00:00Hi everyone, and welcome back to Victor Explains.
00:12Today I'm going to show you how to fix the sysprep was not able to validate your Windows installation error on Windows 10, 11, 8, and 7.
00:21Alright, let's get started.
00:23First, close the error window and let's take a look at the log file.
00:28You'll find it in the Panther folder.
00:30Inside, there's a file called setupact.log, just double-click it to open.
00:35You can read the entire log if you like, but usually, the errors are at the bottom, so scroll down to see the latest entries.
00:43To pinpoint the problem, look for the first error.
00:52Here, you'll see the name of the package that's blocking sysprep.
00:55This package needs to be removed, yours might have a different name than mine.
01:00Once you find it, copy the relevant part of the package name exactly as it appears, close the log,
01:06and paste it directly into the two commands I've prepared, between the asterisks or stars.
01:11Don't worry, I've also added these commands in the video description for easy copy-paste.
01:16Next, head to the search bar, type PowerShell, and make sure to run it as administrator.
01:33Now, paste the commands one by one into PowerShell, pressing enter after each.
01:48Once that's done, let's try sysprep again.
02:01Go back to the sysprep folder, run it as admin, and make sure to check generalize, this step is crucial.
02:07Then, select shut down, and click OK.
02:13And that's it!
02:15Sysprep should now work perfectly.
02:17See you soon!
