11:27Um, that's the important thing.
11:30And yes, if you're interested, you can, of course, order it.
11:35There's a link in our blog article.
11:37And of course, there's also one in the article description below.
11:40And I'll show you a few quick shots here each for 20 or 30 seconds.
11:45Driving during the day and driving in the dark.
11:49So you can literally form your own opinion.
11:54Yes, exactly.
11:55So if it helped you, please subscribe.
11:56It would be really cool if our channel grew a bit more.
11:58And I'll say until the next video, ciao, ciao.
12:03The recording shows the cam during the day in good weather and clear visibility.
12:07So that the license plate and surroundings are clearly visible.
12:26This setting shows the rear camera, whose field of view is okay, but not outstanding.
12:36Which is most likely due to the aforementioned additional glass for tinting the rear window.
12:43The following situation shows the cam at night where it is more difficult to recognize a license plate, although not impossible.
13:03The situation is different with the rear camera.
13:20Nothing can be seen here, which would probably be the same without the additional glass.
13:27However, this was to be expected due to the technology.
13:30For us, the result is a normal image that is comparable to other camps.
13:34And we'll see you next time.
13:48We'll see you next time.
13:48We'll see you next time.
