00:10With the Vanquish Volante, the British manufacturer is not only presenting a new open-top sports car, but is also claiming to have created the fastest and most powerful front-engined roadster in the world.
00:20The Volante shares the title of fastest and most powerful front-engine production car currently available with the also-new Coupe.
00:32The vehicle is powered by a new 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, producing 835 horsepower.
00:39This almost doubles the power of the first Aston Martin V12 engine since its introduction 25 years ago.
00:46Back then, it was 426 horsepower.
00:50Maximum torque has also been dramatically increased, from 543 to an impressive 1,000 Nm.
00:59This maximum torque is available at just 2,500 rpm and remains constant up to 5,000 rpm.
01:07The predecessor required twice the engine speed to reach its maximum speed.
01:12The top speed of the Vanquish Volante is 314 kmh.
01:17Despite the increase in power, the weight has only increased moderately by 95 kg.

01:31Power is transmitted to the rear axle via an 8-speed ZF gearbox.
01:35This also houses an electronic differential, identical to that of the Coupe, which can be switched from open to fully locked in just 135 milliseconds.
01:45In combination with the new electronic stability program, this should raise agility, control, and safety to a new level, particularly in low-to-medium speed corners and during rapid lane changes.
02:00In addition, steering response is sharpened, while stability in fast corners is not compromised.
02:08The basis for these dynamic driving characteristics is a bonded aluminum structure with significantly improved underbody stiffening.
02:16This provides 75% greater lateral rigidity than the previous top-of-the-line convertible model and brings structural performance closer to that of the Coupe.
02:27The folding fabric roof can be opened in just 14 seconds and closed in 16 seconds while driving at speeds of up to 50 km per hour.
02:40It is controlled via a metal switch in the center console or by remote control within a 2 meters radius.
02:45Particularly noteworthy is the thermal insulation, which Aston Martin claims is on the same level as the Vanquish Coupe.
02:56When retracted, the roof remains class-leadingly low at just 260 mm and fits unobtrusively behind the seats under the torno without disrupting the flowing lines of the body.
03:09Visually, the Vanquish Volante stays close to its Coupe brother.
03:12The front bumper, side wings, and grille adopt the new, more striking design.
03:20The grille has been enlarged by 13% to ensure improved cooling for the 8,535 horsepower engine.
03:29New air vents in the bumper direct cooling air directly into the front bumpers to cool the brakes.
03:35The new Vanquish Volante is available to order now in limited numbers.
03:39First deliveries are planned for the 3rd quarter of 2025.
03:45Aston Martin has not yet commented on pricing.
